AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:12 PM UTC · #51894
so you have 2 miners, 1 on d=131 and 1 on 65K?
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:12 PM UTC · #51895
lower EARHINGs with d=131k
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:12 PM UTC · #51896
and you ran them for 24 hours, then swapped the settings and compared the results?
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:13 PM UTC · #51897
Yep ...2 @ 64k and 2 @ 131k
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:13 PM UTC · #51899
and then swapped them and ran the other sets
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:13 PM UTC · #51901
and the ones at 64 made better profits
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:14 PM UTC · #51905
now run a set with D=65K and the other set with no D= setting given
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:15 PM UTC · #51906
theres a reason i dropped the d=setting from my miners a month ago
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:15 PM UTC · #51907
maybe with all the updates its changed yet again.
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:15 PM UTC · #51908
Even MORE profits @ 16k ...Seems klike is NOT supperted anymore ...nether 32k ...like litecoinpool or Nicehash ...
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:16 PM UTC · #51909
when the difficulty is too low, you submit shares too often to the pool
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:16 PM UTC · #51910
that loads down the pool. if you submit shares too fast, the pool will kick you so you do not hog all the resources.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:17 PM UTC · #51911
im still not sure where you are getting MORE profits from honestly.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:17 PM UTC · #51912
more shares at a lower difficulty does not equate to more profits
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:17 PM UTC · #51913
but if you are seeing higher profits with whatever settings you are using, more profits to you.
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:20 PM UTC · #51915
AppleMiner wrote: now run a set with D=65K and the other set with no D= setting given ...Did that too ... IMHO, The reason for increased earnings with lower static diff is when you get rejects/stales we/you are NOT LOSING shares with BIG difficulty ...losing 1 share @ 256k out of 100 or 200 is NOT tha same like losing a shre(s) @16k here and there ...
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:22 PM UTC · #51916
I am trying NOT to load the pool ...be a moderate compromise ...a share every few seconds is optimal IMHO ...
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:23 PM UTC · #51917
if there was overhead to spare then sure
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:23 PM UTC · #51918
but there is a worker cap in place, the pool is close to max capacity now
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:23 PM UTC · #51919
@ 64k is kind of that middle ...for me
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:23 PM UTC · #51920
doubling and trippling the load for the coin assigner is not optimal
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:24 PM UTC · #51921
yes, you and every one else, and now look, instead of 5% left on the coin picker, we are now 90% overloaded.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:24 PM UTC · #51922
until they can parallelize that and remove that as the bottleneck the limits in place are in place.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:25 PM UTC · #51923
if they can relieve that, and have multiple instances of the coin picker running, maybe they can increase the share sampling rates
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:25 PM UTC · #51924
if they are over capacity and bandwidth and network
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:26 PM UTC · #51925
they are finishing up their old projects and will be working on the pool 24-7 going forward
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:26 PM UTC · #51926
I expect a lot of improvment and positive changes in the next month, before the end of 2017 we should all have a great christmas present from the pool int he form of increased profits.
zafar177 · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:28 PM UTC · #51928
Maybe the d= option should be ignored by PH, let them decide so that every worker is treated the same.
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:29 PM UTC · #51929
but not moaning $21 for an L3+ is ok for me, so long as it doesn’t go down lol
zafar177 · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:30 PM UTC · #51930
Lets hope LTC keeps rising.
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:37 PM UTC · #51931
AppleMiner wrote: yes, you and every one else, and now look, instead of 5% left on the coin picker, we are now 90% overloaded. Apple, with all my respect to you ....don’t make me laugh ...my 5 L3+ miners out of 8500 at the moment are just 5/8500=0.0588% of the pool load ...they have been "loading" the pool server the same already 2 months since Sept 15 ...before even the upgrade ...with no problems for me or the pool at all ...Capisco?
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:39 PM UTC · #51932
SOMETHING is DIFFERENT NOW ...after the upgrade(s) ...Let’s hope for the best at the pool side...I am a miner/customer here too ...we are in the same boat ...together ...OK
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:47 PM UTC · #51933
not all in the same boat. My boat is stable and doesnt appear to leak as badly.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:49 PM UTC · #51934
With every upgrade they break something, truly disappointing even more because they don’t take customer complaints seriously.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:51 PM UTC · #51936
Obviously not. Since it is still not solved!
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:52 PM UTC · #51938
what is STILL not solved? can you elaborate?
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:52 PM UTC · #51939
Since the upgrade miners keep connecting and disconnecting every few second/minutes.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:52 PM UTC · #51940
Revenu close to zero, therefore most of them change to backup pools.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:53 PM UTC · #51941
mine have been connected for 3 days now
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:53 PM UTC · #51942
i dont drop on and off, not sure
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:53 PM UTC · #51943
Seems to be casued by the difficulty option.
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:53 PM UTC · #51944
OK, Apple ...good for you ...Have a nice sailing ...Cheers ...
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:53 PM UTC · #51948
did you increase it to see if that fixed it?
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:54 PM UTC · #51949
Do you know what that means?
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:54 PM UTC · #51951
Our miners are 8000 miles away and we don’t have remote access!
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:54 PM UTC · #51952
shouldnt have hosted it at a place without access to your machines?
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:55 PM UTC · #51953
did you have them point to like mining rentals so you can control via a website where they mine from there?
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:55 PM UTC · #51954
Shouldn’t chat with narrow minded people like yourself
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:55 PM UTC · #51955
if I didnt have direct access to my rigs id have done something like that
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:56 PM UTC · #51956
wait, so a setting changed, you cant access the miners to change your settings, and its the world fault? no please go on this is amusing.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:57 PM UTC · #51957
Miners up and running for a year, no issues, PH comes with upgrade and mining at PH stops, who’s to blame?????
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:57 PM UTC · #51958
software changes constantly now, ms break stuff and dont fix it for months lol, a few days and everyone is pissing and moaning, bad planning on the users part is not PH’s fault
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:57 PM UTC · #51959
so if they did no upgrades and it just stopped working who would be to blame then?
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:58 PM UTC · #51960
biscayne wrote: Miners up and running for a year, no issues, PH comes with upgrade and mining at PH stops, who’s to blame????? you for bad planning
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:58 PM UTC · #51961
so what D= setting do you have bis on the miners?
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:59 PM UTC · #51962
@AppleMiner : </strong> seems we are the only 2 sane ppl here lol
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 08:59 PM UTC · #51963
If your iPhone no longer works after an Apple upgrade, you are to blame because you did not buy Samsung right?
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:00 PM UTC · #51964
no but if 100 people upgrade and only your phone stops, maybe it was software you had on it?
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:00 PM UTC · #51965
biscayne wrote: If your iPhone no longer works after an Apple upgrade, you are to blame because you did not buy Samsung right? completly diffrent circumstance
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:00 PM UTC · #51966
and not apples fault at all?
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:01 PM UTC · #51967
so maybe there is an issue.
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:01 PM UTC · #51969
a. a firmware upgrade on a device cannot be compared to a ’cloud’ service
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:01 PM UTC · #51970
that D= is being ignored, OR maybe with the difficulty increase today, the old settings of 65K are no longer high enough to work
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:02 PM UTC · #51971
so again, what D= setting are you using that no longer works today
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:02 PM UTC · #51972
Zigen was on bitching that one wasnt paying as high as another
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:02 PM UTC · #51973
but not that he couldnt get on and mine at all.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:03 PM UTC · #51974
so if you are saying you have a setting that is kicking the miners, what D= setting is it, I can have chris and steve look into it when they get off work
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:03 PM UTC · #51976
and then get home and read through the issues of the day so they can start to work on them
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:03 PM UTC · #51977
but people with this...hasnt bee fixed YET...I think it was posted today...and they havent gotten home from work yet to read it.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:04 PM UTC · #51978
So many people have been complaining to Chris and Steve, didn’t help much.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:04 PM UTC · #51979
when they leave their old jobs and work the pool 24-7 then you can bitch I made a post 24 mins ago and it hasnt been fixed yet.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:05 PM UTC · #51982
and help im getting kicked now
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:05 PM UTC · #51983
isnt really any kind of useful info they can use to begin to track any problems down.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:05 PM UTC · #51984
With miners at a differnet location with remote access removing d=32768 resolved the issues
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:06 PM UTC · #51985
i saw on psots TODAY there is some issue with the D= settings is that what we are talking about?
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:06 PM UTC · #51986
seems like half the ppl shouldn’t be mining if they don’t understand how it works, yes i’m a noob to mining but have spent a lot of time researching and reading, first port of call is help pages
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:07 PM UTC · #51988
bis instead of removing it did you try 131K
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:07 PM UTC · #51989
and it states that d= isnt really needed as the back end will find optimum diff for your miner
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:08 PM UTC · #51990
if people what to use settings that give them less than the maximum payout they could get, im not going to tell them no, just question their motives, intensions and insanity.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:08 PM UTC · #51991
@djliss FYI I’m into mining for many tears and believe me I know how it works
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:08 PM UTC · #51992
but again, i dont take data or statements of fact at face value, I test them first to be sure they arent blowing smoke up my ass
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:09 PM UTC · #51993
it may take a little while for back end to work it out but after that should be all good, i dont use d= and never have and my miners are fine
