and ...the last time i checked a month ago....the D= setting not being there was paying me 10% higher than using any other D=setting as a static.
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:10 PM UTC · #51995
@biscayne : have you read the help page then?
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:10 PM UTC · #51996
that was after the d=2048 day fisacco and the corrections and the we now kick people with too lo difficulty as a result
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:10 PM UTC · #51997
give it a try and add a D= setting, I’m pretty sure your miner will have problems
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:12 PM UTC · #51999
@biscayne : 1. why would i purposely introduce problems when its working fine? 2. i don’t want to 3. i let the system work out the best diff for my miners and it works fine
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:12 PM UTC · #52002
it what makes life worth living.
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:13 PM UTC · #52003
@AppleMiner : </strong> lol, you have plenty to play with!!! i have 1 so i aint going to try and fix something that aint broke!!!
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:13 PM UTC · #52004
60 sec reboot, 1 min uptime, and its conencted in.
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:13 PM UTC · #52005
true! Live is full of challenges!
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:14 PM UTC · #52006
yeah I can toss 1 of the 21 over to a diff setting just to give it a test shot
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:14 PM UTC · #52007
so im connected and mining with d=131072
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:14 PM UTC · #52008
i leave fixing non brke things for work where i get paid by the hour lol
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:14 PM UTC · #52010
it gets kicked randomly or ?
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:15 PM UTC · #52011
@AppleMiner : </strong> from what ppl have been bitching about it sounds like a coin change
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:15 PM UTC · #52012
yes it should get disconnected every couple of minuets
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:16 PM UTC · #52014
ok ill give it 20 or so and see if I gets booted or not
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:17 PM UTC · #52015
@AppleMiner : </strong> keep an eye on litecoinpool and see if any hashrate or shares are registerd or do they not fail over when kicked?
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:18 PM UTC · #52017
so it has a fresh status page with uptime and work done on each pool on its status page
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:18 PM UTC · #52018
was it a coin change or just random
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:18 PM UTC · #52019
so if it fails over and reconnects ill see work on backup pools
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:18 PM UTC · #52020
Bis another thing I was thinking about....your worker names, what are they, example?
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:18 PM UTC · #52022
ahh thaught you ment you had been kicked and it restarted lol, my bad
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:18 PM UTC · #52023
or something like n=biss_miner1
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:19 PM UTC · #52024
We have noticed worker names with an underscore no longer work
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:19 PM UTC · #52025
thats what i was wondering also
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:19 PM UTC · #52026
with the protege upgrade are maybe the booting miner issues related to a name convention that isnt usable anymore
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:20 PM UTC · #52027
mine is just antminerdir for direct as i was at one point comming through mrr
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:20 PM UTC · #52028
like maybe the underscore in names, I think i fixed someones issue with that a week ago before the upgrades though
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:20 PM UTC · #52030
We were lucky to have only underscores in miners with remote access, so after changing the worker name it was OK.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:21 PM UTC · #52031
was that pre or post upgrades changes?
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:21 PM UTC · #52032
or was that from a week ago or so?:
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:22 PM UTC · #52034
ill make a mention to steve
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:22 PM UTC · #52035
we have about 200 miners in total (A4, L3+ and D3)
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:22 PM UTC · #52036
to add that as an annoucment on the stauts of the day, maybe that can head off some tickets
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:24 PM UTC · #52037
A4s have no remote access, workern ames are no issue there (n=1, n=2 etc)
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:24 PM UTC · #52038
the only other option is the diff
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:25 PM UTC · #52039
we had a weird one the other day at work, took a few mins to work it out, a customer dumps data out of our software as a csv, the prat had put a ’,’ in a value (eur) and it threw the whole csv out lol
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:26 PM UTC · #52040
My miners are using al3_1, al3_2 etc with NO problems before and even now ... after the upgrade ...now
Forum notification · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:26 PM UTC · #52042
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:28 PM UTC · #52045
if using a csv file at all better use ; as field separator
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:28 PM UTC · #52046
@AppleMiner : </strong> ok so does that have a diffrent meaning in the us lol cos i didn’t get that!!!
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:29 PM UTC · #52047
then it wouldn’t be a csv!!!!
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:29 PM UTC · #52048
was commenting on the person who put a , in a CSV output
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:29 PM UTC · #52049
and threw the columns all off when importing it back in
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:31 PM UTC · #52051
ahh thaught it was the plot thickens comment lol
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:31 PM UTC · #52053
18 mins still connected with stat d=131K no kicks yet
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:32 PM UTC · #52055
ive seen it work both ways, with and without
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:32 PM UTC · #52058
and ive seen it where the pool was dead, I changed the workers name or the account i was using and poof its alive and connected
GIRTAB · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:33 PM UTC · #52059
On a D3. No D=setting. Should I be concerned about high Discarded shares? I don’t see any Rejected or Stale shares, but more discarded than accepted. And I do experience the pool dropping and reconnecting me constantly. I sometime play with the d= setting but can’t determine a nice warm spot to settle at because, and only because of the high rate of discarded shares and constant pool drops at any setting, so I just leave it out. Can any of you with all >5 Antminers in operation post some solid info we with only 1 or 2 D3 miners can use as a baseline. Or should I just wait until the upgrade and see how things pan out?
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:33 PM UTC · #52060
Sorry for the repeat post ...
may142012 · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:34 PM UTC · #52061
Hey apple, do you know which static difficulty number for D3? You know d=???? or you are keeping the secret for yourself
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:35 PM UTC · #52062
Thanks AppleMiner, are you in the US?
may142012 · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:35 PM UTC · #52063
I want to mine solo anyway
ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:36 PM UTC · #52064
I have 1xD3 ...password settings : ... "a=x11 n=AD3_1 d=16" ...working like a champ, no problems before or AFTER the upgrade ...
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:37 PM UTC · #52065
i dont have d=settings for the L3+s or the D3s
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:37 PM UTC · #52068
24 mins connected on static D= setting 131K no kicks, no issues
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:38 PM UTC · #52069
i’ve thaught of a good one for the site, in the top bar on your earnings page have the time when PH’s day ends in your local time, i still havn’t worked it out yet but i think its about 4am local to me
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:39 PM UTC · #52072
live balances on the coin when you expand it
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:39 PM UTC · #52074
its a countdown to midnight server time
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:40 PM UTC · #52075
ahh ok cool, that helps cheers
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:40 PM UTC · #52076
sometimes its not up or isnt up til closer til midnight
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:41 PM UTC · #52077
it was on 22 hours the other day for me lol, think it only shows when you hit threshold
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:41 PM UTC · #52078
What type of miner did you use for the test?
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:41 PM UTC · #52079
was hoping to watch BTC hit 10K for the first time live
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:41 PM UTC · #52080
but it looks like its being fickle in making up its mind to cross the 10K mark
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:42 PM UTC · #52083
£7,454.64 on coinbase, long time for £10k lol
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:42 PM UTC · #52084
and its reporting 100 lower hashrate than when i dont use a static D=
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:42 PM UTC · #52085
here were we use USD, its close to 10K
biscayne · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:42 PM UTC · #52086
are you using BM firmware?
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:43 PM UTC · #52088
wow scrypt almost touchung 8c
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:44 PM UTC · #52091
little bit better the hashrate adjusted a bit
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:44 PM UTC · #52092
but its only at 30 mins, id have to give it a full 2 hours to get a good reading i could rely on
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 09:45 PM UTC · #52093
really need to update mine, its on april, but i don’t have any probs really so holding off
