seems to work good today
jess_1 · Mon Nov 27, 2017 06:08 PM UTC · #51695
i totally agree with apple on this, the oc was worth it, i have just two l3s, one pushing 660 the other 650s, both under (just)1% hw errors after many days.
impi · Mon Nov 27, 2017 06:09 PM UTC · #51696
i have a noob question
, where do i find those hw errors ?
Maxiimos · Mon Nov 27, 2017 06:37 PM UTC · #51697
Apple, have you swapped a rig over to PH since the upgrade? Is PH performing better than NH?
may142012 · Mon Nov 27, 2017 06:37 PM UTC · #51698
Jesus, i was plugged in the 10A - 250V power cord to run my D3, and a few seconds later, the the power cord started to make fire. Thank gods, i had plugged it out immediately.
deathlessdd · Mon Nov 27, 2017 06:44 PM UTC · #51699
was the cable made for a 250v?
coldstone · Mon Nov 27, 2017 06:56 PM UTC · #51700
what happend to the d=xxx paramater? all miners were constantly reconnecting after removing d=xxx it works fine.. (got some remote miners that cant instantly be changed
)
deathlessdd · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:12 PM UTC · #51702
Maybe a short in the cable then
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:17 PM UTC · #51704
the powers need 12 amp minimums
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:18 PM UTC · #51705
I think the bitmain apw3+ and 5+s state they require 12 amp power cords to conenct to the outlets.
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:18 PM UTC · #51706
@coldstone : maybe your D settings are too low.
deathlessdd · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:22 PM UTC · #51708
but the miner doesnt pull over 10amps
deathlessdd · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:23 PM UTC · #51709
and 250volts would be less amps then a 110volt
djliss · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:23 PM UTC · #51710
i was running 2kw on a 240V circuit (about 8A) 10A extension and the cable was getting warm!!
djliss · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:24 PM UTC · #51712
spit the units to 1 extension each all ok now
deathlessdd · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:25 PM UTC · #51713
lol i think its normal for the cable to get warm
Aura89 · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:43 PM UTC · #51714
Could be wrong, but i’m not sure your cable should ever get warm, and if it is, it’d be better to get a better cable, then risk a fire. I may be just overly cautious....
coldstone · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:47 PM UTC · #51715
AppleMiner wrote: @coldstone : maybe your D settings are too low. unless it changed, but was running the same settings for several months
Aura89 · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:47 PM UTC · #51716
i myself, like 10-gauge power cables....
djliss · Mon Nov 27, 2017 07:49 PM UTC · #51717
i dont like the idea of warm cables lol, getting a 50A feed fitted

AppleMiner: When you mention you have 4 virtual machines doing hashing, can you elaborate?

Worth off hashrate i meant

djliss · Mon Nov 27, 2017 09:39 PM UTC · #51729
anyone selling an L3+ anywhere?
johnquoni · Mon Nov 27, 2017 10:04 PM UTC · #51731
am I correct in saying this.. When I mine a coin as solo, i get the coin block and if other users are mining it, I picked a share of the merge mining?
johnquoni · Mon Nov 27, 2017 10:12 PM UTC · #51732
depnds..djliss... I have one. I might .. let go of....
sublimeguy · Mon Nov 27, 2017 11:48 PM UTC · #51734
johnquoni wrote: am I correct in saying this.. When I mine a coin as solo, i get the coin block and if other users are mining it, I picked a share of the merge mining? i think what you’re saying is correct, but essentially solo mining youre on your own to solve a block. If you solve a block, you get the entire block reward. If you dont solve a block you get nothing. In a pool you get your proportional share of all blocks solved by the pool in accordance with your hashrate contribution
sublimeguy · Mon Nov 27, 2017 11:48 PM UTC · #51735
in pretty basic terms. someone can correct me if thats not technically right
djliss · Tue Nov 28, 2017 12:51 AM UTC · #51742

johnquoni · Tue Nov 28, 2017 02:48 AM UTC · #51759
I was offered 40LTC 2 weeks ago. I said no.... I should have said yes.. So that is a good number.
...
scriptman4 · Tue Nov 28, 2017 02:52 AM UTC · #51761
that would of been a good deal. could of had a few months free mining (minus elec) then sell for a profit

ZiGen · Tue Nov 28, 2017 03:52 AM UTC · #51782
IDK, maybe ...Just try ...
fallingcurtain · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:32 AM UTC · #51783
Hows the daily look on the L3+ now? Ive been at NH last few days.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:34 AM UTC · #51784
im looking at $23 per myself, but im a bit OCed.
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:35 AM UTC · #51785
and getting LTC payouts, for coins not so good, 5.3 for the day
fallingcurtain · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:38 AM UTC · #51786
yeah thats what it is I guess. Ill stay on NH for a bit as I have it set to come here if the profit gets too low. See how well that functionality works
fallingcurtain · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:40 AM UTC · #51787
Ive been buying/loading Bitcoincash. Banking on a run up and time to buy more miners
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:41 AM UTC · #51788
assuming they accept that on the next batches or newer models
fallingcurtain · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:42 AM UTC · #51790
in dont think they are done with BCH. Its got a ways to go
AppleMiner · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:43 AM UTC · #51791
93.5 waiting for LTC to do the $100 happy dance
fallingcurtain · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:45 AM UTC · #51792
LTC will be $200 befor you know it.
Minermoe · Tue Nov 28, 2017 04:49 AM UTC · #51793
@Steve or Chris (Theminingbros) lol do you have any plans to adopt EOS as a payout coin? If so, do you have a date?
