Hi, I’m pretty new to mining (4weeks now), at the beginning i earned like $3 a day with eth (30mh/s) and over the weekend it ramped up to $8 a day and now back to $5. there was no change in my hardware or anything. I know that eth was pretty high these days but it was not such a big difference to explain (to me) the difference in the earnings. can someone help what I missunderstand?
@sanderti Think of it like this. every $0.01 the price per MH goes up, you will get .30 more cents a day. So if we go from .10, to .30 (at times) that is an increase of 6 dollars a day for you.

ETH profitability fluctuates based on network congestion transaction fees. You earn extra when people are paying more to send transactions on the network.
This morning every time I run the miner from the quick start guide it starts up fine but then gives me my folder directory C:\ect followed by Press any key to continue and then terminates when I press any key. Anyone know what is going on?

It finally started working again, not sure why but happy it works.

Sorry that I am newbie. Question. If I mine proswitch, my payout is whatever I mine.. or what I have set as payout proportions on the payout page? I don’t receive whatever coin I was mining?
blue3 wrote: Will I lose my rewards on PPLNS if i disconnected before finding a block?
No. You’ll receive your share when the block is found by someone else.
I read some article saying ocassional user might not be rewarded. But maybe i think too much cause sometimes disconnected is not "occassional" XD Btw, How many days (in average) a ETH block is found?
I followed exactly the "getting started" video on Youtube but I get an error " connect to prohashing.com:3339 - access refused - can anybody help please ?
On PPLNS mining, do I have to make Ethereum payout for Ethash? I want the payout is Dogecoin, worked for FPPS but on PPLNS statistic, it payout 0.000..000 on ETH
solo and pplns you are mining the coin you are mining. The reward is in that coin (SOLO =100% PPLNS X% where X is the percentage of shares you contributed)

Thanks man, that’s why i get 0,000..0000 ETH. Changing back to FPPS
Alynn wrote: Sure, May I suggest you check out all the great documentation this site has. It lays out a lot of it and makes it easy to understand.
Ok. I already mined for a week with FPPS. Just tried out PPLNS and it makes me a little bit of confusing. But that’s alright now. I guess i forgot that only FPPS here payout to another coins
blue3 wrote:In PPLNS mode, merge mined rewards are still credited as if the miner were mining in FPPS mode. When a share is submitted, you earn a small value of the target PPLNS coin, which comes from the expected value of the merge-mining. The value is often around 2% of the PPLNS primary coin rewards and is recorded in "Selected Shares."
Finally got back around to trying to figure out why I cannot connect to mine ETCHASH. Your workers configuration site https://prohashing.com/tools/miner-configurator/Etchash has the incorrect information for mining ETC on Prohashing
the link shows port 3357 however it appears ETC was rolled up into the other lower memory ethash algo coins under port 3358. When I switched to port 3358 it works.

Can you share the configuration & miner name + version?
ok I give up on this as now nothing but rejected shares. So assume port is 3357. Just failing in the miner. I’ve created ticket UST-9417 to continue further. Thanks

We’re not aware of any case where etchash would have been included with other low-memory coins; there are many miners mining etchash right now
Thanks Steve, Christopher replied to the ticket that this has affected several users before but apparently it’s a bug in the miner not the pool. I switched from Phoenixminer5.3b to gminer and so far gminer seems to be working. No errors and no rejected shares since making the switch.

and my mine_eth.bat line is like that: miner.exe --algo ethash --server prohashing.com:3339 --user vxcryptomine --pass a=ethash,w=250,p=0.1,n=vxinvest pause

Have your Firewall turned off? I’m using gminer too and my connection is fine even my ping to prohashing is around 270ms
Yes - it would appear there may be an issue... My LTC payout is still pending. Although I did get $2 from the merged mining part of it, just not the motherlode I’m waiting on.
payment can take up to 24h depenting on market fluctuations if I am not mistaken. a few days ago it also took some hours, but it will always be payed out sooner or later

When that happens, there is timer on the dashboard. For me the timer isn’t doing anything, and remaining coins to payout right next to it says 0.
Newbie here. Have a question. I’m configured to mine FPPS mode. In the ProHash portal I see block rewards achieved, do I receive a those earnings displayed?
