not to loose daily income?
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:36 AM UTC · #6274
Konov, "people" are complaining because the bots on NH are sapping profits away to just a few people by taking hashing power away, while prohashing is making things profitable for *everyone* who has hashing power of some kind
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:36 AM UTC · #6275
people who wish to keep their accounts secure
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:36 AM UTC · #6276
last week there was a n account robery
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:37 AM UTC · #6278
Well, just do not use NH if you think it’s not fair LOL
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:37 AM UTC · #6279
account robbery because of users theirselfs
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:37 AM UTC · #6280
make smart passwords. keep your pc safe. that all.
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:38 AM UTC · #6281
like i said.. NH is gambling. you ether come out with profit, or you lose. and thats why il never use it
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:38 AM UTC · #6282
a strong password won’t stop a determined black hat from using things like security questions to reset your password.
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:38 AM UTC · #6283
Konov, not a good way of thinking when it comes to crypto security
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:39 AM UTC · #6284
If you got secure password, secure computer, there is no way to crack password, the only way is to crack service provider itself
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:39 AM UTC · #6285
someone lost 8k in bitcoin. and it wasnt because he was an idiot.. the hacker social engineered a verisign tech to get information, reset pssords gained access and too everything
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:40 AM UTC · #6286
Konov, your loss if it happens, you can never be sure. 2FA makes sure your shit is safe
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:40 AM UTC · #6287
ok. it was hack on a user himself
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:40 AM UTC · #6288
if it wasnt needed it wouldnt exist
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #6289
and 2fa can be hacked buy social too
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #6290
Konov, 2FA prevents such things. you can’t hack a cell phone you don’t have and don’t know the phone number to.
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #6291
something you know, your password. Something you have, your phone.
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #6292
and you cant hack without password
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #6293
no, 2fa is a 30 second token that is personal to your phone
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #6296
it is not personal to phone
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #6299
it is personal to a key token
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #6300
doesn’t have to be, but for most people, their phone is the "something you have" part
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #6301
and mine is locked to my fingerprint
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #6302
if you got key token - you got 2fa
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #6303
for others, it’s a key fob of some kind
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:43 AM UTC · #6304
so, there are many ways to crack 2fa by social engeniring too
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:43 AM UTC · #6306
Greg, you shouldn’t lock a mobile device using a fingerprint. too easy to compromise. Better a complex password that’s easy for you to remember. you can always change the password, but you can’t change your thumbprint.
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:43 AM UTC · #6307
and do not forget to mention, if you will lost your phone - you will lost 2fa
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:44 AM UTC · #6308

my week with 1/2 mh's on hashflare. perminant contract. il be going up to 5mh/s later this week
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:45 AM UTC · #6310
the good practice is do not open links on a chat LOL
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:45 AM UTC · #6311
If you want for funds to stay safe
VanessaEzekowitz · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:45 AM UTC · #6312
Konov, if you’re worried about opening a link, you’re using the wrong OS.
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:46 AM UTC · #6314
Vanessa, I’m worring about my funds
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:46 AM UTC · #6315
so, this is a good practice - do not open ANY links on a publis sources
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:47 AM UTC · #6317
then use 2fa and an offlne wallet like coinomi
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:47 AM UTC · #6318
I’m using many things, but 2fa for the pool? Well it’s a silly
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:48 AM UTC · #6319
all professional and popular pools have 2fa
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:48 AM UTC · #6320
2fa is sound great. and yes "professional"
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:48 AM UTC · #6321
thats fine if you dont thing its smart to use.. but when you realise your payouts are going to an address thats not yours, theres only one person to blame
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:49 AM UTC · #6322
but the right thing is - make email confirmation for every withdraw/change in withdraw address - I bet it will be enough
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:49 AM UTC · #6323
2fa must be on exchange and email. On a pool any email confirmation will be enough!
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:56 AM UTC · #6324
man we need a mod to rid these advertising bots, ive offered but no response
Konov · Wed Jun 14, 2017 07:17 AM UTC · #6326
... а у нас тока утро настало. LOL
AvPro · Wed Jun 14, 2017 08:36 AM UTC · #6327

ilgam · Wed Jun 14, 2017 09:15 AM UTC · #6330

ilgam · Wed Jun 14, 2017 09:18 AM UTC · #6331
тут есть русские ? может мне кто нибудь объяснить, почему выплата ушла на другой левый кошелек
ilgam · Wed Jun 14, 2017 09:51 AM UTC · #6333
объясни, тут немного не понимаю, пытался вывести вручную монеты, не получалось, как будто стоит минималка на вывод, я правильно понял ?
ilgam · Wed Jun 14, 2017 09:51 AM UTC · #6334
опять же, почему тогда не прошла минималка на лайт коин кошелек, не понятно вообще : (
FRISKIE · Wed Jun 14, 2017 11:02 AM UTC · #6335
@ ilgam - did you have 2FA enabled? Oh right, Konov argues against it
lol

mjgraham · Wed Jun 14, 2017 12:34 PM UTC · #6339

pilottage · Wed Jun 14, 2017 02:46 PM UTC · #6345

FRISKIE · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:02 PM UTC · #6348
does anyone else think shares are behind right now? Shares are definitely behind, I've contacted Chris at
contact@prohashing.com and asked him to check it and give a manual kick . .
AvPro · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:04 PM UTC · #6349
it’s 10mins behind right now on the homepage which is weird because pool hash rate is well below the new max
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:29 PM UTC · #6350
its possiblt theres a database scrypt running like vacuum or maybe its a bug in the new coding, who knows. but if an email is sent im sure they will look into it
AvPro · Wed Jun 14, 2017 06:42 PM UTC · #6351
i think its fine @FRISKIE : what time of day do you think you have a gap

FRISKIE · Wed Jun 14, 2017 07:40 PM UTC · #6353
what time of day do you think you have a gap There was a period a little while ago where Scrypt shot up to something like 30-40 cents, I suppose because the shares were catching up . . but, they can always fall behind again at any time
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 07:45 PM UTC · #6354
FRISKIE wrote: what time of day do you think you have a gap There was a period a little while ago where Scrypt shot up to something like 30-40 cents, I suppose because the shares were catching up . . but, they can always fall behind again at any time they really shouldn't fall behind after the upgrades yesterday, unless we hit 1.15th's
FRISKIE · Wed Jun 14, 2017 07:47 PM UTC · #6355
Shouldn’t, but did at least once today, fell way behind, shares not counting at all for maybe as long as an hour, I didn’t monitor close enough to say exactly. But when the dam broke they all counted up in a hurry.
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 07:47 PM UTC · #6356
ssteve just said chris is looking into that instance
FRISKIE · Wed Jun 14, 2017 07:52 PM UTC · #6357
Uhum, was just responding to your comment that it shouldn’t happen after the upgrade, but it did
GregoryGHarding · Wed Jun 14, 2017 07:54 PM UTC · #6358
i was refering to if there was an error that chris is fixing..lol text makes things confusing sometimes

@Steve Sokolowski : please check your forum PMs. I’ve sent you an exchange/payout request.
