okay, done.. so. i add the stuff in the json file.. done.. now what?
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:38 PM UTC · #3303
if all goes right u should see the worker op up on your earnings page
Kirbyfez · Mon May 22, 2017 09:42 PM UTC · #3306
calculating hashrate
so yea its working
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:42 PM UTC · #3307
i take payment in chocolate or DOGE
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:43 PM UTC · #3309
you should have printout in command window of your per CPU hash rate and will show if you find a share
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:44 PM UTC · #3312
if you want to mine x11 instead of scrypt just change that in your json and restart
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:44 PM UTC · #3314
scrpty is more profitable but you will get higher hashrate on x11
Kirbyfez · Mon May 22, 2017 09:45 PM UTC · #3315
well how long would it takes ish with 8 kH/s to find anything at all haha..
Kirbyfez · Mon May 22, 2017 09:47 PM UTC · #3317
lol.. its that bad huh?.. thats put together.. i’m getting about 2 per thread
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:48 PM UTC · #3318
just try changing a=x11 amd "algo" to x11
Kirbyfez · Mon May 22, 2017 09:57 PM UTC · #3322
btw, any of guys looked into mining Sia?
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:57 PM UTC · #3323
forums died for me for a short time there
Kirbyfez · Mon May 22, 2017 09:57 PM UTC · #3325
was here as well so guess its a site issue
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:58 PM UTC · #3326
sia is a sloud storage paid crypto right
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 09:59 PM UTC · #3327
youre paid in sia for adding your storage devices to their cloud?
Kirbyfez · Mon May 22, 2017 10:01 PM UTC · #3328
hmm, not sure.. but i just mine it at least.. started a bit today.. just to try it out..
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:02 PM UTC · #3330

GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 10:09 PM UTC · #3339
a gridseed now goes for like 160. not bad
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:10 PM UTC · #3340
er ya sry gridseed lol, not grid lock
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:11 PM UTC · #3342
on ebay, even eith 60 bucks shipping, its a bargain
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:12 PM UTC · #3345
*er, 5 peices, 60 shipping to my zone
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:14 PM UTC · #3347
i are in swissland, so im talking orbs even not blades
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 10:15 PM UTC · #3348
orbs are the 6 asic gold heatsinked things right?
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:15 PM UTC · #3349
but darn it, 120 bucks, for 5 orbs, to get em here...
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:15 PM UTC · #3350

lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:19 PM UTC · #3353
if any of you guys have a source for old orbs im a small individual, looking to get 12 mh max out of orbs at 7w per peice...
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:20 PM UTC · #3354
ihave seqarched high and large in euro internets and i cannot find em for sale
Kirbyfez · Mon May 22, 2017 10:23 PM UTC · #3355
anyone tried one of these: Bitmain AntRouter R1-LTC Litecoin Scrypt ASIC Miner
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:27 PM UTC · #3356
i seen em.. but watt compared to a gridseed
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:28 PM UTC · #3357
i mran 7 watt compared to a full powered
lilbob · Mon May 22, 2017 10:30 PM UTC · #3358
then it is truely a space, vs livingconditions/temp
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 10:42 PM UTC · #3361
i used to be able to find them for 40 but theyve doubled in the last month
GregoryGHarding · Mon May 22, 2017 10:42 PM UTC · #3362
the gridseed 8mh's blades are the only thing holding their price because they need external power
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 06:25 AM UTC · #3365
Been mining for quite a few hours now but still on the earning page it just says calculating hash rate and no fields are filled out(except live worker (1)).. is it supposed to be like that?
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 06:43 AM UTC · #3366
is it just only supposed to show speed per thread and some times x11 block then some numbers? thats it.. nothing else.. no accepted share or anything like that
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 06:44 AM UTC · #3367
What’s actually supposed to show in the cmd window? for me it just says the speed per thread and once a minute some block info x11 numbers then dif numbers.. no accepted share ever or anything like that
Chris Sokolowski · Tue May 23, 2017 07:03 AM UTC · #3368
@Kirbyfez are you using the "a=x11" password argument? You need that or else the system will think your miner is scrypt and will reject your x11 shares.

Can it be that my hash rate it so small that its just not having any gain at all?
Chris Sokolowski · Tue May 23, 2017 07:37 AM UTC · #3372
What hardware are you using to mine?

oh i’m just using my own laptop.. it’s crap haha... just really trying out for fun hitting about 250 kH/s only
Chris Sokolowski · Tue May 23, 2017 08:28 AM UTC · #3375
I would suggest setting the lowest manual difficulty possible then. We do have automatic difficulty adjustment, but your miner has to submit a few shares for us to estimate your hashrate before the difficulty will be lowered. With such a low hashrate, there won’t be enough shares submitted at the default difficulty for the automatic difficulty to work.
Chris Sokolowski · Tue May 23, 2017 08:29 AM UTC · #3376
You will earn the same amount of money regardless of the difficulty though.
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 08:29 AM UTC · #3377
"diff-multiplier" : 256, thats that one? so what should i put it on?

O be careful with laptop cpu mining, if it overheats even a little, it will slow the machine down forever
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 02:19 PM UTC · #3380
@Kirbyfez : add "d=512" to your password argument
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 02:20 PM UTC · #3381
{ "url" : "stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333", "user" : "kirbyfez", "pass" : "n=worker a=x11 d=512", "algo" : "x11", "threads" : 0, "cpu-priority" : 0, "cpu-affinity" : -1, "diff-multiplier" : 256, "benchmark" : false, "debug" : false, "protocol": false, "quiet" : false }
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 02:22 PM UTC · #3382
@Chris Sokolowski : </strong> or can d= go lower than 512.. or what is 512 equal to in x11 diff settings?
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 02:29 PM UTC · #3383
@Kirbyfez : "diff-multiplier" : 256, try removing this from your json completly and see if it will run, if not put it back in and change it to 1
piet · Tue May 23, 2017 03:06 PM UTC · #3384
d=256 wont run, this will turn into 4096
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #3385
nobody wrote d=256 the diff-multiplier is software specific
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 03:43 PM UTC · #3386
its working after i put the diff multiplier to 1
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #3388
did you use d=512 in your password
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #3389
due to my crappy hardware tho, i think i might make more out of just mining Quark..
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 03:46 PM UTC · #3392
put d=512 in your password arguments
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 03:46 PM UTC · #3393
yea didnt do that.. just changed the diff multipier
GregoryGHarding · Tue May 23, 2017 03:47 PM UTC · #3396
your best chance at profitability is a profitability switching pool prohashing is your best bet
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 03:47 PM UTC · #3397
still barely anything.. running all day.. 0.00000071btc... with quark i can get around 100 coins a day.. choices choices choices
Kirbyfez · Tue May 23, 2017 03:48 PM UTC · #3399
what should i collect in then?
