that’s why i’ve switched to a different pool

SrTopete wrote: So I’m also getting this "this mining server just restarted and has not yet finished computing the DAG for this share" error. Is it due to the memory upgrade failing issue?
Looking into this, should be fixed soon. It's unrelated to the memory issue.

SrTopete · · #97413

Thx @Steven

tiluron · · #97414

and how many time that will be take ?

SrTopete · · #97415

Right now it’s back to normal for me.

anyone know if we can dual mine ETH and ZIL on Prohashing?

mustex · · #97421

Anyone else having issues with prohashing.com status page loading? WebSocket connection to ’wss://live.prohashing.com/ws’ failed.

What is the reason for the fall of profitability on Ethash? ( 4.924 ¢/MH/s)

vit_lab · · #97423

@ mustex The site works without errors. Look for the problem at home.

The reason in recent high profitability were extremely high gas fees (DEX like Uniswap etc.) and very congested network with plenty of transactions, people going crazy on price rise and drops. Now it’s just more calm than before, so not so much traffic. Additionally they pushed new EIP that was supposed to improve gas fees.

Banished_Privateer · · #97426

Once people get bullish again, I reckon profitability will follow up too.

Steve Sokolowski · · #97427

The mining servers have been restarted with the latest code and now they will take 3 seconds to reboot the next time

Steve Sokolowski · · #97428

slayb89 · · #97429

I usually see a discrepancy between the site’s Dashboard mh/s and the console’s mh/s - which is accurate and being used for profit calc?

userless · · #97430

I think on the site you see the overall hashrate you get, not the current hashrate you have in the miner. I might be wrong

Banished_Privateer · · #97431

The console mh/s is depending on the software and it’s often theoretical, some softwares like Phoenix Miner display both, theoretical and actual. The websites hash usually over time evens out from what I noticed and they both converge.

dhandler01 · · #97432

ETH miners are not connecting at all...\

dhandler01 · · #97433

rmpx · · #97440

slayb89: This is the only pool that does not offer us an average hashrate every 24 hours per miner. I don’t know how many coins I earn, everything is pegged to the dollar, and this varies by market. Sorry, but for me it’s a mess. I really don’t know how much I produce per day.

Alynn · · #97441

Check out your customer charts. You can see your earnings percoin per day. But yes there is no average hashrate on the website make sure you request that.

rmpx · · #97442

Alynn: Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, I already knew about this chart, but it’s a mess, too. To give you an idea, it confuses the hashrate between the different mined coins. The hashrate must be theoretical, it’s all wrong. I already requested. I got no response from support ;D.

rmpx · · #97443

Alynn: Thank you, I was able to find the daily coin gain! :D I didn’t realize I had to move the mouse...

rmpx · · #97444

Alynn: But, is it very difficult to follow the daily gain on this chart ahn? In addition to the information not being side by side, the data does not have a proportional rate of coin distribution (payout) in the period. I really dont know, yet, how much I earned in each period :(

USD doesn’t pay out for a few days, it’s delayed and the underlying BTC is sold then you are credited as per the docs. USDCoin however, should be paying out daily, but somehow I’ve got four days worth stuck in my account.

Marduke · · #97449

Rivve · · #97450

go to https://prohashing.com/customer/account and then click the trusted mining tab

Yeah it paid out this afternoon. On another topic does anyone else get "incorrect algo" when they do ETH mining? Pretty much every miner but GMiner does that for me now so it is getting difficult to mine. Anyone know what causes this?

just wanted to say is anyone else loving litecoin pplns, with all the merge mining is basically hybrid fpps/pplns

dhandler01 · · #97465

I am using Awesome Miner so I am not sure how to do that...

dhandler01 · · #97466

The issue seems to be overclocking according to my research. Apparently Phoenix does not do well with overclocked Nvidia GPUs. I went back to stock but still found the issue in Phoenix but T-Rex is working again and I honestly and seeing the same results overall so overclocking wasn’t helping anyways :)

Banished_Privateer · · #97467

It’s not just Phoenix but most miners, it depends on how they generate DAG file. If you overclock AFTER generating DAG file, you’re good.

sonicrules · · #97468

I have no problem using nsfminer

Banished_Privateer · · #97469

nsfminer also gets overclocking issue in Windows

Banished_Privateer · · #97470

It’s pretty much the same with it, ethminer and Phoenix.

sonicrules · · #97471

Oh, I use linux :P

Banished_Privateer · · #97472

Yea, Linux has it somewhat flawless.

sonicrules · · #97473

Doesn’t gminer have options for that stuff?

Banished_Privateer · · #97474

I don’t use gminer, I simply overclock (usually I don’t) after DAG file.

dhandler01 · · #97475

Problem is I am back to stock and it still is doing that. I just wasted 2 hours and got 270 errors while I was not at my comp. I mean I don’t make much doing this so it isn’t THAT big of a deal but ETH is becoming almost unprofitable and sadly everything else is worse. I am not going to buy an ASIC or antminer type deal I can’t afford the cost or the electrical costs. Maybe Awesome Miner is part of the problem as well but I don’t know how to do anything besides stuff like this. I am just not technologically savvy

dhandler01 · · #97476

T-Rex still seems fine though so at least I can run that...

Has anyone had any issues in the past 12 hours? I 260 MH/s ethhash and 20 MH/s etchash running overnight and I only wooke up to $0.80 this morning. It’s normally much more than that and my miner plots are showing that I had a consistent hash.

sandybags3 · · #97480

Missed a few words there. Still early for me. :) ... But just checking, the charts show I had 260MH/s since midnight, but there has not been any ETH payout since 12:35 AM. Is there something wrong with the pool?

dhandler01 · · #97481

seems to be working for me on Awesome miner though the price of ETH is crap right now

dhandler01 · · #97482

well to be fair the price of everything is crap the crypto market is bleeding money

payouts are guaranateed to occur at some point in the 24 hours after they become eligible, so the lack of a payout at 12:35 is not out of the promised service window

Steve Sokolowski · · #97484

feel free to submit a support ticket if more than 24 hours elapses

Yeah I’m about to just shut my down for awhile. I’m getting to that point where power costs are negligibly less than what I’m getting.

dhandler01 · · #97486

The news about what Ethereum is about to do to the ETH miners means some of us better find something similarly profitable you can run with a PC. I am not sure why Ethereum wants to tank their price but it is in freefall and the major pools are revolting

mustex · · #97488

Same here, for now. I’ll watch things, but I’m just mining while my computer is idling in between gaming sessions. I’m still expecting, like most markets, that Crypto will edge higher over time. I’m still thinking of it more as a long-term investment than a get-rich-quick scheme. But who really knows; the markets are fickle. :|

dhandler01 · · #97489

Well it is not a get rich quick scheme but the market is super volatile and when the second biggest player (ETH) basically ticks off half of its hash rate with a half baked idea and with BTC basically fluctuating between 32 and 37k day to day things are very dangerous. Long term the only way crypto sticks around is if it finds a baseline and sticks to it. Crypto isnt the stock market such wild swings as we are seeing is way more problematic

dhandler01 · · #97490

I am not stopping mind you but I am way more skeptical about mining today than I was a week ago I think it is the beginning of the beginning of the end of it being something you can do without high end equipment (i.e. not a PC)

afkluckky · · #97491

Banished_Privateer wrote: It’s not just Phoenix but most miners, it depends on how they generate DAG file. If you overclock AFTER generating DAG file, you’re good.
exactly i forgot to mention i always dag before enabling OC

afkluckky · · #97492

ETC will likely take the place of Eth for miners being a POW with smart contracts from what I understand. POS being less secure then POW should mean it would stick around.

dhandler01 · · #97493

Only if it stays profitable

afkluckky · · #97494

As long as greyscale keeps their stake it should hold up, I was surprised to find out it was their 3rd largest holding.

ProSeriesNewb · · #97496

Is ethhash still the most profitable to run for GPU mining? The payouts have dropped recently.

ProSeriesNewb wrote: Is ethhash still the most profitable to run for GPU mining? The payouts have dropped recently.
keep checking the algo status on the site ETC keeps nudging it out barely

dhandler01 · · #97499

Yeah they are roughly the same at this point. ETH has really crapped the bed

dhandler01 · · #97500

I just did a comparison and ETC is about $.20 a day higher. Doesnt sound like much but considering both are under $3 a day right now it kind of is

Alynn · · #97501

dhandler01 wrote: I just did a comparison and ETC is about $.20 a day higher. Doesnt sound like much but considering both are under $3 a day right now it kind of is
I just switched to Equihash 144,5. I get about 200 sols with my gear so that is 1 dollar more a day than what I’m getting with eth.

dhandler01 · · #97502

I looked at that and it was about the same as ETC and ETH (on Awesome Miner) and seemed to run my GPU super hot. ETC was the "most" profitable but yikes these numbers are low. I saw this coming which is why I was shifting to Chia but that is almost unworkable nowwe have over a hundred plots and it still says we are "expected" to win in 2 years. I wish I was more tech savvy I would try something besides Awesome to mine. I just don’t get how to do command line work. If there is another mining software like that the allows for prohashing (I cpu mine on Easyminer with prohash) I would try that

follow the gpu guide on prohashing for gminer. Command line issue could be antivirus or other windows issues like smart screen and real time protection
