psylocyber wrote: yeah, our rates are too hard to explain. You get real cheap electrricity for the first 400kw then another rate for the next 400kw or so but anything over that just went to $.149. I just changed my rate schedule tho to a timed one. I have to pay .18 during peak hours (60 hrs/week) but only pay .06 during off peak (108 hrs/wk).
OUCH

Are you guys sure about the helium tho? They are already kind of like staking, not real mining but being part of the network. There miners are actually lowfi gateway devices.

Yeah, I just bought some timers.

I’m very excited about $.06 ’tho. I think I averaged it out, if I ran 24/7 like normal that new rate would average out to .09

Exactly I ordered some at the beginning of the month to have that bomb of the switch dropped on me.

psylocyber · · #97644

I don’t know I need to do more research but it sounds like they will be using the miners with the validators. The miners are still providing the connectivity (I think) https://www.helium.com/mine

What kind did you get? Maybe I’ll take it off your hands.

I gotta do some more reading myself the verbiage is a little confusing with the hotspots going forward.

doing good here. had a server reset almost 16 hrs ago that was not even noticeable except on the timers.

ElectricEnigma · · #97649

hopefully the new server swap goes smooth and everything should be ironed out after that...

Lahormiga11 · · #97650

i do have connection issues two time today

dhandler01 · · #97651

those helium hotspots are a bit of an investment

dhandler01 · · #97652

those of you that run XMR Rig on your comp are you actually making anything off it? I was running it getting tons of shares but was getting pennies overall. (my CPU aint great) but the payout was

nodus · · #97653

all my miners lost connection. what about you guys?

-MaVerick- · · #97654

Monero mining in general is not profitable unless you’re not the one that pays the electric bill. I have two CPUs doing a combined 10-11kH/s and even when the prices are good I’m lucky to break $0.50 a day.

-MaVerick- · · #97656

and back into the mines we go

nodus · · #97657

still json errors on t-rex

I think the value column for transactions of the prohashing explorer is not correct for Doge. Is that a known thing?

Yes...a quick comment. I think the USD value it uses for the transaction is the current USD value and not the USD value at the time of the transaction.
