Good to know - I can track my daily revenue from the payout data and when it sells down to $$, I’ll know my capital gains on that transaction. Easy enough.

I can’t get the hang of this chat - apologies - the accountant (UK) has suggested forwarding any HODLs to a personal wallet so that the business is not responsible for capital gains, only personal CGs. Hope that that is useful.

@Foxx - great info... For those without a US bank account, you have to take the coin - coinbase won’t sell and hold your earnings as US$ in your account. Pity...

Anybody having problem with ripple payouts?
ajs · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:13 PM UTC · #87435
Got a ripple payout last night. Works fine. Destination Tag is not optional.

Also coins now are down so prohash is putting other coins on current market rate or old?
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:24 PM UTC · #87440
You get the weight you mined, not the $ amount
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:24 PM UTC · #87441
The value will fluctuate with the market price....
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:26 PM UTC · #87442
And then you hope for a TEACOIN situation, where the next lowest coin is worth 30.965 profit and TEACOIN is worth 1,340.021
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:26 PM UTC · #87443
and it stays like that for a few minutes, and from 2 minutes of mining, you make more than the rest of the autopool does in the whole day.

Does drinking tea count?
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:27 PM UTC · #87445

Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong. Working in a location where I can’t monitor the miners - catch up very late tonight or very early tomorrow..

I shut down 3 weeks or so ago. Wasnt profitiable for me anymore
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:30 PM UTC · #87454
I am considering the same... Tried solo mining but was not hitting blocks
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:31 PM UTC · #87455
My concern is that for Scrypt, difficulty is one way. When you flip them back on, they will earn even less
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:31 PM UTC · #87456
i'd not solo. static mine sure thats where the profits where when the live coins were live and not delayed
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:31 PM UTC · #87457
all difficulty is one way
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:32 PM UTC · #87458
you think bitcoin miners earn more today than they did last year?
minerproo · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:32 PM UTC · #87459
@csziggy you do not mine anymore?
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:32 PM UTC · #87460
some cryptonights aren’t... yet.
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:32 PM UTC · #87461
no, turned my rigs all off. Wasn't earning enough coins via electric. I can buy coins for less $ now
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:33 PM UTC · #87462
but no, I don’t expect the SHA-256 to be earning the same.. That is why I’m keen to switch on the ASIC BOOST
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:33 PM UTC · #87463
do cryptonights have ascis yet?

when the A3 released it was making mad money...for a month
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:35 PM UTC · #87471
you can buy an A3 for about £120
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:35 PM UTC · #87472
The X3 is still at $1600 plus
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:36 PM UTC · #87474
A3 wasnt worth the cost about 1 month after they were released
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:36 PM UTC · #87475
yep and I doubt the X3 makes profit after the 1st month
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:36 PM UTC · #87476
understand, I felt that way by the time the X3 arrived - most coins have flipped over to v7
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:36 PM UTC · #87477
when a new ASIC hits an algo that didnt have one before, 1 month is about all it takes.
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:37 PM UTC · #87478
So my plan is to target new coins... those two pools have a shed load of X3’s attached. EH’s top 10 account for 50% of the hashrate of the pool
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:37 PM UTC · #87479

you saying prohash is not profitable anymore?
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:38 PM UTC · #87483
I’ve dropped 1/2 since I started
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:38 PM UTC · #87484
not for me, I must pay too much for electricity
minerproo · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:39 PM UTC · #87485
what about buying from nicehash?
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:39 PM UTC · #87486
Prohash is better than elsewhere in my opinion. I won’t turn off yet as I’m holding for long term..
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:40 PM UTC · #87487
by the time the price rises, the difficulty will be so high, the weight per day will be eroded
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:40 PM UTC · #87488
.025 a day coin payout X 30 days = .75 litecoins. even at $100 a coin, thats only $75 a month. I pay more than that in electricity, so not profitable for me.
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:41 PM UTC · #87489
Figure out what you can afford to lose. Work from there across multiple scenarios...
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:41 PM UTC · #87490
understand. If the value at end of year doubles, would that cover the electricity
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:41 PM UTC · #87491
I could buy a full coin and save money, so why would I still mine
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:42 PM UTC · #87492
yep, if it doubles. But wouldnt I buy a coin and have 25% more in double?
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:43 PM UTC · #87493
true. Many are selling off their miners now rather than wait. I have no spare cash right now.
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:43 PM UTC · #87495
some people take coins. but with the prices down, may cost more than its worth.
CSZiggy · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:44 PM UTC · #87496
it all depends on your situation. if you have lower costs to operate or free electrticty, its all free money.
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 02:44 PM UTC · #87497
have to dash to work.. have fun out there - the sky is bright blue here in Edinburgh
Foxx · Fri Jun 22, 2018 05:39 PM UTC · #87500
i think everyone should turn there miners off (except me of course)
lets get that Difficulty to drop dramatically.

How is solo mining on the scrypt algo in this pool?
Lestat9 · Fri Jun 22, 2018 09:00 PM UTC · #87502
Anyone know how to get ASICboost working for the s7?
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 10:24 PM UTC · #87503
@lestat9 I have been asking for over a month....
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 10:25 PM UTC · #87504
@foxx Difficulty is one way
alim · Fri Jun 22, 2018 10:28 PM UTC · #87505
@jeffms2003 - I’ve tried solo mining from time to time. I came to the conclusion that you need to do the math. I thought between 4 miners I might bet a Digibyte block every other day at least - I’m extremely unlucky.
CSZiggy · Sat Jun 23, 2018 05:10 AM UTC · #87506
Nice scrypt average prices today. Turned my machines off at .70 cents per MH. At 1.0 per MH may have to turn mine back on.
DeterMINEd · Sat Jun 23, 2018 10:57 AM UTC · #87507
AsicBoost is only incorporated in Halong Dragonmint's miners as far as I know. There are no Bitmain AsicBoost miners yet.
jeffms2003 · Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:44 PM UTC · #87508
Pretty sure that 1.0 cents per MH is incorrect.
jeffms2003 · Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:46 PM UTC · #87509
I’m at about .36 cents per MH so if ASICBoost is boosting others at my expense, I’m out of here. Pretty sure that isn’t the way it works, though.
jeffms2003 · Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:48 PM UTC · #87510
Actually I can’t tell. Normally the profits in this pool run ahead of the calculations on Crypto Compare, but they are now behind in terms of profitability. I’d like to hear the perspective of the folks that run this pool.
jeffms2003 · Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:55 PM UTC · #87511
My per MH rate has decreased by 30% in the last 3 days, which is way off actual market condition changes.

Difficulty has gone down, the market prices have dropped about 15% (last couple of days) and Prohashing scrypt payout per MH has gone down 30%. Doesn’t make sense.
jeffms2003 · Sat Jun 23, 2018 02:04 PM UTC · #87518

jeffms2003 · Sat Jun 23, 2018 02:17 PM UTC · #87525
profits are slim right now...based on the calculator at litecoinpool.org they are doing better than prohashing right now, but you only get LTC. So if that is what you are after, you’re good.
minerproo · Sat Jun 23, 2018 02:18 PM UTC · #87527
