Another solution of course - is that the difficulty is variable per region to normalize the cost for production... Asia gets a higher difficulty then say US...

Hobo01 · · #82716

Or only a certain number of coins can be discovered by region by day. This is probably a good solution also.

CSZiggy · · #82717

OR...the pool can continue to run as it has for years now without an issue.

CSZiggy · · #82718

why trying to limit stuff? thats why we want the decentralized medium right? no limits, no one telling us how much or how many?

Hobo01 · · #82719

If you feel that way - it’s fine. I don’t mean to cause waves. I just have more experience at other mines that pay double or triple per 10THs

CSZiggy · · #82720

thats for sha

Hobo01 · · #82721

No Difficulty level is set to purposely limit the number that can be discovered.

CSZiggy · · #82722

sha is still new here, not a lot of people are doing it

Hobo01 · · #82723

As the miners discover more blocks that is predicted for the 10 minute interval, the difficulty is raised to counter the over production.

Hobo01 · · #82724

Which in turn raises the cost to produce.

CSZiggy · · #82725

until the block is found

CSZiggy · · #82726

then it resets, like every other pps pool ive ever been on

Hobo01 · · #82727

Yea. 14.571 PH is a good amount to solo with it. It should be producing 1 BTC block or 12.5BTC a month.

CSZiggy · · #82728

i dont see the sha taking off until after the internet changeover and the doubling of servers

CSZiggy · · #82729

which should kill some stale shares

CritterDog · · #82730

YES Had to disconnect to back up pool again!

CSZiggy · · #82731

and raise effic i hope

Hobo01 · · #82732

I am working on a method to increase the accuracy of the nonce guess. I have my CPU solving old hashes in 2s to 25mins. Applied that to a miner I should be solving the old ones in less then 1 min on a 1THs.

CSZiggy · · #82733

but you dont get paid for solving old ones right? only new work assigned

Hobo01 · · #82734

I will release the technology at a cost, free to use, but I will receive 1% of the found blocks.

Hobo01 · · #82735

No. I’m a developer, so I am using them as test cases.

CSZiggy · · #82736

well good luck with that.

Hobo01 · · #82737

Yup. Should be ready in 3 months, production quality - right now it’s a little shotty...

Hobo01 · · #82738

I had to contact C.Kolivas but he won’t let me branch cgminer, so I am custom creating my own.

CSZiggy · · #82739

wonder if ill still be running a machine in 3 more months

Hobo01 · · #82740

You will be, if your smart - you have to be using at least 10Ths machines right now. OR it’s a lost cause.

CSZiggy · · #82741

not mining sha

Hobo01 · · #82742

Are you SHA256 or Scrypt or X11?

CSZiggy · · #82743

scypt

Hobo01 · · #82744

Well there is a trick to it. If you can afford the start up capital - get a 48v battery deep cycle. 10 150w (minimum) solar panels, a charge controller, and an inverter 3000w (for expanding)

Hobo01 · · #82745

Or, use gas generator (not gasoline, propane).

Hobo01 · · #82746

Propane is cheap, and it will do better overall until you can afford the panels.

CSZiggy · · #82747

too much for me

Hobo01 · · #82748

Hobo01 · · #82749

Hobo01 · · #82750

What type of miner do you have?

Lestat9 · · #82751

is there a list of all the coins you can mine?

Hobo01 · · #82752

Lestat9 · · #82753

thats a great idea..to use a generator

Hobo01 · · #82754

Hobo01 · · #82755

haha

Hobo01 · · #82756

Actually, no generators cost too much in fuel like 20 gallons a day - unless you have good price on natural gas, then maybe...

Lestat9 · · #82757

I message nitcoin miner he helped me setup my s7

Lestat9 · · #82758

as far as coins.. I mean like a list of sha-256 coins i can get off this pool?

Forum notification · · #82759

citronick · · #82760

@steve - anybody attempted bitcoin solo mining yet?

Lestat9 · · #82761

in my payout i have bitcoin and bitcoincash..Im mining cash but only my bitcoin amount is increasing...maybe takes time to show up?

mycide · · #82762

lately litecoinpool.org is paying out far more then PH is, when PH is working at its peak its better, but it so rarely do.

mycide · · #82763

i hope and wish it will change and stay good.

mycide · · #82764

what’s ppls efficiency levels today?

zafar177 · · #82765

Are miners with significant levels of hash power able to manipulate the payout algorithm adopted by PH? If so is this the reason why PH isnot optimal?

Steve Sokolowski · · #82766

mycide wrote: lately litecoinpool.org is paying out far more then PH is, when PH is working at its peak its better, but it so rarely do.
again, you say this every day, but I think it’s an issue with your connection

Steve Sokolowski · · #82767

I hope that you submit a support ticket so that we can help you with it, instead of just complaining here

jaroparo · · #82768

hi steve i do not understand what does mean, can you explain? : Your account has been detected to have abnormally low luck for X11 mining. Payouts have been halted until your luck improves. All balances will be paid when your luck returns to normal.

jaroparo · · #82769

i am rented hash for x11, i dont know how luck i have.

You were in the bottom miners in terms of luck

Steve Sokolowski · · #82772

just mine for another day and you’ll be paid for both yesterday and today

jaroparo · · #82773

ok thank you for answer

Steve Sokolowski · · #82774

jaroparo wrote: ok thank you for answer
there’s a description in the "status" post I made today - you were just incredibly unlucky and about one customer per day will be accidentally identified - and we apologize for that

Steve Sokolowski · · #82775

but that’s why we simply wait until the next day and still pay out for the low luck period once luck improves, which is almost certain to happen

olkah · · #82776

Steve Sokolowski no payment

mycide · · #82781

@Steve Sokolowski why would there be an issue with my connection? And why would that issue only appear on your pool?

mycide · · #82782

and it seems i am not the only one several others are raising their voices here with similar issues.

Steve Sokolowski · · #82783

mycide wrote: and it seems i am not the only one several others are raising their voices here with similar issues.
The average pool efficiency is 97.3%; I think there is a problem with your connection that is causing your issues. Again, please submit a support ticket and we'll be glad to troubleshoot it.

Steve Sokolowski · · #82784

graelb wrote: Any idea why I’d have bitcoin gold in my account at PH, but I’ve never set up my account to PAY in BTCG?
There was a fork, so anyone who was owed bitcoin at the time of the fork earned free bitcoin gold

mycide · · #82785

okey, to give me a clue how would you go about solving this problem, if the problem is on my end but only effect PH, not other pools.

mycide · · #82786

average pool efficinecy of 97+ i find acceptable, i wouldnt have any complaints if it stayed there but when one day is up and down from the other and i have done nothing to change my connection or even fiddled with the rigs for days or weeks.

mycide · · #82787

i dont see this on other pools its runs smoth all the time, stales i never seen untill i came here.

4guanzon · · #82788

If I am mining lite coin in prohashing, the coinbase wallet should be litecoin wallet/address not bitcoin wallet. Is that correct?

mycide · · #82789

yes

mycide · · #82790

u cant send ltc to btc adress

mycide · · #82791

if u somehow manage it will be very hard to get it out, its doable i heard.

mycide · · #82792

as long as u controll both private keys

zafar177 · · #82793

Website is very responsive, has there been updates?

mycide · · #82794

they optimised the homepage last week or something like that. loads much faster.

mycide · · #82795

can follow the news flow in the forum from Steve

mycide · · #82796

zafar177 may i ask what ur efficiency are at?

zafar177 · · #82797

@mycide thanks :D

zafar177 · · #82798

Currently 99.01%

zafar177 · · #82799

Are you having miner issues?

mycide · · #82801

yup my efficiency seem to want to go from 99% to 75% a bit on random

mycide · · #82802

the days it’s at 75% basically lost 25% of my hashrate, i dont experience this on the other pools im using, same with stales, here one week all seem good, or one day to another, it all flips, in the long run it averages out to be a bad deal for me.

mycide · · #82803

zafar177 how long have you been hashing on PH, and has ur efficiency been stable at a high number like 97+%

spauk · · #82804

i think the efficiency meter thing is less accurate than looking at statistics in the miner, it just grabs a sample like 1 in 10 shares and shows that result for a period of time

spauk · · #82805

lowest i’ve seen it recently is like 85% but the rest of the time it pops back up to 100%

mycide · · #82806

Spauk well looking in my miner ui it got plenty stales, and the hashrate projected on PH makes me miss out 10-25% of my potential profit everyday. as soon as i went over to static ltc mining all stales gone, and profit up between 10-25% depending on what day on PH i compare

mycide · · #82807

im glad for all of you that managed to keep ur efficiency at close to 100%

4guanzon · · #82808

what about the scrpt on

4guanzon · · #82809

what about the script on "found block" how do we get paid for that? are we going to set up a different wallet for it?

NiceJobPoopin · · #82810
