I sold my whole mining farm interest to a foreign investor
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:14 PM UTC · #77767
I thought you pulled before I even got here in December
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:14 PM UTC · #77768
when they announced the 1099s back in december yep
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:15 PM UTC · #77769
so now by foreign buddy mines in his name, hes not from the US so he doesnt pay taxes
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:15 PM UTC · #77770
his country doesnt charge capital gains or income tax on crypto earnings
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:15 PM UTC · #77771
so he will be running the mining farm on my behalf and paying me a yearly salary of 98% of all the coins earned per year that we sell.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:16 PM UTC · #77772
he gets to keep the 2% for his trouble
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:16 PM UTC · #77773
Nice move as long as your miners are not located in US either, otherwise you may need to close that loophope
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:16 PM UTC · #77774
and I just write down my yearly salary at the end of the year, and pay income tax on it and F the rest.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:16 PM UTC · #77776
thats not what the 1099s ask
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:17 PM UTC · #77777
not if they are located in the US if YOU are us
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:17 PM UTC · #77778
I do not want to open your worm can, but thats for sharing.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:17 PM UTC · #77779
my foreign buddy is not a US citizen, so he wrote in NO
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:19 PM UTC · #77781
As long as you that money never crosses back into the US you should be set. just opinions of course
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:19 PM UTC · #77782
he's paying me from his US company to run his mining service
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:20 PM UTC · #77783
the coins are sent overseas, sold and if he uses that to reimburse himself 98% thats his business not mine 8)
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:20 PM UTC · #77784
i just get to sit back and collect a 98% whatever coins we mine salary from his company
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:21 PM UTC · #77785
which I will gladly pay income taxes on, at the END of the year
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:21 PM UTC · #77786
not quartly on each coin I mined the past 3 months
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:21 PM UTC · #77787
and then capitals on top and then income on top of the capitals
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:22 PM UTC · #77788
but he does keep the D3s on here still
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:23 PM UTC · #77789
and those payout in LTC daily so I can still see stats and if some payments are moving on here even on his account
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:23 PM UTC · #77790
okay so you get salary from US company. ... ahha I see still pay just not quarterly. no it starts to make sense. If you make enough they will still have you prepay tax owed quarterly but until then it seems a viable answer.
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:25 PM UTC · #77792
All that aside, I just want to be rembursed the $50 bucks I got scammed for here at PH. Not too much to ask.
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:26 PM UTC · #77793
It almost seems like a hazzing thing where all the new customers here get taken for a few bucks as an induction to use the service
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:27 PM UTC · #77795
too many folks came here from nicehash
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:27 PM UTC · #77796
Just going by the other customers seem to start LTC payout threads etc
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:27 PM UTC · #77797
and were so used to BTC they just assumed thats what they should go for
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:28 PM UTC · #77798
and didnt read, didnt understand fees, thresholds, minimum payouts
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:28 PM UTC · #77799
and then wanted a payout, set the threshold, lost $35 on the fees and were like how did i lose $35
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:28 PM UTC · #77800
I show all LTC payouts for my guys acocunt working for each of the past 10 days
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:29 PM UTC · #77801
so not sure what wallets these other people are using, they dont specify
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:29 PM UTC · #77802
I mined $54 US dollars to be paid to coinbase. There is zero dollars in my coinbase. Yet about $50 from US dollars payout is missing.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:29 PM UTC · #77803
if 4 of them posted hey my cyptex wallet hasnt gotten a LTC payout in 4 days...the maybe its cyptex, but Hey is ltc messed up?
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:30 PM UTC · #77804
nope, I show its working...next.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:30 PM UTC · #77805
so you only have $4 left in the balance?
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:31 PM UTC · #77806
My ticket would be closed if it was rectified. The ticket is open. No $50. Just BS
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:31 PM UTC · #77807
did they mess up the sending and end up paying a $50 fee to send the 4$ out?
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:31 PM UTC · #77808
and when was the last time it was updated?
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:31 PM UTC · #77809
but you are getting updates on it right
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:31 PM UTC · #77810
not that no emails were going through
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:31 PM UTC · #77812
I do not know. I pay 5% to them not to have to know. Just look at the ledger and see $50 gone.
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:32 PM UTC · #77815
Several days later.... still now payout. I sent a ticket yesterday .... still waiting on the response. I don’t understand why I need to tell them to pay me. Surely their system knows I should have been paid.
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:32 PM UTC · #77816
last word from them was december 28th
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:33 PM UTC · #77817
While I wait three days to get paid... the value drops 50% ..... not cool PH.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:33 PM UTC · #77818
@3Moose : well obviously not, if its been over 24 hours, then put in a ticket and let them know you would like to be paid I guess.
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:34 PM UTC · #77819
I did. I give people 24 hours to let the system catch up. But... here I sit... losing 50% of my earnings for the day.... waiting for response.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:34 PM UTC · #77820
man if it was me I might look for another pool then
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:34 PM UTC · #77821
That’s what I get for trying to be patient. A 50% loss.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:34 PM UTC · #77822
you seem to have that happen to you a lot
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:35 PM UTC · #77823
Not around money. I get paid... its usually around something else.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:36 PM UTC · #77824
travelinmusic wrote: last word from them was december 28th what did they say, they were looking into it or ?
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:36 PM UTC · #77825
Old saying .... "when you are too cheap, you often pay twice." If they had paid the $50 back in december then they would have made $100+ off the many miners I moved to litecoinpool. And all the folks reading my complaints here would not be moving their miners away too.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:37 PM UTC · #77826
workered jumped from 12K to 18-19K I think they all came back after a few days.
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:37 PM UTC · #77827
Steve Sokolowski28/Dec/17 8:34 AM Hi .........., OK, thanks. Unfortunately, this now appears to be a very complex issue that needs to be investigated and addressed by Chris. I’ll assign the task to him, as he is an expert in this payout code and will be able to find out more. We’ll make sure you get paid for the missing money as soon as possible. I apologize for the problem, and thanks for bringing it to our attention! -Steve Sokolowski
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:37 PM UTC · #77828
so what was the last word from support back on the 28th?
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:38 PM UTC · #77829
I try to remember they are a small business.
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:38 PM UTC · #77830
but when they don’t pay me... its costs me money.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:38 PM UTC · #77831
@travelinmusic : I would put this back into the ticket system as a new ticket, and refernece the old ticket #
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:38 PM UTC · #77832
And I have to pay taxes on lost income (potentially) depending on which CPA I believe.
travelinmusic · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:38 PM UTC · #77833
I simplified it for them with screenshots since.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:39 PM UTC · #77834
that way constance will get a fresh look at it and look up the info and maybe start in on it fresh and find you some info or your money back. Since the tickets were turned over to her, maybe she didnt get the old ones
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:39 PM UTC · #77835
on the old ticket or on a new one?
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:40 PM UTC · #77836
3Moose wrote: And I have to pay taxes on lost income (potentially) depending on which CPA I believe. you cant pay on lost income
burek99_ · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:40 PM UTC · #77837
whats going on in cryptomatket, everything is storming down??
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:41 PM UTC · #77840
3moose I didnt work for you for 100000 hours this year. I lost 1,000,000 not working for you. Who do I see about paying taxes on that lost income me or you?
burek99_ · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:41 PM UTC · #77841
just looked at coinbase after a few days and im shocked
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:41 PM UTC · #77842
AppleMiner wrote: 3Moose wrote: And I have to pay taxes on lost income (potentially) depending on which CPA I believe. you cant pay on lost income Some argue to pay when you mine. therefore, when I mined the coin three days ago, that was a taxable income event.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:42 PM UTC · #77843
NOT UNTIL YOU GET THE COINS IN A WALLET YOU CONTROLL
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:42 PM UTC · #77844
if they are on the pool, you havent gotten them yet
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:42 PM UTC · #77845
only once they hit your wallet.
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:42 PM UTC · #77846

AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:42 PM UTC · #77847
technically, if you find a pool that doesnt require payouts
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:42 PM UTC · #77849
AppleMiner wrote: NOT UNTIL YOU GET THE COINS IN A WALLET YOU CONTROLL That is my position. Not every CPA agrees.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:42 PM UTC · #77850
they can gold your coins for years or until you request a payout
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:43 PM UTC · #77852
so until those coins go from their pool into your wallet, you havent received anything to be taxed on yet.
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:43 PM UTC · #77853
AppleMiner wrote: they can gold your coins for years or until you request a payout No, no CPA would agree that holding it a wallet where YOU decide not to get paid in a non taxable event.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:43 PM UTC · #77854
so once they pay you out, then you owe the tax on whatever that is, 50% down from 2 days ago or whatever
deepenough · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:43 PM UTC · #77855
i have a question about solo mine argument.
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:44 PM UTC · #77858
think we might have answered a post you made a bit ago
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:44 PM UTC · #77859
In this case I would argue that since I do not control the payout, it was not earned.
deepenough · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:44 PM UTC · #77861
i have a newer question Sir
AppleMiner · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:45 PM UTC · #77862
you never got it, so you havent 'earned it' until you do and arent tax liable until you do
3Moose · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:45 PM UTC · #77863
However, some argue that it was earned, and what i have in a business expense offset. (potentially)
deepenough · Tue Jan 16, 2018 08:45 PM UTC · #77864
if i set it to solo mode for say DASH, but want payout in ETH, is that doable?
