GCNZ · Thu Jan 11, 2018 12:40 AM UTC · #75954

GCNZ · Thu Jan 11, 2018 12:40 AM UTC · #75955

@AppleMiner : </strong> Quick question: Is there a pattern to when Bitmain puts a batch of machines on sale? first of month, middle, etc?
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:37 AM UTC · #75962
@VicBradley : not that i can tell
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:37 AM UTC · #75963
seems like when the price of BCH drops they go on sell
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:38 AM UTC · #75964
and after it rises up from people buying it, they sell out for a while...strange huh?
3Moose · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:41 AM UTC · #75965
Going on 48 hours without a Verge block..... that has to be on the upper end of statisical bad luck.
VicBradley · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:43 AM UTC · #75967
Anybody know of a good youtube video that explains just what a mining machine does online? step by step, what it looks for, what it does, etc.?
VicBradley · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:57 AM UTC · #75969
not that really explains what the thing does online. you know, what it looks for once connected to a pool etc.
gemohler · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:58 AM UTC · #75970
it looks the same. Doesnt even change color.
gemohler · Thu Jan 11, 2018 01:59 AM UTC · #75971
alive/dead might be tells if a pool connection in working or not...

Hi I have just just started. I am running sgminer.exe with the correct URL and my username. It’s been an hour, but the system still doesn’t see me yet. Is that normal?
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 05:39 AM UTC · #75977

most of the markets fluxed some today
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:52 AM UTC · #76011
what i saw with one 6gb 1060 was almost 20 mh/s
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:53 AM UTC · #76013
but it was up a bit higher than it should have been
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:53 AM UTC · #76014
yea but it broke 1100 for the first time yesterday
greaseman316 · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:53 AM UTC · #76015
ya id rather just mine coins and wait for a pump lolololo
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:53 AM UTC · #76016
@FastCashMining : how much does the 3GB one do? is it worth the extra memory and price if it hashes the same?
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:53 AM UTC · #76017
cant get the 6gb for anything under 350 on newegg
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:54 AM UTC · #76018
they are sold out or overpriced, and ive learned my lesson on overprice
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:54 AM UTC · #76020
did you compare the 3GB to the 6GB versions?
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:54 AM UTC · #76021
what are the hash differences?
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:55 AM UTC · #76022
the problem im gonna have with mining all these shit coins @greaseman316 : is trying to get wallets for all of them, probably should get a larger than normal ssd
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:55 AM UTC · #76023
maybe save $50 a card for less memory if the hashes arent affected
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:55 AM UTC · #76025
10/15 on the 3 gb to 18/22 on the 6 gb i think
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:55 AM UTC · #76026
thats only if he plans to store them offline or on his PC
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:55 AM UTC · #76027
if hes moving them to an exchange to trade or sell it wont matter
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:55 AM UTC · #76028
if he only mines ether then its even easier
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:56 AM UTC · #76029
and how much power draw on each of those?
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:56 AM UTC · #76030
how many power supplies you gonna need to run them?
greaseman316 · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:56 AM UTC · #76031
dam apple you know me already lololol
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:56 AM UTC · #76032
grease has me thinking of the prebuilt refurbs too
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:57 AM UTC · #76033
how many amps will that pull from the wall, do you have 2 sockets on 2 circuts in the house to feed that many watts 24-7 and not blow a breaker, kick the fuse, or burn up the walls?
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:57 AM UTC · #76034
but then you gotta change power supplys and rig the power chords
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:57 AM UTC · #76037
i have both doors shut to bedroom and cant hear the d3 downstairs
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:58 AM UTC · #76041
nah it wouldnt be nearly 20amp, id guess about 10
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:58 AM UTC · #76042
Sven couldnt run very much more at my data center if he paid me to
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:58 AM UTC · #76045
i thhink i ran through 1000 gigs last month
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:58 AM UTC · #76046
every 800 watts gonna be 7 ams?
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:58 AM UTC · #76047
but i was doing some hoorat stuff
kake · Thu Jan 11, 2018 06:59 AM UTC · #76048
