AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:20 AM UTC · #76166
doesnt the firmware have a shutoff you can checkbox at 80?
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:21 AM UTC · #76169

AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:21 AM UTC · #76172

greaseman316 · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:22 AM UTC · #76173

AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:22 AM UTC · #76174

AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:22 AM UTC · #76176
thats what the titans are for
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:23 AM UTC · #76177
ok been at this project of coding for a day now
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:23 AM UTC · #76178
finally have soemthing that runs, the logic is bass ackwards ill have to fix that in a bit
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:23 AM UTC · #76179
its doing the check then getting the data then doing the next check
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:23 AM UTC · #76181
it needs to do that other way around, data, check, data
greaseman316 · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:26 AM UTC · #76182
this just in S. Korea is raiding crptyo exchanges for tax evasion
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:27 AM UTC · #76188
market crash until they all go undergroound?
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:27 AM UTC · #76189
or spike of coins from less people mining?
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:28 AM UTC · #76190
hard to tell until it happens
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:28 AM UTC · #76192
some 20% across the markets
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:28 AM UTC · #76194
and then a recovery the next day like it never happened
greaseman316 · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:29 AM UTC · #76196
they just make it harder for them to ge access to their money without taxes
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:29 AM UTC · #76197
i was under the impression that mining a currency and selling that currency would require me to pay the federal government a cap gain tax
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:30 AM UTC · #76198
but upon further investigation the actual mining of the currency doesnt require you to do that, only buying and selling currency/property/stocks requires a cap gain tax
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:31 AM UTC · #76200
eventually you have to sell it
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:31 AM UTC · #76202
but the actual creation of the currency or mining is part of your or whomevers business
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:31 AM UTC · #76203
and then you are paying captial gains on it
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:31 AM UTC · #76204
sure but if you sell it thats like mcdonalds selling a burger
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:31 AM UTC · #76208
no because a burger isnt considered a capital gains
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:31 AM UTC · #76209
stocks, bonds, and crypto are
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:32 AM UTC · #76210
if you bought the burger, held it, then sold it for more or less then youd be responsible for a cap gain
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:32 AM UTC · #76211
crypto isnt if you mine it as im understanding it, if you are trading it you are
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:32 AM UTC · #76212
and also need to claim that capital gains on your income taxes as personal income
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:32 AM UTC · #76213
that also needs to be taxed again.
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:32 AM UTC · #76218
thats what the 1099s are for
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:33 AM UTC · #76221
you dont have to pay the tax until you REALIZE the gain
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:33 AM UTC · #76222
prohashing is telling uncle sam, you earned 1000 litecoins
greaseman316 · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:33 AM UTC · #76223
thats why i dont mine here anymore
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:33 AM UTC · #76224
the gain isnt realized until you sell, i know that
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:33 AM UTC · #76225
each time you got paid, you owe taxes on it AT THE TIME OF CREATION
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:33 AM UTC · #76226
thats fine and uncle sam can look and see i didnt
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:34 AM UTC · #76227
well now that may be true, prohash is paying you in currency
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:34 AM UTC · #76229
as soon as it hits a wallet, you control, you owe taxes for money gained at a fair market value of those assets.
greaseman316 · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:34 AM UTC · #76230
see thats the issue with PH they are paying you for your services like a contractor
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:34 AM UTC · #76232
then when you sell, or not, the IRS dont care
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:34 AM UTC · #76233
you subtract what you paid when they were made, from what you owe when you sell.
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:34 AM UTC · #76234
but they would care if you have REALIZED the gain yet
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:35 AM UTC · #76235
if you never sell, you never get to subtract what was already paid out.
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:35 AM UTC · #76237
and even if you dont they have you
FastCashMining · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:35 AM UTC · #76238
you can also deduct your machines and power and what not
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:35 AM UTC · #76239
thats why when 1099s go out they know how much you mined, and now can tax you on that
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:35 AM UTC · #76241
if you never get a 1099, then the irs has no clue how many coins you mined
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:35 AM UTC · #76242
and its up to you to tell them
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:36 AM UTC · #76245
but if they know you made 1000 coins, and they are worth 100 each....someone owes taxes on 100K income
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:37 AM UTC · #76248
and if you later sell them for 200 each....you ow captial gains on (200 X 1000) - tax you poaid when they were made at $100
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:37 AM UTC · #76251
crypto is actually property
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:37 AM UTC · #76252
so it gets taxed the moment you owe it
AppleMiner · Thu Jan 11, 2018 07:37 AM UTC · #76253
at the time of possesion, not sale
