Well the help file says otherwise. Is there another prohashing server that allows lower hashers such as myself to be a part of the pool?

NiteshadeSc2 wrote: Well the help file says otherwise. Is there another prohashing server that allows lower hashers such as myself to be a part of the pool? I am not sure what to tell you. People were flooding the server with too many submissions and they changed it. Maybe they changed it back, but your results seems to suggest otherwise. There is no other server that I am aware of.....

greaseman316 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:01 AM UTC · #74163
register !!! but can help if i dont know what kind of miner you have
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:01 AM UTC · #74164
you go over to prohashing.com and register a new account
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:01 AM UTC · #74165
then you login and you can see your miner once you have it configured and setup to mine here.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:02 AM UTC · #74166
Greaseman can help you but he needs to know what kind of miner you own to help you.

@kamalwah : what kind of miner do you have????????
kamalwah · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:05 AM UTC · #74175
I am really interested doing mining,
kamalwah · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:05 AM UTC · #74176
I found this web site is as miner
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:05 AM UTC · #74177
then you need to get a miner to mine with.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:05 AM UTC · #74179
or go check out a site like mining-rig-rentals
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:05 AM UTC · #74180
or nicehash you can rent other ppls miners to use to try stuff out.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:05 AM UTC · #74181
but have to go there and find out their info and set that up through them
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:07 AM UTC · #74182
@kamalwah I believe what you are being asked -what kind of mining hardware do you have?
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:08 AM UTC · #74184
JUST a laptop? do you have an ASIC or gpu rig or something?
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:08 AM UTC · #74185
you will have a very hard time earning money or getting that to work on here.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:09 AM UTC · #74187
I asked steve to make a post or talk about this or post a twitter, lots of new people heard this is the place to earn some extra cash
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:09 AM UTC · #74189
but you need a base minimum and they wont specify one.
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:09 AM UTC · #74190
You won’t be able to efficiently mine any reasonable volcume of cryptocurrency.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:09 AM UTC · #74191
all miners are welcome, it may just take you 100 days to make 1 penny.
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:10 AM UTC · #74192
I strongly recommend you research ASIC mining on google, or GPU mining other currencies
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:10 AM UTC · #74194
This is the pool to mine scypt currencies on though.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:10 AM UTC · #74196
CPU was good to use a while back for mining.
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:11 AM UTC · #74197
@kamal I will speed up your learning curve though.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:11 AM UTC · #74198
now you need a bit more hardware to do it.
kamalwah · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:11 AM UTC · #74200
this means i need buy seperate hardware.
kamalwah · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:12 AM UTC · #74201
Just wondering how profitibility would be if I buy seperate hardware.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:12 AM UTC · #74202
most people here use either a D3 or a L3+ miner
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:12 AM UTC · #74203
Basically, you have 3 ways to mine cyrptocurrencies. GPU mining rigs. You build a computer (or use your computer) with a really good graphics card, and mine with that. This is best for currencies where ASICS cannot mine. Like Ether. 2. ASIC mining - ASIC’s are a piece of hardware that ONLY mines. they come in many manufacturers, and different algorithms.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:12 AM UTC · #74204
those cost about $2000-$2500 with power supplyues
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:13 AM UTC · #74205
ASICs can mine Bitcoin (BTC), or scrypt (litecoin/dogecoin) and X11 and others. These are the most effecicient miners.
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:13 AM UTC · #74206
MOST people use either a very expensive ASIC, or a very expensive GPU rig so they can realize a profit quickly.
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:14 AM UTC · #74207
GPU rigs can cost $4000 - $8000 or more
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:14 AM UTC · #74208
and usualyl make their money back in 10 months time
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:14 AM UTC · #74209
so, depending on what you want to mine (bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin, ether) you choose what you want to buy for mining hardware, and then you go about setting it up to either solomine, or pool mine (which is what we do here)
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:15 AM UTC · #74210
Appleminer is right. they are expensive. in the case of Ether (Ethereum) you can only GPU mine it. However, when you decide to retire a graphics card, the resale potential is there.
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:16 AM UTC · #74211
so, first decide what you want to mine - then decide what equipment you need to mine it, and then decide which pool you want to mine with, and set it up!
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:16 AM UTC · #74212
when the $2500 miner isnt worth the electricity anymore, its a paper weight or a door stop..no resales.
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:16 AM UTC · #74213
learning curve is a week to 2 weeks till you’re mining efficiently. I am still working on that part
AppleMiner · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:17 AM UTC · #74214
@NiteshadeSc2 : 3 years later im still working on that part, dont fret.
NiteshadeSc2 · Sun Jan 07, 2018 06:17 AM UTC · #74216
I wish I had listened to my gut 3 years ago. I’d be rich by now.

i wish i could have put myself into a comma for 6 months back in may
