so i ran it on ltcpool for a bit, and it appears as though it auto sets the difficulty at around 3.11/2048 (first number changes, but 2048 is constant)

so my guess with prohashing pool is setting my difficulty too high and as such I am not submitting regular shares, and then the pool changes before I complete, so it restarts, rinse/repeat
