thanks THat is what I was thinking
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:17 PM UTC · #43513
if 1 of them was BTC you could be waiting a good while to get enough for it to go
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:17 PM UTC · #43515
I had BTC and BCC, Dash, and LTC
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:18 PM UTC · #43516
just switched to LTC 100%, then I will try to flush out the others.
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:18 PM UTC · #43517
i usually go all LTC, its faster to move and I can always convert later if I need to
Maxiimos · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:18 PM UTC · #43519
yeah I’m sitting on 70%-80% efficiency lately
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:20 PM UTC · #43521
any suggestions gfor L3+ I am getting 100% with no settings...
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:20 PM UTC · #43522
Max i tried to downcloak my miners, under 384, took one down to 375
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:21 PM UTC · #43523
figured it may be better to get 100 percent of 480 than 90 percent of 500.
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:21 PM UTC · #43524
can mess with it and see if it helps any
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:22 PM UTC · #43525
nope L3+ usually i just add n=worker so i can tell them apart
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:23 PM UTC · #43526
@apple how many do you have running? also what are your thoughts on buying s9 Dec pre-sale on bitmain?
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:24 PM UTC · #43528
persoanlly think im done buying miners this generation
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:24 PM UTC · #43529
starting to save up coins so I can get some profits + have some for the next gen
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:25 PM UTC · #43530
its soo late in on this generation, you know shorlty something better and faster is coming out
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:25 PM UTC · #43531
others will tell you to take 30% of what you make and put it back into miners each month
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:26 PM UTC · #43533
i couldnt afford to buy more miners right now, I have enough put aside to run the setup for a year as is
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:26 PM UTC · #43534
well I have only one miner
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:26 PM UTC · #43535
if I put some of that money into more miners, and raised the cost id be out of cash for this in 8 mnths or so
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:26 PM UTC · #43536
and what is YOUR electricy bill?
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:27 PM UTC · #43537
funny thing, when I changed the values to zero on the other coins, I got an instant payouts. They are no w in my wallet.
Maxiimos · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:27 PM UTC · #43538
Apple I like your strategy
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:27 PM UTC · #43539
oh i planed to run this for a year, even if I dip under what 'profit' to electricty is
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:28 PM UTC · #43540
as long as im making coins, and im praying the coins rebound enough to make 'profit' in the future
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:28 PM UTC · #43541
so im on the 1 year track and see where the train gets off at
SantyC93 · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:42 PM UTC · #43543
do you think I can mine from a random pc at home? or I need appropriate gear? Do you have a link for a guide to start mining in prohashing? TY <3
GregoryGHarding · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:45 PM UTC · #43544
if youre new to crypto currency, there are two steps, step one: mine at no profit on existing owned hardware to learn how to mine, trade off is electricity cost to learn, step 2: is invest in asic equipment once your knowledgeable and comfortable in the investment.
SantyC93 · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:52 PM UTC · #43545
ok ty
can I ask how can I start mining on my hardware here on prohasing?
SantyC93 · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:52 PM UTC · #43546
I can never find a comprehensive guide which explains all I need to start
avnisal · Thu Oct 26, 2017 01:53 PM UTC · #43547
where do i go for help setting up Prohash as i think ive done it wrong as the status on miner is dead
3Moose · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:01 PM UTC · #43548
SantyC93 wrote: do you think I can mine from a random pc at home? or I need appropriate gear? Do you have a link for a guide to start mining in prohashing? TY <3 For some coins, yes. Coins such at BTC or LTC - No. You will at the very least need to get a decent video card (GPU). If this is how you want to start, google ASIC resistant coins and that will give you a list of coins that are at least theoretically able to be minded from your home (profitability). Keep in mind this information changes very quickly.
SantyC93 · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:03 PM UTC · #43549
ok ty very much
can you suggest a good mining client to start "experimenting" on my gear, I also have a pc with a decent gpu an I could try mining on it
3Moose · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:03 PM UTC · #43550
@SantyC93 : Also - Google Nicehash Profitablity Calc to see a nice list of CPUs, GPUs, and ASICS and their current profitability.
3Moose · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:05 PM UTC · #43551
SantyC93 wrote: ok ty very much can you suggest a good mining client to start "experimenting" on my gear, I also have a pc with a decent gpu an I could try mining on it Guides will vary depending on the coin. The best tool -- YOUTUBE. Go there and type in "GPU mining" and that will give you various walkthroughs

Don’t feel bad.... I have been trying for days to get NH to connect and still can’t get it to work....and I generally can blunt force my way through most tech....
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:07 PM UTC · #43558
does NH have any type of help forums?
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:08 PM UTC · #43559
and surprised no one added to the post you made, someone has to be doing it, they just never read the forums
SantyC93 · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:08 PM UTC · #43560
gotta go now, bye guys and ty again
Poolpuppy · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:17 PM UTC · #43563
I have made 0.37 today with 2 x L3+ And 1 D3
AppleMiner · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:33 PM UTC · #43565
its not noon yet, so not a bad start
mycide · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:40 PM UTC · #43566
@appleminer running 21 rigs, nice, how do you got em setup? warehouse rented? what ur capacity on electricity?
mycide · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:43 PM UTC · #43567
I’m running 4 L3+ 2 D3, and now 1 Titan, my brother got the other one, Basically what is hindering me from expanding more now is the cost of expanding the capacity, and the steeply increase yearly fee for the main fuses. atm im having 25amps main fuse. about 7kw of rigs.
mycide · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:44 PM UTC · #43568
just ugraded heating from direct electricity to air water heat pump, so i guess i might have a few more kw to take before upgrading.
3Moose · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:44 PM UTC · #43569
Losing 10% on my shares to "stale" -- at 99-100% at NH. Makes it hard to stay.
mycide · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:45 PM UTC · #43570
efficiency atm is real shit. was long time ago i had it sub 90
mycide · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:47 PM UTC · #43571
appleminer so ur running almost 17kw of L3+s that is damn nice.. I’m thinking about finding a place up north in Sweden, or maybe even Iceland as electricity is half of what i pay in Sweden, and heat wouldnt be a problem, i could even hook up an apartment building and sell em the excess heat
3Moose · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:48 PM UTC · #43572
I am losing a full LTC a day just in lost eff
3Moose · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:50 PM UTC · #43573
That’s a loss of 365 LTC a year....
3Moose · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:50 PM UTC · #43574
or 20K at today’s prices....
mycide · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:56 PM UTC · #43575
idd, eff wont be fixed until they upgrade if they ever. So have to take that lost profit into calculations for staying here, atm maybe other pool pays better.
mycide · Thu Oct 26, 2017 02:56 PM UTC · #43576
but im usually running at 95-98% and that is ok for me.
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 03:18 PM UTC · #43578

mycide wrote: idd, eff wont be fixed until they upgrade if they ever. So have to take that lost profit into calculations for staying here, atm maybe other pool pays better. Well, that is not gonna happen as you can imagine. I can’t run a business that way. But... I will keep a machine or two pointed this way to see if things improve.
Carson18 · Thu Oct 26, 2017 03:42 PM UTC · #43586
Changed both miners from d=131702 and dropped 20%effeciency but earnings have staued the same
gblass · Thu Oct 26, 2017 03:45 PM UTC · #43588

D3 will be at 10 bucks a day in no time. The drop on that has been epic. I feel back for paid 13K for the A5’s. Never gonna ROI.
