Bullshit

AppleMiner · · #37349

where can you see that at?

AppleMiner · · #37350

the count stale shares

TraderSP · · #37351

Rejected share reasons (earnings)

TraderSP · · #37352

Below Average mining efficiency

AppleMiner · · #37353

what number should it be?

AppleMiner · · #37354

and what time frame is that? the past 24 hours? or 2 hours?

TraderSP · · #37355

Zero

TraderSP · · #37356

AppleMiner · · #37357

cant really imagine any number being all 100 or all 0

AppleMiner · · #37358

absolute promises are usually lies.

AppleMiner · · #37359

doesnt that number go up 1 time each time the miner in the autopool switches a coin?

AppleMiner · · #37360

like the pool forces you to switch and you were in the middle, so arent both stale, and the count go up by 1?

AppleMiner · · #37361

if you static mine and never leave the coin i would think it would be a lot less?

AppleMiner · · #37362

I'd live with a 3% decrease in efficny if it meant hoping to coins that paid 30% more than mining 1 coin with a lower payout.

AppleMiner · · #37363

i just hate it when i see i am mining litecoins. if i wanted that id go to LCP. thats the part i dont get, no better coins for the pool to mine than that?

Splinter · · #37364

use a minor diff if you want to avoid ltc

Carson18 · · #37365

why is the bitcoin payout set sooo high compared to other coins? does everyone just incur fees and take a lower payout or do you wait ?

GregoryGHarding · · #37366

bitcoin fees are much higher than other coins, thats why we recommend you payout in ltc or other favorite coin.

Splinter · · #37367

I wait when I want to get paid in btc... I think it should be 0.015 (without fee)

Carson18 · · #37368

makes sense thanks for the reply!

Splinter · · #37369

ltc or eth works good for small miners

Carson18 · · #37370

good idea ill try eth i have 2 l3s i just wanted to diversify a bit with another coin thanks

Chapenji · · #37371

Guys I’m having an issue with the Payout Threshold. I have set my payout threshold to 0.11 LTC. I’ve mined 0.3LTC and still no payout yet.

Splinter · · #37372

you have to wait 24hrs... Just one payment a day

GregoryGHarding · · #37373

payment occurs after 24 hours, balance from 00:00 EST is paid out roughly 8-10AM EST

Chapenji · · #37374

ahhh ok no drama. Thanks guys :)

AppleMiner · · #37375

ok i was looking at something maybe someone can explain this. When we connect to the autopool, we hope around from 1 coin to another but the miner doesnt restart. when i want to mine a specific coin I add the static line and then it has to restart and takes 1 or 2 mins to reconnect.

AppleMiner · · #37376

is there a program i can point the miner to the program and have it switch the settings for me from 1 coin to another without a restart the way the pool does it?

AppleMiner · · #37377

or is that only because they control the flow internally once you connect to the auto pool with no static set?

AppleMiner · · #37378

i was looking at proxy but that seems to only be from pool to pool, not settings in the same pool unless i didnt understand it all the way.

AppleMiner · · #37379

but that would just make them turn on live or dead and still restart and not connect for 2 mins if im reading it right

GregoryGHarding · · #37380

@AppleMiner :  wont work, because coins are assigned before stratum connection, thats why theres no miner restart

AppleMiner · · #37381

then how does the pool switch coins we are on around after the fact? or is there that same 1-2 min delay each switch as part of the calculating hashrate that there is when setting a coin and hitting apply?

GregoryGHarding · · #37382

theres no delay because when the coin switches on ph their stratum issues a work restart instead of disconnecting and reconnecting

GregoryGHarding · · #37383

otherwise when you change your pool settings its disconnecting and reconnecting

AppleMiner · · #37384

is there anyway to change settings on my side with a work restart that has the new settings instead of restarting to apply them?

AppleMiner · · #37385

like a hotswap, restart without a reboot

AppleMiner · · #37386

putty or ssh?

AppleMiner · · #37387

alter settings, start a new process, kill the old one so it just conencts over?

GregoryGHarding · · #37388

nope

AppleMiner · · #37389

ok thanks. I see all those big value coins and we never switch to mine them, be nice to pick them, but if each restart takes 2 mins to reconnect, not sure its worth it to chase the high coins if not mining for 2 mins each time.

yes it would but dont they change every minute ?

dog1965 · · #37391

or should I say whatever amount of minutes hours you get my point.

Rexmint · · #37393

Why is my electric cost so off on my "earnings" page? Am I entering something wrong? My l3+ uses 800 W and I pay $.12 per kWh but it saying I only spent $.11 on electric today

AppleMiner · · #37394

do not think that has ever worked

AppleMiner · · #37395

low priority to ever be fixed.

AppleMiner · · #37396

others asked in the forums and they said not an issue to affect money so they letting it go for now.

Rexmint · · #37397

K ty

lhfx21 · · #37398

Very strange, one miner moving between coins which seems to be the most profitable, and the other 3 stuck with litecoin, one of them have dynamic diff and it is mining litecoin anyway

@steve sokolowski did you see my request to add NLC2 coin for the payout options?

Maybe - but there are so many tickets that it probably is buried in them

Steve Sokolowski · · #37402

I apologize for that; we’re working through the tickets as quickly as possible

Aura89 · · #37411

Is anyone able to answer the question in this post? viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2180

Aura89 · · #37412

I’d really like to know the answer before i start sending payments to anyone.....

Maxiimos · · #37413

all that changes is the confirmation time for the transaction

Maxiimos · · #37414

higher fee = quicker confirmation, due to the incentive for miners to add it to a block

Maxiimos · · #37415

you can put a fee of 0 and it will be confirmed eventually, it’s just hard to predict how long it will be

Maxiimos · · #37416

hope that helps

rd_on_es · · #37417

Hello, does anyone know what the bitcoin fee for balances lower than the default 0.00310901 ?

losos · · #37418

payment happened today?

rd_on_es · · #37419

I set the threshold lower today, payout hasn’t happened.

losos · · #37420

i was default within mine account, nothing

Flash · · #37421

down around 20$ a day. is this normal for everyone else?

dog1965 · · #37422

Flash wrote: down around 20$ a day. is this normal for everyone else?
thats better than I have how many miners are you using ?

Aura89 · · #37423

@Maxiimos the only problem with that explanation is that explains what the "custom" option does but it does not (unless i’m misunderstanding something) explain what the "confirmation time target" slider does to your fee, that slider is for the "recommended" section but does not change the 0.001 LTC/kB. In other words, i don’t know how that slider affects the fee, how to calculate it, etc. as it does not say.

Im just using one, but Im hashing over 500 usually

Anyone have a link to help a novice who’s never used api to quickly get up to speed to automatically download the data I need for accounting via api (coin mined, qty, value, etc)?

The documentation at https://prohashing.com/help.html should be of use

bkjwashere · · #37432

Thanks Steve. I appreciate how easy you have made it on your sight to get to critical info. I think you guys have done a great job. However, I think on the api question I posed, you may have overestimated what the term "novice" means. I read through that stuff already & I’ve still no clue how to get from here to there. I haven’t programmed anything in over 17 years. I’m a little lost, truthfully.

AppleMiner · · #37433

find a miner program that uses APIs?

bkjwashere · · #37434

I just want to pull raw data into MS Excel & work with it from there. Can someone give me an example of the URL that pulls data from prohashing’s api. Maybe I could work from there.

AppleMiner · · #37435

dont know that there is a URL

AppleMiner · · #37436

not sure what you are looking for sorry

bkjwashere · · #37437

I know you start with "wss://live.prohashing.com:443/ws", but I don’t know how to format the data I want to call

AppleMiner · · #37438

https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoindev/comments/1z4dh1/mining_pool_api_key_question/

AppleMiner · · #37439

try that

AppleMiner · · #37440

you should be able to edit and save that first sample as HTML

AppleMiner · · #37441

and it should show the JSON - data pairs

bkjwashere · · #37442

I don’t know how to "edit & save that first sample as HTML". Are you saying I need to download Python, learn how to use it, then edit that example?

bkjwashere · · #37443

When plugging the url into Excel, I get: ""The scheme ’wss’ of the input URL isn’t supported. The supported schemes are ’http’, ’https’, ’file’, and ’ftp’.""

Carson18 · · #37444

Is everyones hash rate all over the place? Or is it just me?

bkjwashere · · #37445

My hashrate on prohashing has been varying between 33% & 210% of what is expected while appearing steady on my miners software.

3Moose · · #37446

did you set your diff with the p= argument?

3Moose · · #37447

pardon its d=

Carson18 · · #37448

Okay thats exactly what im getting, ill get notifications that it fell to zero but i assume thats when im switching coins and i have no arguments set atm
