technically for us, we pay a tax on the coins when they were created, then we pay another tax at the time of selling minus the fees already paid when it was mined.
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:31 PM UTC · #30617
we await a ruling from our tax office in Feb, but currently the guidance is we ay when we turn into fiat
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:31 PM UTC · #30618
so the US taxes wants their money now when you make the coin, and then again if when you sell it
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:31 PM UTC · #30619
so you lose it in the meantime they already got their cut
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:31 PM UTC · #30620
because the question asked is, if you go out gold detecting do you pay tax on the value of the gold when you find it or sell it?
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:32 PM UTC · #30621
but sometimes sense is not what is used by these tax offices and it is more what can be easily measured, rather than what is consistant and/or fair
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:32 PM UTC · #30622
to me if I hold something it has no value only when the person offering to exchange goods puts a price to it, does it become a real value.
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:32 PM UTC · #30623
I practice shrodenier's cat box of finances.
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:33 PM UTC · #30624
which is a valid view, but the tax office makes up their own reality to suit themselves
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:34 PM UTC · #30625
I make one point though - the only truly anonymous coins are those which are mined (solo) and sent to a wallet that has never been spent from
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:34 PM UTC · #30626
Love, love, you know what love is? Love is an illusion created by lawyer types like yourself to perpetuate another illusion called marriage to create the reality of divorce and then the illusionary need for divorce lawyers.
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:35 PM UTC · #30627
and might be spent from some time in the future when you may be in a different country...
lhfx21 · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:35 PM UTC · #30628
So if someone doesn’t live in the US and doesn’t have US greencard can mine in the US tax free?
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:35 PM UTC · #30629
id just send them to myself
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:35 PM UTC · #30630
OR...take out 50K in cash, hide it under my bed, and send my coins to myself.
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:36 PM UTC · #30631
I am an engineer, not a lawyer, many places I work calling an engineer a lawyer can get you a punch in the head
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:36 PM UTC · #30632
I reiterate - the only truly anonymous coins are those which are mined (solo) and sent to a wallet that has never been spent from
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:36 PM UTC · #30633
I bought coins, 50K I sold them 60K go ahead tax my for 10K profits...pretty sure I got some cash to pay that with.

lhfx21 wrote: So if someone doesn’t live in the US and doesn’t have US greencard can mine in the US tax free? it seems o, but this starts raising some of the more difficult questions of crypto and cross border actions by individuals, at some point it becomes impractical to mange/control
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:39 PM UTC · #30638
if you arent a US citizen you dont pay taxes on money you didnt make form us
dog1965 · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:39 PM UTC · #30639

if you come to america for school, and have a job here, they tax money from here to you
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:39 PM UTC · #30641
we also currently have a thing in Australia, if you pay for a personal use item worth less than 10k with crypto then it is not taxable, mainly because it is to hard to do all the paperwork, for the tax office
dog1965 · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:39 PM UTC · #30642
peace people and fuck the tax man.
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:40 PM UTC · #30644

dog1965 · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:40 PM UTC · #30646
there you go f the police I agree!!!!!
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:40 PM UTC · #30647
and their are other precedents, like say stamp collecting, where the difference between an untaxed hobby and a taxable enterprise is the 10k limit

hashingpro wrote: and blue yeah that chief thing was a joke Ha, you got me twice then

true that let only rich people pay not poor!!!!!
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:43 PM UTC · #30658
I just object to paying so much tax because I work long hours and the govt treats me like I am "rich" so I can pay 10 times more tax than someone earning a third of what I do
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:43 PM UTC · #30660
you are living ABOVE the means of others
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:43 PM UTC · #30661
no thats fine, you can have my taxes...when you pay me back for the tuition and years of my life learning this trade to make this money.
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:44 PM UTC · #30662
I earn enough to pay a shitload, but not enough to pay a tax lawyer...
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:44 PM UTC · #30663
paying the lawyer may be cheaper.
hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:44 PM UTC · #30664

hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:49 PM UTC · #30691
It's not very big. You could walk across it in three or four days. Three or four days! You can walk across New York State in two! Yeah, but this is the Territory. I mean, anything under 1,000 square miles up here is a hobby farm.

hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:54 PM UTC · #30709
i didnt get into deep assemble compling and programming by registers til I hit college on a vax/vms mainframe
bluelemonadecrypto · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:54 PM UTC · #30710
the only one I can find online is "shaft Raider" and that was a shit thing because the local computer shop owner in our state "produced it" and the game cover had all spelling mistakes and that
dog1965 · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:54 PM UTC · #30711

hashingpro · Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:54 PM UTC · #30712
