The LTC changes were successfully released, but the remaining changes have yet to be released, so we’re working on those at about 9:00am EDT today

AvPro wrote: @Steve Sokolowski : do you have status of BTC daily payout? Thanks for update No, but the software retries every few hours to check whether the money to be sent has yet been received by us

exchange delays probably caused it to take some time

BTC transaction received and waiting for confirmaion.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:17 AM UTC · #10465
I was going to just pull all my BTC off NH and not bother with it for a while, but . .
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:19 AM UTC · #10467
I see the whole market has adjusted and surprisingly on Scrypt there is a "break even" point if you can manage to get an order (Fixed) at about 0.0530
mickeekung · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:19 AM UTC · #10468
Tell me about your new strategy please FRISKIE.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:20 AM UTC · #10469
So I am just using NH and PH today to "diversify" some of the BTC into different currencies. Just selecting different coins for payouts
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:20 AM UTC · #10470
I was going to do it anyway, but this way saves me the transaction fees
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:21 AM UTC · #10471
I ran a couple of orders with LTC payouts, now I am running some with PIVX as payout
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:22 AM UTC · #10472
Next I'll switch payout coin and run some orders with something different
mickeekung · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:22 AM UTC · #10473
How about renting X11 instead of Scrypt? Is it good idea?
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:23 AM UTC · #10474
The same big orders are placed there driving up price
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:24 AM UTC · #10475
It may work, try some small orders with best price you can get, try and see if you can even reach a bbreak even point
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:24 AM UTC · #10476
If yes, you can at least use it as a cheap "conversion utility" like I am
Searing · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:27 AM UTC · #10477
anybody about have a question on $$$ earnings bar
Searing · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:30 AM UTC · #10478
anyway seems to high when I manually put in $$ vs exchange rate is this just known?
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:53 AM UTC · #10479
Regarding NH, I've just about had enough of them, and the owners of the site have sold out to some "mafia" who seem now to run the site entirely.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:55 AM UTC · #10480
There's nothing left for casual miners, clearly the group (mafia) looks at the collective hashing power available there and views it as an asset to direct wherever they want.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 10:58 AM UTC · #10481
Clearly the bots were only the first stage, and now guarantee that all available miners will be pushed upwards to feed the huge orders they setup.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 12:07 PM UTC · #10482
Just consider by now that NH has sold out to some scum bug mafia types who see NH as an "aggregator" of a lot of hash power to direct wherever wanted,
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 12:08 PM UTC · #10483
reminds me of DDoS in a way, a few people with big funds directing an entire network of devices at a target to achieve an agenda.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 12:12 PM UTC · #10484
Or even more likely? The NH owners themselves ARE the mafia - having evolved over time away from providing a service for "hashing power buyers", and more into a service that "buys the miners themselves" to direct at targets for specific agendas.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 12:13 PM UTC · #10485
Sell the coins mined, at likely higher prices afterwards, and fund the next round.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 12:15 PM UTC · #10486
You can see how only a very few orders now always have the vast majority of available miners for themselves, so the NH strategy has clearly shifted away from worrying about "selling hash power"
piet · Wed Jul 05, 2017 01:54 PM UTC · #10487
FRISKIE wrote: reminds me of DDoS in a way, a few people with big funds directing an entire network of devices at a target to achieve an agenda. I think miners are mining at PH themselves now, NH does not like that. whattomine (i know...) always has NH in the top 5, but the PH news (good earnings!) is spreading. PH is stealing "their" money, the bots (and ddos??) are an attempt to make miners stay. NH miners will be back, soon
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 02:10 PM UTC · #10489
Yeah, if you're looking at it as an issue with defestion of their miners over to PH, it makes perfect sense. They have a truly retarded way of approaching it though,
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 02:12 PM UTC · #10490
One would think the profit all begins with luring over lots of paying customers who are eager to rent, then give them all the miners they can buy, and balance the system so everyone earns in a balanced way.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 02:13 PM UTC · #10491
What they have done is add those goddamn bots, way too aggressive at pushing price levels, and paying customers leave = less for miners
fattygrub · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:17 PM UTC · #10492
FRISKIE wrote: Hard to believe the NH slime bag SOBs dont even list PH as a compatabile pool loll - https://new.nicehash.com/compatible-pools i’ve thought of the same... i even emailed them asking them to include PH as a good pool. no answer.. that was a couple weeks ago before we went down... even though we KNOW without a doubt they are pegged to PH... very curious
AvPro · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:29 PM UTC · #10493
Funny thing was there is a Reddit post when they deny placing orders themselves. Yeahhhh rightttt
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:30 PM UTC · #10494
Doesn't matter anymore, NH has shifted into a new phase when hashpower buyers are not part of it.
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:34 PM UTC · #10495
Now the behaviour takes all available miners into a handful of orders and directs it . . . that's the good question, the tactic harness up 100s , maybe 1000's of GH//s into an order that can point it anywhere. Wonder whether the whole point is to earn money directly, or influence things by turning huge hashrate loose on it.
fattygrub · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #10496
FRISKIE wrote: Doesn’t matter anymore, NH has shifted into a new phase when hashpower buyers are not part of it. i thought the same... they have realized that they can make more at PH than their own stratum pool. so everyone else is out
fattygrub · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #10497
its either that or a whole big bunch of real newbies jumped in at one time...
fattygrub · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:37 PM UTC · #10498
becuase a regular guy simply cannot make money there right now
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:37 PM UTC · #10499
Those 100 GHs orders are a lot, add in several others at 30GHs here, 20 GHs there, all directed as workers to the same location
fattygrub · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:37 PM UTC · #10500
nor at MRR which best price right now is 0.0555
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:38 PM UTC · #10501
No, this is delibverate, the bots were the first part
FRISKIE · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:38 PM UTC · #10502
The force the miners up higher, toward the mega big orders
fattygrub · Wed Jul 05, 2017 03:38 PM UTC · #10503
yeah but i can work with the bots ... i did it for two weeks before we went down and was doing fine
