kirrrrrr · · #7796

/ being more competitive on nh

kirrrrrr · · #7797

would be a pretty hard to build system anyway..

kirrrrrr · · #7798

maybe its just one highroller on nh

FRISKIE · · #7799

What's known for sure is that NH uses the PH profitability to "set prices" with bots that set a series of orders at steps of 10, and these orders drive prices up, or allow them to fall, by ramping up speed at a certain level and grabbing all the miners from levels below

fattygrub · · #7800

that’s right friskie...and i bet anyone those bots aren’t mining at prohashing or paying for the data. Prohashing is giving the data to the whole world for "free"

AvPro · · #7801

FRISKIE, nicehash were doing this over the days PH was down. (They will be calculating it same way PH, Zpool, Hash-to-coin and multipol al do it.)

FRISKIE · · #7802

Sure mate, they clearly have a failover strategy, but the pricing behavior was very different while PH is off the air

fattygrub · · #7803

avpro: no they don’t

fattygrub · · #7804

most of them simply use whatever coinwarz.com says..

fattygrub · · #7805

prohashing go much deeper,

fattygrub · · #7806

hash-to-coins uses coinwarz

FRISKIE · · #7807

When PH WAMP comes back online though the bots start to slowly settle down, and they exactly follow the rise and fall of PH profitability

fattygrub · · #7808

nothing else

fattygrub · · #7809

why else would all at nicehash follow prohashing profitability? nice has rates are not going to anything more complicated than coinwarz when prohashing is down...i stick with my case: prohashing is GIVING AWAY proprietary second-by-sceond dat to the whole world

FRISKIE · · #7810

And I sure as hell wish that data would come back online so the NH pricing would return to sanity! :D

denise0848 · · #7811

Live balances appear to be stalled.

FRISKIE · · #7812

Oh my, not again :-|

fattygrub · · #7813

yeah me too. but that data should be private to miners

FRISKIE · · #7814

but that data should be private to miners
or monetized, as you've pointed out

fattygrub · · #7815

only those of us submitting shares should get live data

fattygrub · · #7816

right now monetized would be very hard to account for.. simple fix is mine: on prohashing = get data

fattygrub · · #7817

no mine = no data

Sunegg · · #7818

Since PH does have capacity problems, I don’t think Prohashing should accept customers who use NH. The customers who have their own miners are obviously much less volatile when it comes to capacity. Doesn’t complain NEARLY as much. And are almost certainly way more profitable for Prohashing in the long run.

fattygrub · · #7819

Profitabilty for Prohashing comes fro volume in gigs no matter from where.

olkah · · #7820

the pool lies at the bottom !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

olkah · · #7821

Chris /Steve who will compensate the loss ????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

olkah · · #7822

a minimum of 10 $$$

olkah · · #7823

and if not then the pool turns into outright fraud !!!!

FRISKIE · · #7824

I don’t think Prohashing should accept customers who use NH
PH sees hashing power, period. ;) Not sure where the bit about complaining comes from, chill bro, we're all part of a community here :)

olkah · · #7825

Yes, but it becomes already obvious

n00bminer · · #7826

I do not agree with this... no one is forcing anyone to mine here...mining is a gamble, there is no guarantees

olkah · · #7827

someone game and who daily bread кому то игра а кому хлеб насущный

FRISKIE · · #7828

@ olkah - geez olkah, always such drama :) No pool is going to guarantee your profits mate, or if you find one that does please let me know! :D

FRISKIE · · #7829

mining is a gamble, there is no guarantees
right on ;)

olkah · · #7830

just all need to work honestly

n00bminer · · #7831

if I wanted steady, less than risky profits, I’d be at litecoinpool. you want max profits, it is here, but with that comes a risk right now. You want a middle ground, head to hash-to-coins, and deal with the transaction nightmare of exchange hell

olkah · · #7832

who knows the Russian language, please write in Russian

n00bminer · · #7833

with 1950 workers, I think our GH is up there

olkah · · #7834

:D :D :D

tmopar · · #7835

i am pointing about 800 there

tmopar · · #7836

(.8 gh)

n00bminer · · #7837

lol , I thought you meant 800 workers

Gradius · · #7838

Hiya folks, I just want to make sure I’m doing this correctly... I’ve had a miner connected to PH for about 30 minutes now and my earnings still say ’no valid shares yet.’ My miner is reporting several hundred valid shares. Is this a bug?

n00bminer · · #7839

you are fine

n00bminer · · #7840

the portion of the site (WAMP) that shows that data is down at the moment

Gradius · · #7841

Awesome, thanks!

taka · · #7842

My live balances no account about 5 hours ago???

n00bminer · · #7843

wamp still down after bounce =P

n00bminer · · #7844

I think chris is turning on some objects 1 at a time to check them

taka · · #7845

Live balances working now but no add for 5hours earnings

n00bminer · · #7846

yes, there are missing shares it looks like

VanessaEzekowitz · · #7847

My earnings are WAY off also, by several hours. Not sure by how much - over 1 LTC it looks like.

taka · · #7848

I guess my earnings lost over 0.35btc

n00bminer · · #7849

yeoch

VanessaEzekowitz · · #7850

I’ve lost rather less, but enough (about 1.5 LTC if my estimate is right)

n00bminer · · #7851

shares are logged in the DB, so most likelt just waiting for chris to assign them, no worries

VanessaEzekowitz · · #7852

ok, so long as everything’s properly recorded.

GregoryGHarding · · #7854

i like Give-me-coins, if you have good hashpower returns are good, uses PPLNS

GregoryGHarding · · #7855

its a great backup pool when PHP goes down for whatever reason

GregoryGHarding · · #7856

PH

GregoryGHarding · · #7857

i need my purple back :)

Advanced1 · · #7858

SO... My A4 and L3+ will no longer connect to the pool. Why do you think that is? I’ve unplugged and restarted them , cleared the DNS etc ...and yet they both report pool dead. Is there another port I could try?

Advanced1 · · #7859

They have worked awesomely on the pool for the last couple of months

mjgraham · · #7860

I dont know if you can ssh to them but if you can for fun you might try to ping prohashing.com and see what it returns for the IP

Advanced1 · · #7861

in theory i should be able to ....but it will take me a few days to learn linux

n00bminer · · #7862

1. log into your raspberry controller 2. edit /etc/hosts with your favorite editor (i use nano, so nano /etc/hosts) 3. add prohashing entry ( 192.3.198.21 prohashing.com) 4. save file and exit 5. test with ping prohashing.com

n00bminer · · #7863

A4 user/pass should be pi/innosilicon unless you changed it

Advanced1 · · #7864

Ok ...seems easy enough ...ill try that Thanks for the info ill google the steps for the L3+ Thanks

n00bminer · · #7865

ATT still has not updated their DNS entries for prohashing

n00bminer · · #7866

L3+ maybe root/root =(

Advanced1 · · #7867

oh maybe it hasnt propagated my area yet im in Santa Fe New Mexico .... Yeah the Bitmain interface is alot more useful

Advanced1 · · #7868

Yup looks like the DNS isnt updated yet

Advanced1 · · #7869

Ill Be Bock ...later folks enjoy

n00bminer · · #7870

yea, it seems bellsouth may have just fixed theirs https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/prohashing.com

Forum notification · · #7871

has started a new topic: Shares Lost and System Bugs

JoeTheMiner · · #7872

My earnings are off as well, can’t mine anymore until the problem is resolved as this just isn’t working.

frphm · · #7873

I really wish the Prohashing subreddit was public so that we could go there when the forum is down. It’s really uncomfortable to get online and find both the website and forum down and I have no idea why

taka · · #7874

Scrypt Argentum a lot of times lost.....

dustind900 · · #7875

diff args not working?

GregoryGHarding · · #7876

minimums are raised

taka · · #7877

Pool down?? Again again

VanessaEzekowitz · · #7878

taka, from their twitter feed, "DDoS is occurring, but hosting provider is killing them. Only short blips in service while they adapt."

taka · · #7879

I see so not here but hashflare site down

GregoryGHarding · · #7880

i think the dossers are branching out. now that prohashing is immune, looks like hashflare is next

taka · · #7881

One day I was mining here and result is about 10% - ;; sad so today I am watching only

taka · · #7882

So Chris sad here will start mining sha256???

Chris Sokolowski · · #7883

I paid everyone extra money to compensate for the missing mining time today

Chris Sokolowski · · #7884

I apologize for everyone who has support issues as I have not been answering them as quickly as before. Now that the system is stable, I will be back to faster support.

GregoryGHarding · · #7885

i think their aiming for end of month on sha256

GregoryGHarding · · #7886

glad to be back chris

Chris Sokolowski · · #7887

We need to make sure we can handle scrypt and X11 before we get sha-256

taka · · #7888

Hi Chris thanks add my missing profits

GregoryGHarding · · #7889

i assume you havnt worked out the solo mining rewards bug yet

GregoryGHarding · · #7890

since the shit that went down recently

taka · · #7891

Last day here is very low prices than NH selling fixed price

Sunegg · · #7892

Chris Sokolowski wrote: We need to make sure we can handle scrypt and X11 before we get sha-256
I totally agree Chris. Thanks for your hard work.

gnode · · #7893

Why were earnings so low yesterday? I thought mining was not disrupted and Chris was to fix shares?

kirrrrrr · · #7894

Iam too still missing almost all earnings yesterday!

kirrrrrr · · #7895

For sure, there was not update and i was sending in 30ghs for 6 h ...
