If you’re getting nailed with a simple volumetric attack your carrier should be able to offer some kind of ’clean pipe’ service on demand, but there response SLA may lag a bit.Always on proactive services cost more.

GregoryGHarding · · #7092

bed time for me, night folks happy mining

taka · · #7093

taka · · #7094

For that price, we can get a 1Gbit symmetrical connection for the server. I wonder if that would work just as well.

A second attack. At least now I know what to do in response.

We do have a separate management interface for on all our servers, even down to the hardware level (IPMI), which is what I’ve been using to change the configurations of the machines.

Unfortunately, due to the time of day the attacks hit, I feel like the attacks may be from Russia with love too.

Chris, i`ve send a couple of mails regarding my btc payout, please payout my coins...

piet · · #7100

i lowered the payout and got a "V" now, never mind...
piet wrote: Chris, i`ve send a couple of mails regarding my btc payout, please payout my coins...

piet · · #7101

eligible payout minus 5% does the trick

taka · · #7106

I am waiting today’s pay out now

n00bminer · · #7107

Steve and Chris. Just my humble opinion, all the interruptions are not your fault, I am not paying to mine here, stop charging yourself for downtime. failover pools were designed for hiccups. You cannot afford to refund fees every time something hiccups or you get a new attack. We need you to stay in business

FRISKIE · · #7108

Makes sense

taka · · #7109

FRISKIE · · #7113

If it's BTC it likely comes anytime between now and a few hours from now - I take a lot of BTC payouts myself and its always like this

FRISKIE · · #7114

Everything else pays out before BTC finally goes, almost always - I learned to be patient :)

taka · · #7115

AvPro · · #7116

missing out on some incredible profits today
yeah there have been some insane profit spikes today mostly coming off Bitconnectcoin - I was going to wait for better prices on NH but went ahead and set an order much higher than I usually would to get involved :)

JoeTheMiner · · #7128

Steve Sokolowski · · #7138

mickeekung wrote: Workers: 0 and NaN GH/s. Anything wrong?
I don’t know what causes that bug - it doesn’t seem to affect mining at all. I asked Chris to investigate it.

Chris Sokolowski · · #7139

The BTC payout failed because I had only put enough money in the hot wallet to pay customers who were over the threshold at midnight. BTC price rose, more people went over the threshold, and then there was no longer enough money in the hot wallet to execute the payout.

soomro1976 · · #7145

hello

soomro1976 · · #7146

i am new here

soomro1976 · · #7147

which is the best mining software to use with prohashing?

soomro1976 · · #7148

cg sg claymore?

VanessaEzekowitz · · #7149

@soomro1976 :  I use bfgminer. It works fine most of the time. Its only real problem is that if it marks a device as "dead" (even if it’s not), it won’t re-scan/re-enable it later. You have to restart the program.

kirrrrrr · · #7150

these bots on nh are getting extremely educated these times, is anyone able to competite against them in reasonable profit anymore?

kirrrrrr · · #7151

by hand..

kirrrrrr · · #7152

there is this one guy in the scrypt pool who has like 15 orders running, switiching the limits to where its still profitable

kirrrrrr · · #7153

nice hack of the system

kirrrrrr · · #7154

but no more space between

Nalith · · #7155

kirrrrrr wrote: there is this one guy in the scrypt pool who has like 15 orders running, switiching the limits to where its still profitable
It is supposed to give you miners last if that happens... I tried it didn’t really work for me... but guess you could automate it.. :p

AvPro · · #7156

That is nicehash themselves. It’s in the NH FAQ - they will inflate the orderbook if market price increases (which it is) so that miners connectred the NH system get good pay.

GregoryGHarding · · #7157

its a rigged system more people lose than win, its gambling. clean and simple. and i refuse to gamble my money to crypto

mjgraham · · #7158

Yes on NH the 15 order spread and adjusting the rate on them is aggervating , i wish i had thought of that method. It wouldnt be so bad it the rate didnt hit like 700+ mh on each one a little nutty ,

kirrrrrr · · #7159

anyone is also into daytrading?

mjgraham · · #7160

I did notice the total hashrate between usa and europe is about balanced for some reason, it has been about 2x avaliable in eu vs usa

fattygrub · · #7161

site down

fattygrub · · #7162

GregoryGHarding · · #7165

i think someones angry that they cant hack accounts anymore.. this started after 2FA went live

fattygrub · · #7166

yeah its killing me. i made bank yesterday. missed all day (morning) because of delayed . now i don’t know what these "NH bots" are chasing so no profit. i squeeze in one good one....and we’re down

webshaun · · #7167

i’m on contract time right now

webshaun · · #7168

third night in a row at least

GregoryGHarding · · #7169

do i have to go on my NH rant again?

webshaun · · #7170

NH?

GregoryGHarding · · #7171

or are the complaints about NH related mining gonna stop

fattygrub · · #7172

not complaining about NH dude ... complaining about putting +$500 per 24 hr period thru here and we been down 5 TIMES!!!

fattygrub · · #7173

i like nicehash

GregoryGHarding · · #7174

here we gooo

fattygrub · · #7175

i don’t like continuous interurruptions in services

GregoryGHarding · · #7176

every time you place an order on nicehash, youre putting a 20 in the slot machine

webshaun · · #7177

um, i didn’t go to nh

webshaun · · #7178

i just didn’t want to buy straight up coins, i don’t care if i pay more

fattygrub · · #7179

dude, you ain’t hearing... i haven’t lost ANY money ant nicehash...i am losing opportunites

webshaun · · #7180

but that’s not the point, this pool issues are the point

fattygrub · · #7181

exactly

GregoryGHarding · · #7182

you just said you lost 500

GregoryGHarding · · #7183

there are no pool issues

webshaun · · #7184

..... no pool issues?

GregoryGHarding · · #7185

the servers are being Dosses

webshaun · · #7186

really?

GregoryGHarding · · #7187

DoSsed

webshaun · · #7188

that’s an issue, right

fattygrub · · #7189

no i am pushing thru +500 everyday making money when prohashing is up

fattygrub · · #7190

I have not not a dime

fattygrub · · #7191

lost a dime

GregoryGHarding · · #7192

@webshaun :  its not a pool issue

webshaun · · #7193

i’m sorry but i have enough experience to know when a hosting service isn’t protected and vulnerable to attack. People are going to move on. I want my coin out and I want to be done with this pool.

GregoryGHarding · · #7194

being DDoSed is an issue, just not a pool issue nor a server issue
