i normally get 0% rejects with these settings

mickeekung · · #6892

and for X11 use a=x11 g=off d=0.1 h=1000

GregoryGHarding · · #6893

ap1318 wrote: guess ill try to mine one coin and see if that helps
You mean solo mining?
you can mine a single coin without going solo, your worker just wont profit switch, u use c=[coin-name]

fattygrub · · #6894

although right now i’m seeing 0.66% rejects

mickeekung · · #6895

OK thanks

ap1318 · · #6896

yeah I tried that Greg. Still got way to many rejections

ap1318 · · #6897

ill add d=8192 h=1000 g=off and see what happens

GregoryGHarding · · #6898

just for reference, on both x11 and scrypt i have 0 reject %

AvPro · · #6899

@ap1318 :  I would not use g & h for your own miner device. You want restarts (g) enabled for your own device to max profit

AvPro · · #6900

try tuning d= . Or see if any other users with your same ASIC come online :)

ap1318 · · #6901

odd I do not know what is causing the rejects then

ap1318 · · #6902

never had an issue before

mrgoldy · · #6903

@ap1318 :  what device are you using to mine?

ap1318 · · #6904

A4 Dominators

n00bminer · · #6905

what is the h=1000?

mickeekung · · #6906

h: sets a minimum network difficulty. When specified, coins with a difficulty lower than the value provided here will never be considered for mining. Low-difficulty coins have unpredictable block times, and therefore limiting coin selection to high-difficulty coins reduces work restart frequency. The minimum value allowed is 0, and the maximum value allowed is 1000. Reducing the number of coins available for mining may negatively impact your profitability with a high work restart penalty if no other miners are able to mine the coins your miner would have mined were this parameter not used. When the "h" parameter is omitted, the mining server optimally computes the coins to assign to your miners. The only reason to use this parameter is when the cloud mining service you are using penalizes you for work restarts above the amount of profit that is actually being lost due to the restarts, as Nicehash does. The "h" parameter reduces your profitability by a small amount to cause the cloud mining service to reduce their penalty by a larger amount. The "h" parameter is incompatible with the "c" parameter and only one or the other may be used simultaneously. If "c" is present, then "h" is ignored.

n00bminer · · #6907

thanks! I do not use either g or h for the A2

mickeekung · · #6908

n00bminer wrote: thanks! I do not use either g or h for the A2
Yeah seems like g and h is only for Nicehash

GregoryGHarding · · #6909

g and h is to help prevent being penalized for quick coin switching as nicehash don't like switching coins too often

GregoryGHarding · · #6910

you can use h= outside nicehash if you dont want prohashing to switch your worker to a low difficulty coin

lunaticcoins · · #6911

WAMP API still seems to be down. Connections are timing out. Did it change ports?

GregoryGHarding · · #6912

wamp api is down as of the issue with service last night.

AvPro · · #6913

It’s not down exactly. There is just not data being broadcast

GregoryGHarding · · #6914

you can check if its wamp or if its you by looking at the forum header. its a wamp issue.

lunaticcoins · · #6915

So wamp is there...just being very introverted.

AvPro · · #6916

Yeah you can connect fine. But some broadcasts are not working (stats, profit and the real time balances)

AvPro · · #6917

I thought it may have changed IP or port after this mornings issues too. But I had a look and that doesn’t and that does not seem to be the case . Could be wrong

GregoryGHarding · · #6918

put a pin in it until steve or chris comes back. ive got it noted

mjgraham · · #6919

I am sure it will work out, I got a decent rate on NH this morning so we will see

mickeekung · · #6920

I hope my balance will not below than my rent price.

AvPro · · #6921

Multipool is having a good day so I think prohash will be too

GregoryGHarding · · #6922

i have a very negative opinion of NH. its gambling, and its blocked with bots that want to make your profit margin so small youre almost guarenteed to lose

GregoryGHarding · · #6923

its a rigged game of chance

mickeekung · · #6924

Yeah I'm not like Nicehash too. However, there is no others option to rent. I can't find.

GregoryGHarding · · #6925

hashflare

GregoryGHarding · · #6926

i use

GregoryGHarding · · #6927

miningrentals

GregoryGHarding · · #6928

@hashflare i have perminant 5mh/s

Forum notification · · #6929

mrgoldy · · #6930

also hashnest, hashing24, genesis mining....I personally have $ in genesis and hashflare, but I prefer hashflare setup the best

fattygrub · · #6931

hashflare doesn’t show any profit stats at site... anyone know what the profits are like at hashflare?

fattygrub · · #6932

hashflare looks sketchy to me .. just sayin

Steve Sokolowski · · #6933

I just checked in for a minute - Chris is getting some sleep but it looks like mining is working fine, there is some sort of WAMP issue caused by the earlier problems, so Chris will investigate

tmopar · · #6934

earnings down for anyone else?

Steve Sokolowski · · #6935

no money is being lost and mining can continue

GregoryGHarding · · #6936

tmopar · · #6937

Steve, so earnings are artificially represented (much higher in reality?) my bar is only showing 7 dollars or so

GregoryGHarding · · #6938

that 1 day at 5mh/s is half day

AvPro · · #6939

Thanks for the update Steve

d2391 · · #6940

How profitable is hashflare? For scrypt it’s $13/MH/s for life, so with an average PH rate of $0.10/MH/s I would make 0.10*60*60*24=$720/day? That cant be right, where am I going wrong?

GregoryGHarding · · #6941

@d2391 :  look at my link below

GregoryGHarding · · #6942

you cant choose prohashing as a pool, they have pesets

GregoryGHarding · · #6943

presets

Nalith · · #6946

I see stats are back on line, now we just need the backlogged shares to come through :)

fattygrub · · #6947

profitability bars back...no updates to earnings yet

fattygrub · · #6948

earnings up

tmopar · · #6949

watch out for those so many hashes for life... usually they mean the life of the piece’s profitability

Nalith · · #6950

Yeah, however still not seeing my earnings for the period when stats were not showing.

fattygrub · · #6951

great now nicehash front end goes down !!

cryptomozzies · · #6952

me neither

cryptomozzies · · #6953

can anyone confirm we will get the earnings from that down period?

fattygrub · · #6954

yes you definitely will by morning

tmopar · · #6955

yes i can say from experience if there is a problem they make it right for hte miners typically, i cant speak for them though

Nalith · · #6956

Really hope so. I see NH is back up and running

cryptomozzies · · #6957

thats reassuring

GregoryGHarding · · #6958

@tmopar :  hashflare reactivate the mining order once it becomes brofitable, it truely does not end, genesis mining ends 60 days after no profit

GregoryGHarding · · #6959

profitable*

Nalith · · #6960

Interesting... Pool reported dead to NH for a few seconds when the earnings data started showing.

GregoryGHarding · · #6961

alls well here

fattygrub · · #6962

aaaaand nicehash goes down again!

mjgraham · · #6963

well it is back up but looks like I lost $400 on my order since 8am not bad I dont guess

GregoryGHarding · · #6964

@fattygrub :  *stretches back* ah, the joys of not gambling

fattygrub · · #6965

got dat right

siberianbreaks · · #6966

The nicehash bot guy is out of control, we need to write down to nh in order to stop this

siberianbreaks · · #6967

other simple thing its to disable the API

tmopar · · #6968

i had that same thought siberian

tmopar · · #6969

but its unlikely... they are profiting from its existence

GregoryGHarding · · #6970

yeah... not gonna happen lol

AvPro · · #6971

late Friday = NH do their weekly price inflation tricks

mickeekung · · #6972

I suppose if I have 1000 dollars and spend all of my money to the cheapest possible fixed rent price. Do you think it is possible that I can get back around 2000 dollars from Prohashing? Anyone try something like this before?

mickeekung · · #6973

from Nicehash

mjgraham · · #6974

your not going to be able to double it I dont think

UPSoft · · #6975

Sounds like a business plan!

tmopar · · #6976

it depends on how long it goes, the stability of PH and then any penalties they incur

mjgraham · · #6977

I hope there is a generous correction of earnings today

CritterDog · · #6978

mjgraham wrote: I hope there is a generous correction of earnings today
Yes me too I am way lite

fattygrub · · #6979

behind on shares here too

lunaticcoins · · #6980

Steve, Chris, what is the preferred way you would like us to report missing shares?

mjgraham · · #6981

Well on the bright side my delta is only a neg 3.6, pretty good

GregoryGHarding · · #6982

contact@prohashing.com

GregoryGHarding · · #6983

why would there be correction? the mining server has been up without issues

fattygrub · · #6984

but while i was mining for the when the stats were down my earnings number never moved....then when it started moved it started from that same old number.

fattygrub · · #6985

that was on NH which the graph show as good shares for three+ hours

GregoryGHarding · · #6986

you guys need to uunerstand. when the database is under load, the share reporting falls behind. when the server is under load, the website does not show accurate stats purposfully. if the share inserter fails to insert shares into the database and crashes, they manually insert the shares.

fattygrub · · #6987

right, but not until later correct?

GregoryGHarding · · #6988

correct

GregoryGHarding · · #6989

no action needed to be taken from you guys

fattygrub · · #6990

right, so after i get my +20% today i hope to see a little sugar on top in the am!! ;-)
