@ GregoryGHarding you obviously lost your lunch at nicehash and don’t have the balls to get over it. Why do you keep promoting other pools at/from this site? the ones you you suggest to other suck big time, i know their worthless. so why do you promote them? do you have even one dollar in your pocket, creep? get off.
everyone don’t waste your time or electricity or dollars on any other pool. you spending time and efforts st crap pools services only the attackers and apparently @ GregoryGHarding .
A backup pool is wise to have. That said, as a primary, there is no better in my experience than Prohashing, and for those considering to use NH together with Prohashing, you can indeed be profitable. The trick is to pick your moment to set the order when prices have dipped to an acceptable low, and to use the best set of PW arguments that limit the fast coin switching to that sweet spot where you have less NH penalties, but still take advantage of the Prohashing algorithm. Anyone wishing to discuss best PW arguments can PM me.
which backup pool? for a miner that owns equipment or a renter? they are all terrible! i suspect that why we are being ddos’d. do not waste your time or electricity or efforts.
FRISKIE is right, but Nicehash has one major problem: you can’t set a backup pool when placing a hashing power order. Were that possible, I’d use Prohashing for the primary, and Litecoinpool.org for the backup (I do that with my ASICs actually).
also I’d never suggest multipool.us because (when I last used them), you had to manually deal with linking dozens of coins to Cryptsy for cashing out. Screw that.
there is only one. that is here. this one is the only very best. that is why we’re down. the european pools still hold the highest volumes. they are threatened by americans with better service, better language, better support, higher profits for ALL, computing power, and open-ness. look at all those pools..why don’t they have the balls to say who they are. only these guys do. look it up. find one and i’ll send you some btc.
ran some tests with miningpoolhub last few days as a safety pool. Have not tried their coin changing thing, but the straight pools work well. Due to pplns confirmed coins may be slow to appear.
Nobody is using zpool.ca? I have this pool no as my first, but earlier as backup-pool. They make auto payouts every 12 hours. Always worked. Scrypt is interesting, Qubit and Quark and X11 as well

i dont promote other pools, i always say have a backup, having a baskup isnt promotion, and no, ive spend zero dollars on NH and will remain that way
i agree we dont need to attack each other, i used to use multipool but after you use this pool everything else is a lot harder to use, I hope they get it back soon, I do notice NH fixed rates are out the roof today so something is doing well
Spent the afternoon looking for alternative Scrypt pools to point too... nothing as good as this place! Keep us posted how the mitigation is going - eagerly waiting to connect as soon as we’re online (Y)
@AvPro Prohashing is my life and my life is prohashing. If someday prohashing close forever,I'll quit from Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency too. Because there is no website can replace Prohashing. Forever.
I agree this place is the best and I am sure that is why it is being attacked, this puts me back of the days of building coin wallets to mine against and building pools and etc, all the stuff they do behind the scenes for us, it is going to be better than ever I am sure.
Exactly - the attacks expose a vulnerability and the countermeasures bring the system back stronger than ever. Knowing that the attackers surely read the forums for clues , I'm just proud to see all the supportive messages from a community that shows no signs of going anywhere else than Prohashing!
What makes me want to laugh is that these fools lost way more money in hiring these botnets than any of us lost in mining profits during the outage. I sincerely hope that when the dust settles, Steve & Chris will not have lost too much either, and that the hardened site and new DDoS protection layers will have made it all more than worth it.
Steve I know you have a bad history on Reddit, but I’d like to note my support for opening the Prohashing subreddit as a backup for when the forum goes down.
I think there was an L3 frenzy over the weekend because they were instock on Friday @ ~1500USD which is a 35 day ROI at best. Looks like all going. Yeah teh Innosilicon A4 is still in stock but 250mhash
