56.5 mh/s ... 15.7 kw/h how many watts does your gpu use while mining?

smace77 · · #99326

how can i check that?

Sumoblei · · #99327

Yea at 100 watts you would be profiting 2.54 a day and elec cost would be .33 cents per day... you wil see your wattage use when you start mining

Sumoblei · · #99328

at 100 watts that would cost .33 per day mining eth

smace77 · · #99329

im gonna look into settings/undervolting rn

Sumoblei · · #99330

.157 cents per day... not 15.7

Sumoblei · · #99331

Sumoblei · · #99332

ETH mini mini Happy Hour! lmao

-MaVerick- · · #99333

hmm something is funky with my randomX mining...after 1-2h it drops hard to less than 1kH/s. The only thing changed here was a windows update forced upon me yesterday

-MaVerick- · · #99334

anyone else noticed something like that?

smace77 · · #99335

i keep getting miner terminated, watchdog will restart process after 10 seconds. how can i fix this?

smace77 · · #99336

now saying port not specified?

-MaVerick- · · #99337

post your command line and maybe we can help

smace77 · · #99338

the >miner.exe command line?

-MaVerick- · · #99339

you are using gminer, right?`what did you put in one of those bat files?

smace77 · · #99340

gminer_2_70_windows64

smace77 · · #99341

miner.exe --algo ethash --server prohashing.com:3339 --user [left blank] --pass a=ethash,n=firstminer pause

smace77 · · #99342

didn’t include user for security lol

-MaVerick- · · #99343

looks good, do you have any anti virus software or firewall interfering with the software?

-MaVerick- · · #99344

also giving the miner exe admin privileges could help

smace77 · · #99345

when i run as admin it says its not recognized as an internal or external command

smace77 · · #99346

i turned off all firewalls

-MaVerick- · · #99347

give the exe admin rights via right click, properties, compatibility and start it via bat file

-MaVerick- · · #99348

cant hurt to try

smace77 · · #99349

just "miner"? or "mine_eth"

-MaVerick- · · #99350

miner.exe for right, start via bat file

smace77 · · #99351

when i get to compatibility i cant choose to start via bat file

-MaVerick- · · #99352

umm...you just set the checkbox there for admin rights and thats it with the exe. You start your miner with the bat file with the command line inside

smace77 · · #99353

oh shittt we got it

smace77 · · #99354

tyty

smace77 · · #99355

so how can i calculate how much power ill be using?

-MaVerick- · · #99356

oldschool math. gminer shows you how much power your GPU is eating and from there on you can calculate

-MaVerick- · · #99357

or just google and let the internet do the work for you

smace77 · · #99358

ok, it’s brand new so might take a bit to populate

smace77 · · #99359

is 51.25 mh/s, 16 shares, at ~89 W good?

-MaVerick- · · #99360

let it run for an hour or so, gminer gives you an average of power consumtion and it might go down or up a little

smace77 · · #99361

cool

-MaVerick- · · #99362

but to give you a perspective, with my semi locked 3060TI I can reach about 40MH/s with 100W

smace77 · · #99363

so mine is p good

-MaVerick- · · #99364

yep, AMD is not screwing its customers yet with those artificial mining locks like Nvidia does. If you can get your hands on one of those cards of course

smace77 · · #99365

i have a 5700xt

smace77 · · #99366

what sucks is my kw/h is so high. 12.5 cents

smace77 · · #99367

my cmd prompt says im getting 51.34 mh/s but my dashboard says 44.74 mh/s

-MaVerick- · · #99368

if you think thats high, never move to germany

smace77 · · #99369

lol

smace77 · · #99370

apparently its lower than the national average

-MaVerick- · · #99371

the dashboard uses a different calculations, using the shares you made in a timeframe. It will come close to the numbers gminer tells you with time

smace77 · · #99372

gotcha

smace77 · · #99373

after 1 month of mining ill have enough to do 1 transaction on ETH!

smace77 · · #99374

so after 46 minutes ive used 0.070 kw/h

smace77 · · #99375

average share/minute is 3.04

smace77 · · #99376

and the dashboard says 45.519 MH/s

smace77 · · #99377

and ive made .10 cents lol

smace77 · · #99378

how is that

Alynn · · #99379

Motherboard is in early. Accidently bought a 1060 for more than I wanted to pay, but oh well. I guess Saturday it’s time to replace the motherboard I just replaced with this new replacement.

Alynn · · #99380

Mining is a marathon not a sprint.

smace77 · · #99381

agreed, just want to be optimized

Dr Greg · · #99382

Dear Steve. LOVE the network upgrade!!. I was getting crap ping time and a lot of stales but after last night everything is now flying. One request, could one of you PLEASE update your config profiles in RAVEOS, It has to be done by the service provider (Prohashing) ,its very old and has several algo’s and coins you no longer support like the original cryptonight, and the original also for Ravencoin, If you try to mine Neoscrypt it list several miner that no longer exist, you also cant mine ETC with it, you get an auto select for ethereum and no matter what you do it wont take to doing ETC. It use it as to control all my rigs and its darn good software , lowered my power bill 50% a month and it does away with windows. On the neo script front even the old CLaymore Neo miner works on windows and im sure their was a linux version. I pay a whole $2 a month per rig , its worth ten times that as it ups my hash rate a fair bit and lower my powerbill. I would be willing to pay prohashing to update your profiles

Dr Greg · · #99383

Also if you have an up to date set of profiles in another rig manager , like Hiveos, miner stat, rigos , etc I would consider changing from ravos, im just sick to death of windows and a linux rig manager was life changing

Dr Greg · · #99384

just found CpuMiner-Opt has linux support for almost everything. , there are a number of other pre compiler linux builds that support neo scrypt. I have no interest in awesome miner as its windows only, the only linux support is for remote monitoring . Im looking for a complete piece of linux monitoring software. I do prefer RAVOS but im open to suggestions if anyone know of anything else that has a complete linux set of profiles for prohashing

BMChris · · #99385

Woooo I got my trading bot working! And it’s way better at it than I am ^_^

-MaVerick- · · #99386

hmmm interesting. Is that bot for the GPU drops at AMD/Nvidia or more for ebay?

BMChris · · #99387

No for buying and selling on Binance to try and turn a profit. I’ve tried doing it a bit on Stormgain as they have a faucet so it doesn’t really matter if I mess it up but I’m really bad at it.

BMChris · · #99388

I’ve found a thing where you can connect a bot to your account and it’ll buy and sell for you

BMChris · · #99389

It currently makes more per day than my GPU mining (which is literally just my gaming PC running while I’m at work) so I’m happy ^_^

-MaVerick- · · #99390

that does sound interesting indeed. I’ll take a look at that after my shift, thx for the info

BMChris · · #99391

3Commas is the thing I used for the bot, you can connect it to a bunch of different exchanges (although no Coinbase yet sadly)

Sarah recently issued a pull request to the HiveOS developers with our settings, and it was merged. Feel free to talk to her if you have any problems running it!

Did this show up for you?

BMChris wrote: I’ve found a thing where you can connect a bot to your account and it’ll buy and sell for you
Only for binance or will it work on bittrex also?

BMChris · · #99395

Yeah, looks like they support Bittrex

BMChris · · #99396

https://3commas.io/

Sumoblei · · #99397

Woot... my next project! I’m on it!

Sumoblei · · #99398

Ty Sir!

BMChris · · #99399

No problem ^_^

sonicrules · · #99400

I was thinking of writing an exchange bot for coinbase, but it seems it’s impossible to calculate exact prices

sonicrules · · #99401

Hm, looking at 3commas.io, I see "Multi-level referral program", which is basically another word for pyramid scheme

sonicrules · · #99402

I haven’t done any research into 3commas, but those words are usually a red flag

BMChris · · #99403

Where’s that?

sonicrules · · #99404

BMChris · · #99405

Looks like you can get free stuff if you give people a referral code. The only thing I’ve posted was a link to the main site with no referral code :)

sonicrules · · #99406

No, I wasn’t accusing you of spreading a pyramid scheme. I was just saying the words "Multi-level referral program" are usually a red flag for one. :)

BMChris · · #99407

aha lol :)

BMChris · · #99408

I’ve been using the free plan for about a week and it’s not asked for money

sonicrules · · #99409

interesting

BMChris · · #99410

You can pay a subscription to run more than one bot, but the one I’m using seems fine so I’m not going to change that

sonicrules · · #99411

I’d rather wite my own bot than rely on someone elses

sonicrules · · #99412

*write

BMChris · · #99413

Looks like you can wrote your own bots and charge people to use them, and pay to use other people’s

BMChris · · #99414

But there are loads of free ones

sonicrules · · #99415

Any open source ones?

BMChris · · #99416

dunno, not really looked

sonicrules · · #99417

Guess I’ll have to search it then

BMChris · · #99418

Looking at the bot settings, there are some json messages you can send their API to get it to do stuff so presumably you can run your own code to send those to their API

Forum notification · · #99419

Sumoblei · · #99420

It seems most of their free bots dont support Bittrex, but I guess you can make your own like BMChris said

Sumoblei · · #99421

Alrighty then Bittrex sux for bot trading using 3commas.... I need some ideas :P

BMChris · · #99422

Move it all to Binance lol

Sumoblei · · #99423

Wonder what that’ll cost

Jakebarbour23 · · #99424

Does anything need to be done with miners for the Doge 1.14.4 update?
