before I ripped out the inside of my pc to get that ryzen going it was a little more stable, now it likes to fluctuate a little more between 23,3-23,7. Rock solid before, just very touchy when it comes to temperatures

-MaVerick- · · #98132

dunno if its because if the randomx mining now or the new psu, numbers are still good so whatevs

GunMuse · · #98133

I underclock all GPU’s it has to do with error rate. You need correct math not bad math faster. so like my rx590 factory is 1580mhz to get 31 mh/s on eth 1050 mhz

GunMuse · · #98134

under volting a graphics card makes is LAST longer running high mv that you don’t need just wears the silcon junctions out so turn that down as much as possible trial and error on every card.

-MaVerick- · · #98135

gotta admin, I have no idea about the math behind it, but when trying to underclock the 1060 like the 3060 numbers were really bad, so I went up with core step by step

-MaVerick- · · #98136

*admit

GunMuse · · #98137

with the heat saving you get from those 2 tunes you can then inch your memory speed up to max and stable. then i suggest backing off 5% for room temp fluc.

GunMuse · · #98138

putting together howtos on this casue most of the "gamers" tweaks are bad for mining . Mining is actually EASIER on a card than gaming you wouldn’t know that by the markets language.

GunMuse · · #98139

exception being raven coin its a graphics card abuser

-MaVerick- · · #98140

if you happen to have a guide by your hand Ill gladly try to read myself more into it. This time I just went with examples from the great wide internet

GunMuse · · #98141

https://idletools.com tuning video i shot but not edited yet. its coming

-MaVerick- · · #98142

oh btw, with the games, you are absolutely right. Try out Cities Skylines with my savegame and your PC will wish for mining

GunMuse · · #98143

processing the coin swap feature of prohasing video right now to fund a trade account

GunMuse · · #98144

having been tyring to find out what the deal with XMR is can’t connect to pool

-MaVerick- · · #98145

my ryzen is happily at it right now, a routing issue on your side maybe?

GunMuse · · #98146

can reach other pools and i am doing eth and sha256 off same router pretty sure its not on my end

-MaVerick- · · #98147

did you try out the european server for a test?

GunMuse · · #98148

yup

GunMuse · · #98149

get the NET error

-MaVerick- · · #98150

hmm that strongly points to your end somewhere

GunMuse · · #98151

not sure why only one miner on same rig would have a unique net error

GunMuse · · #98152

plus i have other boxes through same connections

-MaVerick- · · #98153

since going for randomx again now I also got some weird issues with internet connections, but only on specific programs

-MaVerick- · · #98154

restart usually fixes that temporarily, so I’d suggest a reboot,

GunMuse · · #98155

same error on windows or hiveos setup from 2 different rigs

-MaVerick- · · #98156

hmm okay, but you haven’t touched your router yet, right?

GunMuse · · #98157

no and its hashing away on other rigs just peachy

GunMuse · · #98158

all to prohashing so i know i can reach the server it has to be a port issue

-MaVerick- · · #98159

that is some weird issue you got there

GunMuse · · #98160

Net gives url and says end of file

-MaVerick- · · #98161

sounds like a good story for a support ticket, don’t you think?

GunMuse · · #98162

I like to resolve if i done somthing stupid before i share that stupidity with others

GunMuse · · #98163

but just swapping configs to another pool software works

-MaVerick- · · #98164

well if it helps you, I do stupid stuff all the time

-MaVerick- · · #98165

got used to it :D

Alynn · · #98166

have we announced the announcement?

-MaVerick- · · #98167

One got announced, if that was one of the annoucement to be accounced today. So there is one announcement left.

-MaVerick- · · #98168

Steve likes to tease us, just like the hot tube corner of twitch. Only for miners

Alynn · · #98169

So we announced the announcement but we haven’t yet announced that announcement that was previously announced.

-MaVerick- · · #98170

Exactly

-MaVerick- · · #98171

ethash happy hour!

Steve Sokolowski · · #98172

Alynn wrote: So we announced the announcement but we haven’t yet announced that announcement that was previously announced.
Oops - we were delayed. We’ll post tomorrow!

josep01972 · · #98173

does anyone know what the OC sweetspot is for a DELL OEM gtx 1060 card? I can’t seem to break 19 MH/s. Maybe that’s the limit?

sonicrules · · #98174

How is ethash so profitable right now?

-MaVerick- · · #98175

holy moly

-MaVerick- · · #98176

happy hour round 2!

-MaVerick- · · #98177

sometimes you dont ask why, you just enjoy it. This is one of those times

-MaVerick- · · #98178

reminds me of the good old days I started with this whole mining thing...~3 month ago

sonicrules · · #98179

Yeah, before Elon Musk announced that he would stop accepting bitcoin

-MaVerick- · · #98182

psst, we don’t speak about the dark days anymore...2,5 month ago

sonicrules · · #98183

It just keeps going up

sonicrules · · #98184

It’s not just ethash either

Alynn · · #98185

Yes Ethash. It’s a 6gb card. I underclocked the core clock and memory clock to the max allowed by MSI Afterburner. About -500 or so for each.
Did not apply to my cards. I have micro and samsung. Best I get is 21 and 19
I am now up to 22.6 and 20... the biggest problem is that the DELL OEM runs hot... I can get it to mine close to 23, but at 85C so no thanks...

-MaVerick- · · #98195

a single fan card if the internet pictures are right...yeah thats a tricky one

HashAway · · #98196

checking

-MaVerick- · · #98197

are I say it? Looks like happy hour for ethash again

I’m thinking maybe the thermal paste needs to be redone.

-MaVerick- · · #98200

how much watt are you giving her?

sonicrules · · #98201

So when are we going to see that second announcement?

josep01972 · · #98202

-MaVerick- wrote: how much watt are you giving her?
That’s the thing. It is running at 80W ATM, but gets as high as 76C

-MaVerick- · · #98203

whats your fan running at?

-MaVerick- · · #98204

also still waiting for that announcement btw and we still don’t know if that what has been announced was one of the announced announcement or not.

sonicrules · · #98205

True

josep01972 · · #98206

-MaVerick- wrote: whats your fan running at?
100%

-MaVerick- · · #98207

oh, okay. Is one fan really that bad compared to two?

-MaVerick- · · #98208

your card is pretty much the same as mine, just 1 fan more

-MaVerick- · · #98209

runnig at 80-84W and 60°C

-MaVerick- · · #98210

with fan at 80%

-MaVerick- · · #98211

I do have 4 120mm installed recently though but mostly because that ryzen 9 is one hot son of a cpu

josep01972 · · #98212

-MaVerick- wrote: your card is pretty much the same as mine, just 1 fan more
I think I might 1 fan less...Kinda looks like a Founders Edition...

josep01972 · · #98213

-MaVerick- wrote: oh, okay. Is one fan really that bad compared to two?
Yes, but they are not the same. One is a Dell OEM and the other a Zotac mini.

Banished_Privateer · · #98214

2 admins online, I’m jacked to the tits

Banished_Privateer · · #98215

steve_empire · · #98217

Did something change with the Scrypt Algo? My Gridseed Orb hasn’t had an accepted share for 2 days now. It doesn’t really make any money but it was cool to watch it mine...

solarminer · · #98218

Announcement.....Crickets

solarminer · · #98219

Did we find a BTC block in pplns and you’re keeping it a secret :)

Alynn · · #98220

So, are we delaying that announcement again? Or do we have to announce that we are postponing the announcement.

solarminer · · #98221

Alynn wrote: So, are we delaying that announcement again? Or do we have to announce that we are postponing the announcement.
Oh well, back to tending my yield farm ;0

-MaVerick- · · #98222

Banished_Privateer · · #98225

Prohashing is developing new game, Cryptopunk 2077 (delays to be expected)

Banished_Privateer · · #98226

-MaVerick- · · #98229

I’d preorder that!

josep01972 · · #98230

I still don’t understand why the payout threshold for ETH is so high. I get that it is related to transaction fees, but can someone be more specific? ItIt’s higher than BTC

josep01972 · · #98231

The free payout threshold is 200 times the average transaction fee for the network. Our target is to limit losses due to customer payouts to 12.5% of our profit, which is what happens with that value.
