yes, restart delay does. but we have no control
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:39 PM UTC · #42813
im in pittsburgh, the servers is in philly
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:39 PM UTC · #42814
so not a lot of hops to get there, like 8 i think
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:40 PM UTC · #42815
i was seeing 200 stale/rejected for 2 hours
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:40 PM UTC · #42816
48 is not bad, it was like 50 for me, but now it is 46 for me
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:40 PM UTC · #42817
so I split all the machines up to seperate accounts so I could see them apart
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:40 PM UTC · #42818
and started to try and underclock them to see if I could get rid of stales
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:41 PM UTC · #42819
i have seperate accounts to test difficulties, basically not much differences
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:41 PM UTC · #42820
was hoping 480 at 100% was better than 500 at 90%. 10% of 500 is 50, so which do I want 480 or 450?
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:42 PM UTC · #42821
I think the correct answer for now, sadly, is to move over to NH, get credit for all 500 I send them, and have the person buying the hash power deal with the stales on this site when they use my hash power.
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:42 PM UTC · #42822
haha, interesting, the less is more
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:42 PM UTC · #42823
i have 3 l3+, always have 1 pointed at nh
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:43 PM UTC · #42824
nh seldom has rejected shares
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:43 PM UTC · #42825
how are the payouts there vs here for the past few days?
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:43 PM UTC · #42826
i wouldnt expect them to, I believe they give you credit for what you send to them
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:43 PM UTC · #42827
I think it was good, except today, the btc is down
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:43 PM UTC · #42828
the stales are on HERE, so them using the hash here means they have to deal with the dead stales.
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:44 PM UTC · #42829
it is also weired on NH, some time the hashrate is 100, sometime is 1000
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:45 PM UTC · #42830
eventhrough there is no rejections
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:45 PM UTC · #42831
i think when the miners get sent to another pool, they have to restart back up?
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:45 PM UTC · #42832
not sure how nh works, but the average payout is good
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:46 PM UTC · #42833
but I like payout in ltc, it is fast
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:46 PM UTC · #42834
so as long as its on the same pool it speeds up to max, when that contract is over and someone moves it to another pool, it restarts there.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:46 PM UTC · #42835
yeah but not if Im leaving 15-20-25 percent sitting on the table compared to another palce.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:46 PM UTC · #42836
if they are both the same for the same 500 id stay here
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:47 PM UTC · #42838
if I can get 10% more someplace elese, Ill mine there
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:47 PM UTC · #42840
I like the interface here
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:47 PM UTC · #42841
it has better informaton
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:48 PM UTC · #42842
I like the interface on my wallet more, and even more when its 10% higher.
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:48 PM UTC · #42844
@AppleMiner : </strong>
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:48 PM UTC · #42845
i sit on their interface as much as I sit on PH one here TBH.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:48 PM UTC · #42846
i sit on the chat channel more , look at the interface 3 or 4 times a day if that
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:49 PM UTC · #42847
i will say, one nice feature i wish we had, mining-dutch sends you out email each day with average hashrates, and payout for that day.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:50 PM UTC · #42848
i know email protection minor miners, and issues for US businesses. Just one advantage or running it outside.
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:50 PM UTC · #42849
Dalu, any insight on a good difficulty for an L3+ reduce stale shares?
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:51 PM UTC · #42850
I switched over to no D= setting and let the pool set it
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:52 PM UTC · #42851
@DuncanBoaz : not really, I tested 16384 to 131072, it seems the higher is slight better
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:52 PM UTC · #42852
but higher D hashrate flucuate more
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:55 PM UTC · #42853
I’ve been set to 262144 for over a week now.
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:56 PM UTC · #42854
Oh well. I guess I’ll just go back to ignoring all of it an enjoying my life. xP
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:56 PM UTC · #42855
@DuncanBoaz : really? how is 262144 on profit wise?
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:56 PM UTC · #42856
I have not tested it yet
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:56 PM UTC · #42857
thought it is kind of too high
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:58 PM UTC · #42858
I tested 131 and no setting, and was getting higher payouts with no D= set at all, so I just dropped it.
dalu · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:59 PM UTC · #42859
@AppleMiner : </strong> that is good
Maxiimos · Tue Oct 24, 2017 10:59 PM UTC · #42861
how does this even happen
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:01 PM UTC · #42865
Mines at like 82%. Thats why I was concerned Maximos.
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:02 PM UTC · #42866
And we JUST switched internet here for 2x the speed Up/Down.... So I know it’s not a ping and latency issue on my end.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:02 PM UTC · #42867
so your 500 hash miner is getting credit for 400
Maxiimos · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:02 PM UTC · #42868
mines getting credit for 300
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:04 PM UTC · #42869
They usually distribute credits for these things though.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:04 PM UTC · #42871
if the hashes or shares werent being recorded they might
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:04 PM UTC · #42872
The set and forget mentality for me always works better than the micromanage everything mentality
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:04 PM UTC · #42873
them just being low or off, prolly not
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:05 PM UTC · #42874
they havent the past 3 days now
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:09 PM UTC · #42875
I don’t think my earnings have really been affected much the last 3 days lol
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:11 PM UTC · #42876
Golly, I just noticed there are 3k+ more workers on here since I stopped paying attention a like a week+ ago.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:11 PM UTC · #42878
my earnings arent anything I look at, I look at the number of coins Im getting
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:12 PM UTC · #42879
i used to be getting .33 per miner
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:13 PM UTC · #42882
The fluctuation of Fiat doesn’t mean much to me in regards to the LTC/ETH to BTC Satoshi’s. I only try to look at Coin now. Dollars are for Travel, Food, Rent, and Utilities
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:14 PM UTC · #42883
you are after the ratio of 1 to the other
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:14 PM UTC · #42884
im just after highest coin percents
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:15 PM UTC · #42885
They all Tether to BTC in the end. So I’ve tried to shift my accounting to Satoshi’s. Do you have a better more actual way in this market?
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:16 PM UTC · #42887
having a base unit to compare
DuncanBoaz · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:16 PM UTC · #42888
I’m new to Crypto by relativity. So I’m still figuring these things out....
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:18 PM UTC · #42889
Satoishis are good if you are trying to figure, how many BTC satoshis on NH give me how many more satoshis on prohash
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:18 PM UTC · #42890
if you can spend 1 BTC on NH and mine here and get 1.1 BTC then its a win.
Ewil · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:21 PM UTC · #42891
@AppleMiner : </strong> do you know anyone successfully doing that? Sounds messy with how PH is bouncing up & down lately
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:22 PM UTC · #42892
saw lots trying it, but after they fixed the payouts, not sure they were able to pull off the same level of adtvantages
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:23 PM UTC · #42893
they used to get like double merged mining so it was more worth it, after that correction some people actually saw losses and I think they stopped.
Ewil · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:23 PM UTC · #42894
What’s double merged mining? I’ve heard the term but haven’t understood it.
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:24 PM UTC · #42895
they were getting 2X more of the side action then they were supposed to
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:24 PM UTC · #42896
instead of getting .01, they were getting .02
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:25 PM UTC · #42898
they found the mistake and turned it off, the payment went back to what it was advertised at, and people who didnt read
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:25 PM UTC · #42899
and were getting extra 500$ a day kept trying it for a few more days, complained they didnt get their payout like last week
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:25 PM UTC · #42900
saw the update issued and correction and they shuoldnt have been getting as much in the first place.
Ewil · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:26 PM UTC · #42901
lol did this only work for 1btc orders? Or was it any fractional orders?
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:26 PM UTC · #42902
I think it was any solo mining
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:26 PM UTC · #42903
not just NH rentals, if you had solo mining on, you were getting more than you should have
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:26 PM UTC · #42904
or was it static pool mining
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:27 PM UTC · #42905
was something with static coins, cant rmember if was pool or solo mining, remember it was static coin related somehow.
Ewil · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:27 PM UTC · #42906
ah. I’m only running a D3, so of course I won’t solo that thing lol. Block solve time is like, 12+ days now? Or did it push 15 days?
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:27 PM UTC · #42907
whats a block reward for a dash?
AppleMiner · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:28 PM UTC · #42908
if you solo find the block, whats that pay?
Ewil · Tue Oct 24, 2017 11:33 PM UTC · #42909
I think 1.81 dash per block? I think I read it’s around $1k exchange value
