Do you understand this: Once set, never change a worker’s name, and never assign a new worker an existing worker’s name. Doing so will not affect your earnings, but it will result in inaccurate data being reported when the display for this data is completed in the future.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:04 AM UTC · #42093
and you set both as password n=miner
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:04 AM UTC · #42095
the 2nd one will have a duplicated name
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:04 AM UTC · #42096
and will be assigned some random name.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:04 AM UTC · #42097
thats what that error is for
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:04 AM UTC · #42098
if you only have 1 miner it should never be an issue for you
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:05 AM UTC · #42099
but even for 1 it says : never change a worker’s name
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:06 AM UTC · #42101
well, I had n=sm_30 (dalu told me to just have: n=sm30)
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:07 AM UTC · #42102
that's it, you've gone and broken the internet now by changing the worker name, GOOD JOB!
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:07 AM UTC · #42103
removing the _ might help in something, i don’t know. I am going by what the experts say here
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:08 AM UTC · #42104
trust us, we are not experts, anyone claiming to be is lying to you
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:08 AM UTC · #42105
everyone here is exactly where you are now just a few months earlier.
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:08 AM UTC · #42106
so, i should remove the _ or keep it?
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:09 AM UTC · #42107
up to you, its your miner and its your choice on name
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:11 AM UTC · #42110
ok. since putting an _ or symbols won’t affect earnings or anyhting i will keep it
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:11 AM UTC · #42111
as this will help to differentiate my name on the pool
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:11 AM UTC · #42112
only you can see your worker names
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:12 AM UTC · #42113
no one else on the pool will see them
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:14 AM UTC · #42115
when I click on save & apply. I see the antminer system tab shows: Socket connect failed: Connection refused
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:14 AM UTC · #42117
until it is done rebooting it cant make a connection to the internet
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:15 AM UTC · #42119
in a minute or so that screen will upate with new info
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:17 AM UTC · #42121
I see that we are better with n setup
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:17 AM UTC · #42122
How to accomplish specific goals: To earn as much money as possible: Use no password arguments other than the "n=" argument, which specifies a worker name. The mining software contains a lot of code to detect miner settings and can usually do a better job at optimizing mining than a human can.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:18 AM UTC · #42124
they say a lot of things on the internet, i dont take much of it at face value.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:19 AM UTC · #42126
for 30 years they told me pluto was a planet and I beleived them.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:19 AM UTC · #42130
it's a real micky mouse kind of a planet.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:20 AM UTC · #42133
pluto...micky mouse's dog....oh god why do i bother.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:21 AM UTC · #42134
that was my best...and frankly ONLY..pluto planet joke
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:22 AM UTC · #42137
thos micky mouse talk too much
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:23 AM UTC · #42138
so the miner is all set and going
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:23 AM UTC · #42139
do you have your wallet all picked out
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:23 AM UTC · #42140
and the address put in so you can get your payments sent out to you?
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:25 AM UTC · #42141
i use the same address from coinbase
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:26 AM UTC · #42143
i am tinking of buying the keepkey
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:28 AM UTC · #42146
hope you make enough to use it.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:29 AM UTC · #42148
a few exchanges, coinbase, and exodus
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:31 AM UTC · #42150
doesnt cost me anything to store it there
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:31 AM UTC · #42151
and really, to convert it form 1 coin to another on there, not that high of fees really at all
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:32 AM UTC · #42152
but when sending or receiving they charge you fees, no?
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:32 AM UTC · #42154
like anytime you move coins out of a wallet
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:33 AM UTC · #42155
and usually the sender pays
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:33 AM UTC · #42156
so from payout here to me there, pool pays, well we charged 5% fee so really, we pay
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:34 AM UTC · #42158
if 1 place charged you to store your cash there
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:34 AM UTC · #42159
do you set up your payout also in bitcoins on prohashing?
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:34 AM UTC · #42160
and another place didnt, would anyone use the place that charges?
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:35 AM UTC · #42162
getting you to store your money there gives them a better change of making up some fee money if you do a conversion on their wallet exchange
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:35 AM UTC · #42163
and NO i dont do BTC payouts
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:35 AM UTC · #42164
it takes to long to hit the threshold to be able to get them without having to pay
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:35 AM UTC · #42165
i use LTC so i can get a daily payout
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:36 AM UTC · #42166
BTC you have to get like 400 or 500 in your account before it will transfer for free
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:36 AM UTC · #42167
if you set it lower to get payed out in less, there is a fee to transfer that
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:36 AM UTC · #42168
so i use lower coins so i dont have to wait to get the no fee limits
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:37 AM UTC · #42169
make sense. i use litcoins and dogecoins payouts
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:39 AM UTC · #42172
when the LTC went from dirt up to $10
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:39 AM UTC · #42173
i started to look around to see what other coins I had collected.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:39 AM UTC · #42174
2.1 MILLION dogecoins from the merged mining of 3 years.
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:40 AM UTC · #42177
i sold them off at a pretty high point for the coins
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:41 AM UTC · #42180
covered electricty for 3 years anyhow
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:42 AM UTC · #42183
and you earned them mining here on ph?
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:42 AM UTC · #42184
no before i came over to PH
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:43 AM UTC · #42185
not even sure PH was around then
solidnetmoney · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:44 AM UTC · #42186
yeah, you’ve been there long enough
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:45 AM UTC · #42187
back in those days you could just set a miner and leave it for a year
AppleMiner · Fri Oct 20, 2017 05:45 AM UTC · #42188
i walked by,m if the status said it was conencted to the Ip and mining and showed hashes, I walked past it
