hmmm yea i dont know why im having issues nothing has changed for me
mvcatt · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:20 AM UTC · #40575
its just odd it will connect to my backup pools
blh1976 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:20 AM UTC · #40576
usually takes 5-10 minutes after disconnecting to reconnect.
dog1965 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:21 AM UTC · #40577
@mvcatt : thats because ph sucks!
mvcatt · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:21 AM UTC · #40578
you have a good alternative?
mvcatt · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:26 AM UTC · #40580
what are the dailies like on there for an l3+
blh1976 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:26 AM UTC · #40581
zpool and nicehash are my backups
mvcatt · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:27 AM UTC · #40582
ive just had this as primary and lcp as backup since i started liked 2.5 months ago
blh1976 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:27 AM UTC · #40583
They all differ a little bit. I have the best luck with prohashing

If you are into getting a large assortment of coins to move into all your wallets and sit on them, mining dutch is nice also just for that
mvcatt · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:30 AM UTC · #40586
yea ideally id like to keep using this but i just keep getting dead for my status and dont know why
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:30 AM UTC · #40587
if you dont auto convert them to BTC LTC or BCC or whatever, can just keep the coins and wallet them up
dog1965 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:30 AM UTC · #40588

id like to restart at some point but ive been on the pool for 3 days
dog1965 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #40592
solo mining cant connect at all lol.
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #40593
so until the server comes down to fix it, it can stay connected and keep working
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #40594
would also depend on the coin
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #40595
which coin cant you conenct in on ?
dog1965 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #40596
DONT RESTART YOU WILL BE DOOMED!!!!
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:32 AM UTC · #40598
The ETH fork brings zksnarks to ETH which is what gives XMR and ZCash most of their value so I think that among the other updates to ETH is very positive for the price... $400 very soon
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:33 AM UTC · #40599
most people view hardforks as a negative it may impact the price
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:33 AM UTC · #40600
ETH believes hard forks are needed to fix mistakes and expand
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:33 AM UTC · #40601
they hate the soft fork methods that other coins use to fix problems
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:34 AM UTC · #40604
Most updates require hard forks
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:34 AM UTC · #40606

has nothing to do with how its mined.
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:35 AM UTC · #40609
The btc Civil war makes hard fork sound worse than they are but they are required to advance any blockchain
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:36 AM UTC · #40610
which is why most bugs are software edition changes and not a major revision change
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:36 AM UTC · #40611
but this ETH setups for double amount of transactions on a block?

doesnt matter they claim to be a reseller and bitmain doesnt support any resellers.

go hit up some random forum that isnt in the know maybe some of them will bite, we have ours.

The ETH updates allowsfor a faster network by delaying the ice age which will bring block times back to 14-15s. It’s avg 31s now
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:41 AM UTC · #40623
The ETH block reward is being reduced from 5 to 3
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:41 AM UTC · #40624
hopefully faster transactions means more value

when is the LTC half in july 2018?
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:42 AM UTC · #40629
In a way. Actually more ETH will be created per min after the HF than now. Currently 5*31s is 10eth per min. After HF 3*15s is 12eth per min. Roughly
mvcatt · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:42 AM UTC · #40630
any thoughts on picking up another l3+ from bitmain is it even worth it at this point?
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:43 AM UTC · #40631
But the hf is needed as some blocks are taking 3m to solve,
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:43 AM UTC · #40632
until the times get back up to 31s in another month
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:44 AM UTC · #40633
No the ice age has been put off for a year
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:45 AM UTC · #40634
ETH miner can expect about 20% more ETH after the hf compared to now despite the block reward reduction
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:46 AM UTC · #40635
I wouldnt buy another l3+ unless I could get in less than a week at 1.5-2k
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:46 AM UTC · #40636
It’s profiability has declined Soooo much
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:47 AM UTC · #40637
and will do so some more in the next month as more batches roll out.
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:47 AM UTC · #40638
Got 6 ETH Rigs but 30 more GPUS, gonna nuildmore rigs
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:48 AM UTC · #40639
i didnt like the ROI on the GPU rigs I was looking at.
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:48 AM UTC · #40641
could build it yourself for half, IF you could find any cards in stock
mvcatt · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:48 AM UTC · #40643
yea its declined a lot in the time since ive gotten mine ill make some profit but itll take longer probably would have been better of just buying coins
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:48 AM UTC · #40644
Send me your ETH at Rexmint.eth
lol
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:50 AM UTC · #40645
Yeah I built my own rigs
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:50 AM UTC · #40646
Just got about 30more Rx 570/580s for $230ish
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:51 AM UTC · #40647
When I can’t profitability mine anymore with my ETH/gpu Rigs I can sell the rig/parts and get most of the $ back
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:52 AM UTC · #40648
Can’t do that with this l3+ or any asic
blh1976 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:53 AM UTC · #40649
whats it cost in electricity to run those rigs?
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:53 AM UTC · #40650
Like how you can get your own name on ETH as an address; for example I got Rexmint.eth and anyone cansend ETH to that (Rexmint.eth) and it goes to any address I want
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:54 AM UTC · #40651
I modded my VBIOS on my amd GPUS so they are undervolted and run faster and cheaper than stock. Each rig is 800-900 Watts
Rexmint · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:55 AM UTC · #40652
My 6th rig I’ve been lazy and haven’t modded the VBIOS yet so it’s slower and more costly, each rig is 6x amd Rx 470/480/570/580 varies models and makes, cards are mixed 4g and 8gb ram
blh1976 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 02:58 AM UTC · #40653
am i looking at your stats right.....says about $1450 per month. is that for all 6 rigs or just 1 rig?
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:08 AM UTC · #40654
6 rigs, 800-900 watts power, about 500-600 a month in electric?
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:11 AM UTC · #40657
i would bet that is for all 6 rigs
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:11 AM UTC · #40658
the question is, how much did 6 rigs cost to assemble if after electric its making 1000 a month?
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:13 AM UTC · #40659
6 X video cards are 250 each, plus mobo/cpu/ram/bootup chip maybe another 250, so...maybe $2000 a rig? times 6 rigs, 12K invested, and at 1K a month profit, 12 months to ROI?
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:14 AM UTC · #40660
litecoins hit $100 it took me less than 2 months to ROI my L3+
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:14 AM UTC · #40661
prolly closer to 130-140 if the price keeps going up
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:15 AM UTC · #40662
rather spend 2K and ROI in 2 months than 12K and ROI in 12 months.
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:15 AM UTC · #40663
ETH numbers just didnt even compare
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:15 AM UTC · #40664
but i did check to see if dash or ether were worth a shot at building a rig for them
blh1976 · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:18 AM UTC · #40665
doesn’t seem like a lot of profit.....but who knows what the future holds! never know what is gonna happen
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:18 AM UTC · #40666
true about any of the coins, the profit returns just seemed a lot longer and lower compared
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 16, 2017 03:19 AM UTC · #40667
would have gone D3 if I couldhave gotten one in like august cheap
