if the miner can ping out, it has a connection
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:27 AM UTC · #38461
if he cant bring up the miner status page it wont really matter.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:27 AM UTC · #38464
ok does the miner status tab load up at all?
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:28 AM UTC · #38467
so right now i still have the 4 whtie cables unplugged from the miner, the psu except for one powering it right now, i did not change it to static and i unplugged my router for 10 seconds
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:28 AM UTC · #38468
I use chrome it should not effect it.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:28 AM UTC · #38469
ok does the miner status page load up at all now?
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:29 AM UTC · #38470
now start miner with no boards.
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:29 AM UTC · #38471
no miner status page dosen’t load
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:29 AM UTC · #38472
but i do not have my prohash info in the general configuration should i put iti n there?
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:29 AM UTC · #38473
ok i'd say get the number for the bitmain out in CA and give them a call during their business hours tomorrow
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:29 AM UTC · #38474
does the other tabs load.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:30 AM UTC · #38475
and see if they have any better testing or if they can determine what else to do or send the controller in to get repaired
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:30 AM UTC · #38477
disney ping still pings out
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:31 AM UTC · #38478
the light on the miner is flashing green correct? no red fault light on it
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:31 AM UTC · #38479
you know system info and shit like that ????
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:31 AM UTC · #38480
should i go back and unplug the PSU replug the cables and the 4 white cables?
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:31 AM UTC · #38481
yeah its flashing green no red fault light
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:31 AM UTC · #38482
no try just the frist board
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:31 AM UTC · #38483
unplug it, plug in the first white cable
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:32 AM UTC · #38484
and the 2 pci-e plugs for that board
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:32 AM UTC · #38485
yeah it even calculates the uptime
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:32 AM UTC · #38486
and then power it back up see what happens with just the 1st on plugged in
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:32 AM UTC · #38487
2 pci-e plugs are from the PSU right
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:32 AM UTC · #38488
if it was a fan it would fault and still show the page just with a lot of 0000s
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:32 AM UTC · #38489
there you go router reboot see try with one board like he said.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:33 AM UTC · #38490
yes the white wire band and the 2 plugs for that same board
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:33 AM UTC · #38491
basically if 3 boards when bad, you would send those 3 in and this is how you would run in the meantime
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:33 AM UTC · #38492
with just 1 board and 1 controller
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:33 AM UTC · #38493
ok let me go upstairs and unplug and replug
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:33 AM UTC · #38494
if this works, you just have to jump the power and white cords down until you find the bad one, and plug in the others not the bad one
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:34 AM UTC · #38495
would give you 3 out of 4 until you can get that one fixed
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:34 AM UTC · #38496
but if never gets the miner status page to load, and the firmware flash didnt do it
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:34 AM UTC · #38497
I bet you they all work it was just a router reboot.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:34 AM UTC · #38498
really dont even want to try their SD card flash thinggy they have directions for
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:35 AM UTC · #38500
he said he gets it know after he rebooted router.
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:36 AM UTC · #38502
ok so i just plugged one white cable end back in with two psu cables
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:36 AM UTC · #38503
yep and the controller power you had in before and turned it on
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:36 AM UTC · #38504
yeah you didnt have to reset it to static , just the router reboot enabled the pings right?
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:37 AM UTC · #38506
sd card flash you need whole rom image.
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:37 AM UTC · #38507
even after i reseted the router
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:38 AM UTC · #38510
ok so then you need to redo the static part again
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:38 AM UTC · #38511
so it has the internet connection
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:39 AM UTC · #38513
i just have a router not a modem
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:39 AM UTC · #38514
im not sure what all settings you may have been playing with when you were trying to get it back up, but its weird the miner on DHCP cant find the internet to ping out
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:39 AM UTC · #38515
i will redo the static part and see if it pings
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:39 AM UTC · #38516
but setting it to static and forcing the address and dns allows it to ping
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:39 AM UTC · #38518
all this happened after i tried to put in the p = w = as my password
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:39 AM UTC · #38519
thats why static works hmmmm.
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:40 AM UTC · #38522
ok let me put it back to static
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:40 AM UTC · #38523
what is your router ip ???
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:40 AM UTC · #38524
yes but even with it is static, and he can ping out, the miner status page still wont load
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:41 AM UTC · #38527
so either an error in the software, and SD flash time, which blah i hate SD flashing thats a brick for me most of the time
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:41 AM UTC · #38528
or sending in the controller and see if it needs fixed or soemthing
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:41 AM UTC · #38529
if he had another miner, or knew someone with one, id say swap the controller cards
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:41 AM UTC · #38530
its easy good luck trying to get the whole rom image from bitmain ????
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:41 AM UTC · #38531
and see if his on their machine makes it not boot up either
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:42 AM UTC · #38532
its on their sites, its a DL its like 3 megs in size
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:42 AM UTC · #38533
the link i posted earlier may still be in there
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:42 AM UTC · #38534
@AppleMiner : really the whole image ???
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:43 AM UTC · #38536
weird, if i can edit the miner through my computer means its gotta have internet connection
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:43 AM UTC · #38537
not the update but the whole kernal image ?
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:43 AM UTC · #38539
it means you have netowrk connection
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:43 AM UTC · #38540
and you talking to us means you have internet connection
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:44 AM UTC · #38542
just was going to sayt that lol.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:44 AM UTC · #38543
if the miner still cant ping out, it doesnt have internet conenction just your local network conenction
dog1965 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:44 AM UTC · #38544
hold I will send pic of my network static tab ?
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:44 AM UTC · #38545
so go back to static? im about to set that up again.. idk what else to do really i appriciate all the help but i dont know how after 4 fukin days of mining this happens
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:45 AM UTC · #38546
thought you just set it to be static
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:45 AM UTC · #38548
got the gateway, got the ip ending in 154
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:45 AM UTC · #38550
once its static it should be able to ping out
Poolpuppy · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:46 AM UTC · #38553
hey guys - anyone using one d3 mining on here? How much are you making per day?
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:46 AM UTC · #38554
can make the ending of the ip really anything but I pick higher values
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:46 AM UTC · #38555
its on the front page poolpuppy
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:46 AM UTC · #38556
on the expected payout, select X11 dropdown
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:47 AM UTC · #38558
setting ip to 154 means 153 other devices have to connect to the network before you start to care.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 07:47 AM UTC · #38559
setting it to 240 means I never care
