know how to setup the miner to be static?
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:51 AM UTC · #38163
click windows button, type dos, click the dos promt
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:51 AM UTC · #38165
numbers we need are the default gateway
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:51 AM UTC · #38167
probably 192.168.1.1 or 0.1
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:52 AM UTC · #38169
on the miner go to the network page
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:52 AM UTC · #38171
hostname, call it whatever, DHCP change that to static
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:53 AM UTC · #38173
gateway, type in the gateway that was in the IP config
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:53 AM UTC · #38175
dns server use the google one. 8.8.8.8
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:53 AM UTC · #38176
and what was the gateway ip
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:53 AM UTC · #38177
change that last number to a 240
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:54 AM UTC · #38178
use that for the IP address for the miner
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:54 AM UTC · #38180
so the new IP of the miner will always be, 192.168.1.240
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:54 AM UTC · #38181
so now you can setup a bookmark to that on chrome or whatever and always hit it
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:55 AM UTC · #38183
its whatever the DHCP assigned to it, and after a reboot it can move and change around
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:55 AM UTC · #38184
this will make it always be 240
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:55 AM UTC · #38185
protocol static, IP address blank netmask 255.255.255.0 and gateway is the 192.168.1.1 right
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:55 AM UTC · #38187
and the dns server 8.8.8.8
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:56 AM UTC · #38190
in a minue the IP address you used to conenct should actually auto change to 240 for you
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:56 AM UTC · #38191
and then recoonect to the miner
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:56 AM UTC · #38192
then hit the network diagnostic and ping
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:56 AM UTC · #38193
see if you have network on the miner now
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:57 AM UTC · #38194
ok perfect lets try it out thanks brother for the help..
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:57 AM UTC · #38197
and they seem to bge pretty much plug and play
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:57 AM UTC · #38198
not sure what settings you were doing to lose the miner status page and stuff
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:57 AM UTC · #38199
yeah man it was working fine 4 days plug and play
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:57 AM UTC · #38200
BUT....no interent conenctin, from no pings going out, explains that.
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:58 AM UTC · #38201
it was telling you exactly what was up
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:58 AM UTC · #38202
you had no socket conencting.
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:58 AM UTC · #38204
ok so the chrome save just happened
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:58 AM UTC · #38205
i thought it was alot worse honestly
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:58 AM UTC · #38206
auto swapped to 240 for you?
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:59 AM UTC · #38207
can save that as a bookmark now, call it MINER
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:59 AM UTC · #38209
it should always be 240 from her eon out
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:59 AM UTC · #38210
yeah i save either the config page or the status page, your choice
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:59 AM UTC · #38212
the IP under the MAC address on the Status page on the miner
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 05:59 AM UTC · #38213
any pools showing up, socet error gne or pings working now?
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:00 AM UTC · #38214
error still shows, pools still no info
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:00 AM UTC · #38216
6 packets transmitted, 6 packets received, 0% packet loss for pinging disney
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:01 AM UTC · #38217
ok so at least its hitting the internet now
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:01 AM UTC · #38220
alright doing that right now
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:01 AM UTC · #38221
the network page seems to change those settings but not force a reboot ive found
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:02 AM UTC · #38222
now with internet rebooting do we get anywhere
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:02 AM UTC · #38224
ping working is a better sigtn
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:02 AM UTC · #38225
yeah so the socket error shouldnt be there if theres internet
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:03 AM UTC · #38226
after 2 mins and it can do a conenction
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:03 AM UTC · #38227
if you hit the general page in the first 1 min you may have to click it a few times
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:03 AM UTC · #38228
if you hit it really fast after a reboot when it first comes up
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:03 AM UTC · #38229
there wont be any data there at all
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:03 AM UTC · #38230
as you click the tab it refreshes the data
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:03 AM UTC · #38231
ok its reving up right now i hear it and the reboot is done
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:04 AM UTC · #38233
still got socket error under hardware version
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:04 AM UTC · #38234
still no information in the mining status
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:05 AM UTC · #38235
does it display the XXX and OOO at the bottom of the statu s page?
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:05 AM UTC · #38237
does it show all 4 hashing boards?
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:06 AM UTC · #38240
and you have all 9 plugs p[lugged into the miner
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:06 AM UTC · #38241
yes as of the last 4 days all plugs have been plugged in i have the 1600 psu so theres one plug extra
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:07 AM UTC · #38242
the 10 of 6-pin PCIe Connectors APW3++-12-1600-A3
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:08 AM UTC · #38243
well last 2 things Ive read to try is reflashing the firmware, uncheck the save my settings and apply
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:08 AM UTC · #38244
and see if the firmware reset recoonects to antminer site to mine
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:08 AM UTC · #38245
and if so just change the pool settings
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:08 AM UTC · #38246
other thing to try is reflashing the miner with a SD card.
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:09 AM UTC · #38247
alright i really dont know how to reflash firmware
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:09 AM UTC · #38248
if you look those up on google with bitmain they give detailed instructions
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:09 AM UTC · #38249

TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:10 AM UTC · #38251
ok im under the upgrade page in the miner
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:10 AM UTC · #38252
try that page see if any of those apply
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:11 AM UTC · #38254
my issue is like number 8 but instead of 0.0.0.0. it shows socket blabla
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:11 AM UTC · #38255
either of those apply to your general page?
TheoD914 · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:11 AM UTC · #38256
issue 8 is exactly how my status page looks like
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:13 AM UTC · #38257
maybe after restoring internet, power it all the way off, wait 2 mins and then plug it back in
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:13 AM UTC · #38258
maybe the reboot wasnt enough after restoring the internet
AppleMiner · Wed Oct 11, 2017 06:14 AM UTC · #38259
shouldnt be but worth a shot, cant hurt
