gjaramillo · · #18324

the day of the $52 dls was 384 frecuncy like factory settings

gjaramillo · · #18325

i just overclock it 2 days ago to 462

rudybit · · #18326

o right, you mean on the actual l3+

gjaramillo · · #18327

i use gamecredits/florincoin/bitconnect(not anymore)

gjaramillo · · #18328

yes L3+ is around now 604 mh/s

rudybit · · #18329

wow ok, you did go up there, did your power consumption went up much?

miles888 · · #18330

Tisk tisk - No warranty for you says the iron fist of Bitmain xD

gjaramillo · · #18331

just to 1024 watts

gjaramillo · · #18332

and temperature not more than a degree

rudybit · · #18333

yup, I thought of that to, the warranty, but it is something to think about, well something to wrestle with today i guess

rudybit · · #18334

in the end all my gpus are oc also, so what the heck....im going to follow your lead gjaramillo

hashingpro · · #18335

so earning an extra maybe 10 bucks per day, take you 200 days to pay for a miner if it blew before then.

gjaramillo · · #18336

let see what happened i am testing

hashingpro · · #18337

i think ill still overclock but not til the 6 month warranty is up

hashingpro · · #18338

or let them burn in for a month then overclock

rudybit · · #18339

any modifications i can do on the pool itself?

hashingpro · · #18340

thats what I thought GJ had for you, the arguments, password settings

hashingpro · · #18341

H=5 vs H=1000....D=1024 vs D=16454

gjaramillo · · #18342

but warranty do not cover burn parts on hash borads or chips

rudybit · · #18343

hasingpro, where can i find these settings?

hashingpro · · #18344

so when you log into PH, you can setup worker names, so if you had 3 L3+s, they could be called worker1, worker2, worker3.

hashingpro · · #18345

the line where you add in n=worker

rudybit · · #18346

right....

hashingpro · · #18347

there are other arguments you can pass to it

rudybit · · #18348

uhu...

hashingpro · · #18349

the help page has more info on what all you can pass

rudybit · · #18350

yes i got it i remember now

rudybit · · #18351

thanks much

hashingpro · · #18352

if you just use worker= then it only does that but people prolly have posted L3+ settings they use

rudybit · · #18353

got it

gjaramillo · · #18354

i dont set a password, should i set it?

hashingpro · · #18355

when I get all my rigs in and running, im hoping to set each one to a diff setting every day for a week and just try combos til i find the best one for my setups

gjaramillo · · #18356

sound interesting

hashingpro · · #18357

rudybit · · #18358

nice..ok guys gotta go

rudybit · · #18359

ltr

hashingpro · · #18360

you could increase your profits depending on those settings

hashingpro · · #18361

see what other L3+ users are setting theirs for on this site, see if it improves your rates any

hashingpro · · #18362

figuring out how to apply the password settings were easier here than trying to read what my miners names/username was on nicehash

fire3916 · · #18363

On the L3+ I spent the last 3 days messing with settings and the best diff I found was d=16384. It produces a decent share rate with an efficiency of 98.2 to 99.7% any high and youll see reduced shares and an efficiency in the low 80s

hashingpro · · #18364

and let me guess, unless you lock that in, sometimes it spins up to 32768 and you end up leaving some profit on the stale shares.

hashingpro · · #18365

Fire, how many miners were you messing with over the past 3 days?

gjaramillo · · #18366

thanks for sharing @fire3916

hashingpro · · #18367

so on the L3+, is there any difference between using just 5 plugs or all 9 of the pci-e.

miles888 · · #18368

You don’t wanna run it missing PCI plugs - even though the system pulls 800 watts AVG, it could cause serious stability issues/damage to the chips

miles888 · · #18369

Technically one plug can deliver the required wattage, but the current is divided between both plugs on each hashing board

hashingpro · · #18370

that was my thoughts, I see people on demo online running them with just 1 on each board

hashingpro · · #18371

or just as bad, plugging in 2 PCI on the same cord run from the power supply into the same hash board, same as just using 1 really.

hashingpro · · #18372

bitmain put out the powers that can drive 2 miners from each power supply

hashingpro · · #18373

but its maxed at 1600

hashingpro · · #18374

so cant overclock would just be 2 at standard powers

miles888 · · #18375

Even from the same cord, it is better to have both plugs populated. Any general knowledge about current and resistance heeds the point that the boards could melt or fry themselves should there be too much current going through a single trace on the pcb

miles888 · · #18376

Be safe out there guys, use 12 gauge (or lower) extension cords, check your breakers, and aim for quality PSU’s

fire3916 · · #18377

hashingpro wrote: and let me guess, unless you lock that in, sometimes it spins up to 32768 and you end up leaving some profit on the stale shares.
you have to lock that in or you risk having the increase in stale shares at the higher level

fire3916 · · #18378

hashingpro wrote: Fire, how many miners were you messing with over the past 3 days?
just the 1 that I own

dustind900 · · #18379

Lot’s of rejected shares the past couple days

hashingpro · · #18380

ok maybe some of you L3+ owners can find me this little piece of data, hows your bandwidth? Im guessing anything is enough for the download speed, but to return the answers, how much bandwidth are you using with how many miners and no other activity on your networks?

hashingpro · · #18381

100K per L3? 1 MB per L3?

rudybit · · #18382

1 mbps upload, 2 mbps download

rudybit · · #18383

on 1 l3+

hashingpro · · #18384

per machine? per second? per hour? per day?

rudybit · · #18385

internet speed i have available for 1 machine

hashingpro · · #18386

so thats what you have and it works, my question is what is needed, required or used

rudybit · · #18387

oh sorry, well.....it being the internet speed i have available, its not taking up much bandwith, so i guess 100k is a safe

rudybit · · #18388

for what is needed

hashingpro · · #18389

so if i buy 1000 miners Ill need to upgrade my service?

hashingpro · · #18390

yes for 1 miner im sure 100K is fine

hashingpro · · #18391

im trying to find a good number so I know what I multiply with to scale it up.

rudybit · · #18392

yup, although, if youre going to get more machines, you should get a 1 to 1 service, meaning same upload speed as download speed

rudybit · · #18393

symmetric service, not asymetric, which is the norm

hashingpro · · #18394

right and with upload being the limit, thats the info I need, how much bandwidth to upload on average per second per L3+

hashingpro · · #18395

1 meg would scale a lot differently than 100K

rudybit · · #18396

if youre looking to setup, lets say......10 machines at 100k usage you would need 1.5 meg upload speed, so that your usage

rudybit · · #18397

stays at around 60%

rudybit · · #18398

never good to use your 100% capacity for upload, you start loosing packages

hashingpro · · #18399

CORRECT. Now if I only knew the usage...the magic number im looking for.

rudybit · · #18400

on 1.5 mps upload you could have 12 machines

hashingpro · · #18401

I understand how to multiply and loads and not maxing a line for electric bandwidth or otherwise, I just have no clue what the bandwidth is for UP on the L3+

rudybit · · #18402

if im understanding correctly your usage per machine would be 100 kilobytes per second

hashingpro · · #18403

DO YOU KNOW THE USAGE?

rudybit · · #18404

o sorry, you meant energy usage, not bandwidth usage?

hashingpro · · #18405

No i really mean bandwidth, internet access speeds

hashingpro · · #18406

I asked 3 times, what is the upload usage of a L3

hashingpro · · #18407

thats all I really need to know, not I have 5 and it works

hashingpro · · #18408

WHAT the actual number is per second a L3 uploads thats all I need to know

hashingpro · · #18409

if you have 5 running Id take that bandwidth number and divide by 5, but I just need to know a real usage number not a best guess or a I think my 3 megs is good enough, HOW much of it

rudybit · · #18410

searching...

hashingpro · · #18411

thanks no clue if L3s have that, or the pools have it,

hashingpro · · #18412

or if you have a modem with the current info per device attached or a router setup

rudybit · · #18413

let me try to get into my modem

Jalapan · · #18414

Hashingpro bandwith is directly connected to what difficulty ur miner is using. I measured 16.5k diff pulled 22mbit/s per miner

rudybit · · #18415

:o :D

Jalapan · · #18416

And that is alot, when i run with 131k diff my bandwith is almost nothing

fire3916 · · #18417

@hashingpro. My stats for the last 24hrs. 8.4gb bandwidth usage on my 1 L3+.

Kuduzela · · #18418

Script= 50.41 cents

vhmanu · · #18419

this is a bug. Steve/Chris will have to take this away from us

vhmanu · · #18420

real prof right now is around ~8-9

vhmanu · · #18421

aaaand its back to normal

Kuduzela · · #18422

it was short lived

Broederbit · · #18423

lol darn was getting so excited
