I can’t speak on the X11 profitability (it’s much less right now 1.59c vs 10c for scrypt) - but this pool is great when it’s working ;P
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:19 AM UTC · #13027
if all goes well - I hope to throw maybe 10 L3+’s on this pool
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:20 AM UTC · #13028
yes i like to buy one l3 but is expensive and i cant install it at home
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:20 AM UTC · #13029
because of noise , so i have to use baikal for now
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:21 AM UTC · #13030
I wish I got a baikal when it was affordable. Their Giant 2000 Mh/s @ $7000 USD is overpriced
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:21 AM UTC · #13031
D3 sounds great but it sold out in a flash lol
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:21 AM UTC · #13032
i know i got baikal cube 2500
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:21 AM UTC · #13033
a lot more than original price
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:21 AM UTC · #13034
(I also hear it’s not multi-algo just x11...which is fine with me)
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:22 AM UTC · #13035
iBeLink hasn’t been the best and the Innosilicon was posted in Chinese only....more than 7k and might just be vaporware to counter Bitmain’s D3 release (I heard...but not sure)
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:23 AM UTC · #13036
2500 for which cube the 300Mh/s or the quad?
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:26 AM UTC · #13039
yeah if you didn’t buy direct. The 300 was $800 direct if I recall...sold out and people resold for 2500+
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:26 AM UTC · #13040
the quad was $1200 or $1300 direct - sold out and people reselling for ungodly prices - then baikal saw this and boosted the price of the giant
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:27 AM UTC · #13041
i trolled them via email saying "Good luck selling that" - They flat out said ROI in 6 months for it was good nuff - I think not...With the D3 out (regardless if it’s multi-algo) at $2700 last price and 15GH/s....
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:27 AM UTC · #13042
is good and bad, good thing is less people mining and diff not going high
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:27 AM UTC · #13044
wait till the next batch of D3’s......
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:28 AM UTC · #13045
if they unload those like the L3+ the diff will skyrocket
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:28 AM UTC · #13046
i have 1 on July 20th batch and 9 more coming Aug 15th batch
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:28 AM UTC · #13047
wish i could buy more.... lol
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:28 AM UTC · #13049
the caculators were REALLY nice 2 months ago when i purchased - about half now
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:29 AM UTC · #13050
expected drop but gawd dayum.... LoL - Regardless still worth it...but damn ya know ;p
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:29 AM UTC · #13052
powerfull device is noisy
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:29 AM UTC · #13053
hey you can always mine the other algos - I haven’t done the math on those - That was one of baikals replies to me - Check profits on the other algos.. (which I honestly haven’t)
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:30 AM UTC · #13055
yeah my wife was going to kill me so I rented a cheap space to set them up in
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:30 AM UTC · #13057
i built 2 6 gpu (12 total) rigs for eth and that price tanked lol
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #13058
but i still keep mining cuz it’ll go back up - Mixing it up grabbing some ETC right now
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #13059
realy? you minig gpu too
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:31 AM UTC · #13060
yeah i just wanted to build 2 rigs - did it before the prices skyrocketed ($230 per Asus RX580 8GB)
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:32 AM UTC · #13062
not too bad got 6 eth so far and dual mined 10k Siacoin 8 Pascal and 1 Decred or so
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:32 AM UTC · #13063
download nemosminer latest ver 2.0.9
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:32 AM UTC · #13064
one algorotym add today skunk
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:32 AM UTC · #13065
i running them on EthOS
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:33 AM UTC · #13070
the algorythm added last night
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:34 AM UTC · #13072
i mining 10min with one gpu 1080ti 0.55c
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:34 AM UTC · #13073
damn it’s nvidia and windows lol i have linux and amd
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:34 AM UTC · #13074
find a way to mining that is ccminer
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:34 AM UTC · #13075
hmmm I have a windows rig mining nil of ZCash right now I might just give that a try (GTX 970 only)
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:35 AM UTC · #13076
you use zpool for anything else?
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:36 AM UTC · #13077
i used for baikal a day is ok
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:36 AM UTC · #13078
i was checking them out on bitcointalk but i liked prohashing more (When it works) haha
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:36 AM UTC · #13079
zpool does not have fee
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:37 AM UTC · #13081
but right no i set my gpu on it in last hour didnt switch from skunk because the profit is too high
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:37 AM UTC · #13082
have you try nicehash with l3+
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:38 AM UTC · #13084
nah - I’ve actually never tried them on anything. I got over $50 with prohashing though my first day
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:39 AM UTC · #13085
does nicehash let you payout in LTC?
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:39 AM UTC · #13087
ah i mean i have nothing against BTC - I just looking for LTC to go up a lot more hehe
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:40 AM UTC · #13088
search on google nicehash calulator and set your device there you can see the profit
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:41 AM UTC · #13089
it’s more like $34/35 on litecoinpool .77ish LTC so here is pretty much the best I’ve been able to find so far
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:41 AM UTC · #13090
bummed they been getting DDoSed and the recent issues...I’m impressed with all this site does
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:41 AM UTC · #13091
I like that it pays you out in any coins too - Even ETH apparnetly lol
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:42 AM UTC · #13092
oh and zpool appears to charge a modest 2% fee on most of it’s pools it seems
agapes · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:43 AM UTC · #13093
just pool not for payout
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:48 AM UTC · #13094
i mean it’s not too bad
Gr33k · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:49 AM UTC · #13095
stuff looks like it’s back up and running now - did we loose out on any shares though I wonder...it seems like there were some gaps but I’m not 100% sure

Steve, are you going to implement the idea of very low diff charged a higher rate as a temporary fix?
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 12:23 PM UTC · #13100
Steve, are you going to implement the idea of very low diff charged a higher rate as a temporary fix? Posted that before reading the update - disregard please
mickeekung · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:07 PM UTC · #13101
Where is Joetheminer? I didn't see him for a while.
mickeekung · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:13 PM UTC · #13102
I can't find Intel PRO 960. I can find only samsung ssd 960 pro.
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:53 PM UTC · #13103
Results of my past couple of hours testing: Improvements="during the higher profit moments and NH bots switch on etc. - the pool doesn’t die, the shares don’t fall nearly so far behind, and rejects don’t climb to 100%.
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:54 PM UTC · #13104
The stales/reject shares still rise high enough to pretty much wipe out profit, but on the overall the pool is much improved in my opinion.
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:56 PM UTC · #13105
I should add that this is using an NH order at 2GHs and static diff of 65K for the testing.
mickeekung · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:56 PM UTC · #13106
Yeah I agree that share stale just raise up
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:56 PM UTC · #13107
Any results from HW miners since Steve announced the latest changes?
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 01:57 PM UTC · #13108
Yeah I agree that share stale just raise up Right, the pool is still not very useful for us NH miners just yet, am interested in some HW miner feedback as well
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:01 PM UTC · #13109
Am not yet through with that evaluation though, need to let the order run through and see how it all averages out, could be that NH orders are actually profitable (at a reduced rate though)
n00bminer · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:25 PM UTC · #13110
well, it kills old asics for this pool. The pool’s software is not routing low hash, old miners to the small/profitable coins like it should. However, you USED to be able to point a small miner at say "ILoveYouCoin" at 1.4mh/s and make it profitable for the pool without killing the wallet daemon. Not anymore, at 4096 the 1.4mh/s device just sits idle
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:44 PM UTC · #13111
Hopefully this setting won’t be needed for long
GregoryGHarding · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:47 PM UTC · #13112
until the new release comes, their giving the finger to small miners, pack up and go to litecoinpool or another multicoin pool until then
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:50 PM UTC · #13113
It’s not helpful to refer to a tough performance improving decision as "giving the finger" mate. Temporary measures must be implemented - or no one at all can mine, as in past weeks.
GregoryGHarding · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:51 PM UTC · #13114
there were easier decisions what wouldnt require small miners to pack up and g elsewhere
GregoryGHarding · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:51 PM UTC · #13115
they decided to take the hard route
GregoryGHarding · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:51 PM UTC · #13116
and strip more from the small guys that can hash at that diff, and less from the big guys
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:52 PM UTC · #13117
As in the whole BTC scaling debate and anywhere else you get differing opinions about the solutions, the worst thing to do is "nothing at all"
GregoryGHarding · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:52 PM UTC · #13118
and completly make anyone that cant hash that diff locked out
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:52 PM UTC · #13119
Is the pool improved? YES. Enough said, the setting change was effective.
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:53 PM UTC · #13120
The time for arguing such things is BEFORE they are implemented mate.
GregoryGHarding · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:53 PM UTC · #13121
when measureing business effectiveness you must take into account customer service and service itselfnot just one or the other
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:54 PM UTC · #13122
God knows I’ve written volumes ont hat topic
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:55 PM UTC · #13123
I’d propose right now though to support the decision that was taken, understanding some of us are still impacted (NH, small miners, probably some others) but some were lucky and will have found thnigs improved.
FRISKIE · Tue Jul 25, 2017 02:59 PM UTC · #13124
Actually though I’m checking figures out now and it seems that even NH orders are profitable in spite of occasional patches of rejects
mjgraham · Tue Jul 25, 2017 03:08 PM UTC · #13125
i think if people need a lower diff there should be an exception that they could send a ticket for and if they see someone with an exception submitting 500 shares a second then smack them , I know I have been partially guilty of this but not lower than 8k, i almost dont see looking at my data most of the time the share delay seems to happen just randomly but not all the time
