ah HAH *grabs Chris and shakes vigorously*
mjgraham · Sat Jun 24, 2017 04:34 AM UTC · #8499
anyone ever have a hashing fixed order canceled as a placeholder order?
VanessaEzekowitz · Sat Jun 24, 2017 04:36 AM UTC · #8500
@mjgraham : a few times yes, if the pool goes down for too long. Especially if there’s enough downtime near the beginning of the order (10% of the total run time).
mjgraham · Sat Jun 24, 2017 04:37 AM UTC · #8501
ok that was It I guess my other order went fine then the other one crapped out a little in, just odd but I see that now
VanessaEzekowitz · Sat Jun 24, 2017 04:38 AM UTC · #8502
Don’t use fixed orders on NH, and I would advise waiting on any NH orders until we get word from Chris that everything is paying out exactly as it should.

VanessaEzekowitz wrote: The "coins mined by day" bar graph suggests that BCC is running? there is a daemon error next to it when you view the coin listing. Been down over a day now
VanessaEzekowitz · Sat Jun 24, 2017 05:40 AM UTC · #8505
I see what you mean. Looks like quite a few others have similar daemon-related errors.
piet · Sat Jun 24, 2017 06:37 AM UTC · #8507
my miners just switched to the backup pool...
piet · Sat Jun 24, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #8508

lilbob · Sat Jun 24, 2017 07:48 AM UTC · #8511
o and agree, fixed order suxors
lilbob · Sat Jun 24, 2017 07:49 AM UTC · #8512
no edit control, and 10% dead pool automatic cancel. suxors
lilbob · Sat Jun 24, 2017 07:50 AM UTC · #8513
i even had one that was automaticaly canceled due it being ’a place holder’ or some such nonsense
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 09:22 AM UTC · #8514
looks like profitability is back to normal
piet · Sat Jun 24, 2017 09:39 AM UTC · #8518
NH europe is sold out; Not enough hashing power available.
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 09:44 AM UTC · #8521
steve and chris got alot of hate last night
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 09:45 AM UTC · #8523

fattygrub · Sat Jun 24, 2017 11:28 AM UTC · #8525

hehe i know...so far so good this morning
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 01:45 PM UTC · #8532
NH should really look into allowing you to assign nultiple pools to your order as failovers
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 01:45 PM UTC · #8533
maybe then there wouldnt be so much complaints :p
fattygrub · Sat Jun 24, 2017 01:45 PM UTC · #8534
you already can. i was running workers at thee different pools at the same time yesterday
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 01:46 PM UTC · #8535
yeah but can they be assigned as failover only
fattygrub · Sat Jun 24, 2017 01:47 PM UTC · #8536
oh i see what mean not really. but it can be manual. you know as well as i that one should never setup NH orders then walk away. that a for-sure way to get burned there
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 01:48 PM UTC · #8537
well im against NH all together, but you get my drift
frphm · Sat Jun 24, 2017 02:04 PM UTC · #8538
I wonder how hard it would be to set up a NH competitor site
fattygrub · Sat Jun 24, 2017 02:10 PM UTC · #8539
i think it would be very expensive and time consuming for even the best programmers to duplicate what they have. then it would take a long time to build up the volume of rigs they have connected.
VanessaEzekowitz · Sat Jun 24, 2017 02:14 PM UTC · #8540
Nothing to report, Greg. things finally seem to be working right.
mjgraham · Sat Jun 24, 2017 02:25 PM UTC · #8541
I think the pool thing at NH is on purpose so you cant lock up orders for days at a time
JKDReaper · Sat Jun 24, 2017 02:34 PM UTC · #8542
GregoryGHarding wrote: well im against NH all together, but you get my drift Same, is why 99% of my rental comes from MRR...Plus can get better rates at times

Can traditional programmers jump into a blockchain-based gig and know how to do it, or do I need to look for special programmers that are familiar with cryptocurrency programming?
Steve Sokolowski · Sat Jun 24, 2017 03:08 PM UTC · #8544
I think that to reproduce NiceHash would probably cost about half a million dollars
frphm · Sat Jun 24, 2017 03:13 PM UTC · #8545
Eh, I’m actually not referencing that idea anymore - it reminded me of another project I’ve been dwelling on for the past month or so. Much simpler.

im set to solo an x11 coin. all of a sudden PH is treating my workers as scrypt and change diff to 16K
GregoryGHarding · Sat Jun 24, 2017 04:03 PM UTC · #8553
and workers are not being issued shares

Ah right got it, was going to ask him if this stat delay over 2mins occured at the same sequence of delays that he was charting. Seems rythmic and could help the troubleshooting about lost share concerns
mickeekung · Sat Jun 24, 2017 05:09 PM UTC · #8570
Can’t believe this. Share stale and delta in Nicehash on this day is obviously excellent than previous. I with every day will be like now.
fattygrub · Sat Jun 24, 2017 05:12 PM UTC · #8571
yes, it is absolutely like it was before the ddos/fixes, i too hope it stays this way long time
