False equivalence. Acquiring a lawyer is a form of defense regardless of guilt, settling can either imply the belief that they’d lose in court or the desire to make the problem go away.
You can be a fan of Elon Musk and still believe that SpaceX underpaid people, just saying. Elon doesn’t set wages - he isn’t the only admin in the company.
If it was a handful of people, I’d agree with you. But 4,100 people...that’d be quite a con to manage. And the fact that they settled on top of that...I just can’t immediately disregard that just because I like Musk
@fattygrub - after looking into the ICO further I realize that it's well supported with some key industry players already, and Vitalik Buterin is an investor too . . 'nuff said I guess - he could afford to lose the money, sure, but people like this are careful where they associate their name, damaged reputation can be costly, so the fact that he is an investor and listed on the webpage complete with foto and mini-bio is very reassuring
Wonderful, after all this time Steve finally shows up i the chat list but doesn't bother to comment to us and goes away, personally after todays bullshit experience I'm thinking I need a break from here for a while, unless someone can make perfect sense of why we have been abandoned with unstable system behavior and not a goddamn visit from either of the brothers to fix anything.
As a long time developer, especially one who as worked for small businesses like these, let me say to you that if they could do everything perfect they would, if they had the money to hire ten people, they would, if they could quit their day jobs and focus on this fully, they would. Its hard out here to make a real reactor you can get power from, and if you try to do so yourself you will see. Patience. Cant hurt anyone.
popping in once over a half day period to check server performance and relaunch daemons and crashed services isn't a huge expectation, ESPECIALLY when it means coins are offline and profits down!
No one is asking for 10 people, but if they can't cover it they need to at least pay for part time admin coverage from someone who can, I personally lost enough today to cover his freakin salary, combine other miner's losses and you got the whole month covered
It's bullshit pure and simple and inexcusable to abandon systems with so many people putting so much money through, and godamn cheap as hell to not ensure some kind of coverage,
It's profit I scratched together in spite of the NH bots setting prices through the roof, and all the DDoS bullshit, to end up losing the hard won profits on a day of horrible system performance, coins offline, and not a godamned person to even bother to stick their head in and check status, it's made me the most upset I've ever been with these guys!
Frisk i feel your pain, before the crash i was doing good, after i didbt change anything but i am loosing terribly, now my stright mining is OK but having to rely on data that gets out of date as soon as you need it is killing us,i know bots etc. But i dont think that is all of it, i have noticed a pattern in the WAMP data delay today, i sent it in well see what is going on, i had an extra bonus that NH account got comprised and i lost .28 btc , my fault i guess,i told them it was a bit funny that they detected it and marked it as unexpected but didnt do,anything about it, they will send emails for, every darn thing on the site but not withdrawls shesh
I am not aggravated at the DDoSers, they lost, it's funny - I am aggravated at being abandoned all goddamned day long with issues on the system. Issues that a few minutes from one of the brothers to look into would have been a fair and reasonable expectation, considering the loooooooooong time passed since they bothered to look in or post anything
@Steve Sokolowski : I am also still waiting for credit on missing shares from Jun 21. I am no longer sure how much I lost (I do not stand by the numbers I mentioned before, they are most likely wrong).
