AvPro · · #5873

Sounds good Steve

chicle · · #5874

still no adjustment to my earning no mining share updated.. this is not good guess i lost $$ and a lesson learned.. no more mining on this site till i get honest updates..

FRISKIE · · #5875

@ chicle - My own losses were properly updated, although it did take a while. Have you reached out to Chris directly via PM for support?

shares stalling out ~11:58 am EST

tmopar · · #5878

hang in there... I have a feeling BTC will hit 5gs by or before november

sirslayerjr · · #5879

tmopar · · #5880

thats not bad press at all

FRISKIE · · #5881

I like that the endorsement he gives is more for blockchain in general than for Bitcoin in particular.

sirslayerjr · · #5882

FRISKIE · · #5883

Here's what I hope is a better project with the same vision - https://humaniq.co/?_ga=2.142549041.200 ... 1496855237

FRISKIE · · #5884

If Bill Gates talks about bringing banking to the poor, I don't trust his motives in the slightest.

VanessaEzekowitz · · #5885

All right you bot-wielding prick-smack, go away

VanessaEzekowitz · · #5886

(whoever it is)

FRISKIE · · #5887

Eh? What's up?

FRISKIE · · #5888

Me and sirslayer just exchanging some links :)

VanessaEzekowitz · · #5889

Friske, actually I meant over on nicehash. No sooner do I place an order at 0.0273, some bot tries to raise the price floor way beyond a profitable level

FRISKIE · · #5890

Oh yeah that, I've commented on it plenty myself :) PM JoeTheMiner about it, the bots are his I think.

FRISKIE · · #5891

Tip - when you see Prohashing profit drop, like now, pop over to NH and place an order.

FRISKIE · · #5892

Well soon as I said that it starts rising, but you know what I mean :)

VanessaEzekowitz · · #5893

nice going, Friskie :)

FRISKIE · · #5894

I'll give an expanded view of the whole bot thing - on the one hand it's frustrating to have to wait and find that low point to set an order, and the bots have made it where the price is consistently higher than before.

FRISKIE · · #5895

The other side of the story is that by pegging the bots to the rise and fall of Prohashing profitability, the pricing levels on NH are more in line with the rise and fall of the broader market.

FRISKIE · · #5896

That said, I'm not yet convinced that the behavior of the bots is not too aggressive and verging on pricing everyone out of the NH site. Some days I barely clear a profit, and hope that in the coming days the bots will be refined to target a "sweet spot" more effectively

Konov · · #5897

If you give order not so much speed, that bot will never cross you

FRISKIE · · #5898

And wait all day for profits to trickle in? :)

Konov · · #5899

it is better to make big income in less then a minus in big

tmopar · · #5900

I see nice hash offering to sell out to these guys in a year.

tmopar · · #5901

or doing their own thing, hussling fast to copy, pepsi to coke

nimbus · · #5902

guys is renting hashpower from nicehash porfitable ?

mrgoldy · · #5903

anyone have a baikal miner? or know where to get one?

nimbus · · #5904

check alibaba

mrgoldy · · #5905

not sure about ordering from china....was hoping to order from somewhere in the US

mrgoldy · · #5906

disregard that, I see some US sellers on there

mickeekung · · #5907

Chris will wake up in 1-2 hours.

mickeekung · · #5908

This is the time to rent fixed type on Nicehash, maybe.

fattygrub · · #5909

way too high at NH right now for Fixed: 0.325

fattygrub · · #5910

oops .0325

kirrrrrr · · #5911

hey guys, the gold question is, how can we beat the bots on nicehash? Cause when more start to use them it will ruin the market/profits for everyone, with prices constantly high..

kirrrrrr · · #5912

are there some alternatives to nicehash out there?

JoeTheMiner · · #5913

FRISKIE wrote: Oh yeah that, I’ve commented on it plenty myself :) PM JoeTheMiner about it, the bots are his I think.
Nope those bots aren’t mine. I am fighting them too. Causing me to lose too much money.

AvPro · · #5914

A lot of them are NH themselves boosting the price for their miners per the FAQ

Namiks · · #5915

Is there a reason as to why met thresholds aren’t getting the payouts?

Namiks · · #5916

I’ve had an Eth balance above the threshold for several days and it isn’t being paid.

FRISKIE · · #5917

Aha - sorry then for the comment mate :)

No problem, can’t possibly believe that what this bot is doing would ever be profitable.

mickeekung · · #5919

Why profit both Scrypt and X11 are down? Anyone know? Because we don’t find block enough?

fattygrub · · #5920

i think its gotta be the market today...its just down

Please send a message to contact@prohashing.com about this and Chris will look into it after the release.

tmopar · · #5923

maybe its not a bot... maybe its NH themselves playing with the numbers to give the illusion of competition

FRISKIE · · #5924

It's definitely bots, there's far too many of them for anyone to be dealing with manually - but I have a feeling your comment about it being NH themselves could be spot on.

mickeekung · · #5925

How to create NH bot?

mickeekung · · #5926

OMG Scrypt: 142.91¢ · 0.00055191 BTC · 560.66 GH/s

AvPro · · #5927

Its NH - there was way too long a wait between BitcoinConnect diff drop and the hash being allocated to orders. The pause was far much longer than usual. NH loaded their orders and gave them the miners. No tin foil hat here - that’s what happened

AvPro · · #5928

@tmopar :  they are not making any illusions - its right there on their website for SHA and Scrypt - NH will self compete with paying customers to inflate the price

sirslayerjr · · #5929

my favorite coin is doing so good!!! 42 42-coin 162.95% 6.59998 btc per 42-coin

tmopar · · #5930

thats definitely high... its gotta be an orphanblock multiplier on bitconnectcoin or something

n00bminer · · #5931

what time is the site going down?

Konov · · #5932

All you do with NH is giving 2 brothers their fee.

tmopar · · #5933

i felt like it was a waste of time mining there honestly... i dont see why anyone does

FRISKIE · · #5934

I just wrote a very frank message to NH describing the what the bots are doing to their customers who rent the hashing power, we'll see if I get a response.

FRISKIE · · #5935

i dont see why anyone does
before the freakin' bots got so aggressive I was actually making a nice profit most days, in a "set it and forget it" kind of mode . .

FRISKIE · · #5936

Greed always steps into any profit making venture and mucks it all up

tmopar · · #5937

there needs to be some cpompetition two ways... we need new asic manufactueres to drive the price down, and we need a new hashing wholesaler to NH.... PH could take over this entire market segment if they could grow enough quickly... cut NH out completely

tmopar · · #5938

imagine renting an hour of 500 gh... to any pool you wanted

tmopar · · #5939

or coin network

FRISKIE · · #5940

Would love nothing better than to have a great alternative to NH

Konov · · #5941

FRISKIE - HAHAHA. You wrote to NH that they must remove other players - for you to income?

Konov · · #5942

LOL

FRISKIE · · #5943

:D

tmopar · · #5944

what im saying is... we are here already... they just need to become more sophisticated... instead of doing the coin blocks... renting to a higheroller might be more profitable

tmopar · · #5945

or 90% of the network rentable to a high roller.... 10% doing its thing normally

tmopar · · #5946

i would drop BTC on that

tmopar · · #5947

solo mining LTC or similar

FRISKIE · · #5948

FRISKIE - HAHAHA
the bots that infest the NH site have gotten so aggressive as to price those of us renting hash power right out of the market - I thought it worth a few minutes of my time to describe this to them :)

Konov · · #5949

That .xxx1 bot is doing well

FRISKIE · · #5950

i would drop BTC on that
uhum . . me too!

tmopar · · #5951

I think 1.5 btc for 30 minutes at 500 gh might be a reasonable starting point

FRISKIE · · #5952

For the miners and NH I suppose it is, but it will all be for nothing if the hash power renters leave due to bad profits

Konov · · #5953

don’t you understand - NH bot could go to a zero profit, while you will get -5% - 2brothers fee ;) LOL

FRISKIE · · #5954

I believe I do understand perfectly, have been analyzing the situation for weeks :)

tmopar · · #5955

konov you the one writing those bots :)

tmopar · · #5956

?

FRISKIE · · #5957

Although I do admit to having been profitable over most of those days, but the bots in the past several days have become more aggressive, and my own profits have dropped so far as to almost not be worth the efforts any longer

Konov · · #5958

and there are only one opportunity - make not so much order - I learned this bot - if total rent is < some part of all speed, this bot is not going high

mjgraham · · #5959

I dont know if it is one bot or two different there seems to be two groups of orders with similar speeds , if they would set the speed to something respectable we would all be OK

FRISKIE · · #5960

You're speaking of Standard orders though, many of us have other things to do in the day than babysit a NH order, and prefer to use Fixed

tmopar · · #5961

couldnt NH just make the numbers harder to get to ... like the way they do ebay messages where its got the crazy numbers everywhere? make it non-machine readable

tmopar · · #5962

like encapsulated inside an image... requiring OCR and open to errors a human would not

FRISKIE · · #5963

if they would set the speed to something respectable we would all be OK
Exactly! - I'm not at all against the concept of bots pegging the NH price to follow the market, but the levels should be reasonable so all can turn a profit!

Konov · · #5964

NH is interested in higher prices - so, they would not do this.

Konov · · #5965

The basic logic of agressive bot is all others hash rate< 0.3 speed of nicehash or west hash separately

Konov · · #5966

If this rule is broken, price will go up

AvPro · · #5967

They actually lost about 33% of their Scrypt miners end last week - they will be methodically boosting the price to get them back and it is working.

mjgraham · · #5968

yea I like fixed as well if you can get a decent rate anymore, what do you mean by harder to get to for the numbers, maybe only one order per user per location or something although they just cover the spread , shoot I might try it one time script up something put in 20 orders @ .005 as long as most didn’t hash wouldn’t loose anything but nah not today

tmopar · · #5969

the bots are scraping their site.... if you make it to where its harder than it is now, that will limit the bots

tmopar · · #5970

if they implemented this... just showing the spot prices in images designed to be hard for a machine to read ( think captcha)

tmopar · · #5971

it would destroy the bot market immediately
