I think we got the "shares behind" error

Steve Sokolowski · · #2283

the system was overloaded because we were inserting unnecessary debug data

FRISKIE · · #2284

Not much improvement, still long delays

Chris Sokolowski · · #2285

If azrilreyes is watching the forums, could you please raise your static x11 difficulty? Your shares are loading the pool more than all other users combined and are causing the delays. If you can change the difficulty on your end, we won’t have to raise the minimum static difficulty and force all your miners to disconnect.

steve/chris ive realised converting to bitcoin is a waste of time at my hashrate can i either forfeit my bitcoin balance donate it or have it converted to litecoin?

tmopar · · #2287

im confused... its all equal the bitcoin just has a higher payout threshold compared to the others?

GregoryGHarding · · #2288

its not equal...

dfair98 · · #2289

Anyone else having connectivity issues?

GregoryGHarding · · #2290

yes

GregoryGHarding · · #2291

main page down too.. server reset?

tmopar · · #2292

its my understanding a hash at a given time is worth X... X buys you Y litecoins or Z bitcoins depending on their respective prices....

tmopar · · #2293

please correct me if i am wrong

tmopar · · #2294

where X is USD/share

GregoryGHarding · · #2295

yes and 1btc is 1300 where 1ltc is 14

tmopar · · #2296

right so, you will get just as much waiting for the bitcoin to fill up

GregoryGHarding · · #2297

so i get more of a share of a litecoin

tmopar · · #2298

yes

GregoryGHarding · · #2299

which is why i gave up on bitcoin

GregoryGHarding · · #2300

if rather reach payout of litecoin quicker

GregoryGHarding · · #2301

id

tmopar · · #2302

i am about 10% of the way there to filling mine up too... just hang in there, do like 90%/10%

GregoryGHarding · · #2303

10 hours immature -_-

GregoryGHarding · · #2305

not orhpaned

tmopar · · #2306

i thjink thats an indication no one else is at this time mining them

tmopar · · #2307

perhaps you could set two miner workers solo

GregoryGHarding · · #2308

il just leave it just thought it was odd, espically on merged mining

how connect from miningrigrentals.com x11? what need write in pass

mickeekung · · #2313

@ crazyq3 a=x11 d=YOUR DIFF

Steve Sokolowski · · #2314

miningrigrentals won’t work with x11 because of an incompatibility

Steve Sokolowski · · #2315

they disconnect when the start diff is too high, and we can’t set the diff you requested with d= until after connecting and sending the password

Steve Sokolowski · · #2316

we don’t know how we can resolve that

mickeekung · · #2317

Why it can’t work? I rent it for 3 days and it works fine.

mickeekung · · #2318

Just a few of them are didn’t work.

Steve Sokolowski · · #2319

tmopar wrote: im confused... its all equal the bitcoin just has a higher payout threshold compared to the others?
Yes, because it costs us $6 to pay out in bitcoins now

Steve Sokolowski · · #2320

you get the same amount of money, but you have to wait until you get $40 in bitcoins before you get paid

Steve Sokolowski · · #2321

or, you can choose any other coin and get paid every $1

mickeekung · · #2322

This is a complex problem resulting from performance issues. It will likely take a while before we can resolve it, but no money is being lost.

Are there problems with showing the live worker status? Get WebSocket connection to ’wss://live.prohashing.com/ws’ failed: Error in connection establishment: net::ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE.

KvC wrote: Are there problems with showing the live worker status? Get WebSocket connection to ’wss://live.prohashing.com/ws’ failed: Error in connection establishment: net::ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE.
Investigating now.

Steve Sokolowski · · #2327

It turns out that the cause of the database being behind is that Chris is restoring the block explorer data still

Steve Sokolowski · · #2328

so it may not be as serious an issue as I thought and will go away after the data is restored

mickeekung · · #2329

Steve. Where is Chris? I miss him. :)

He’s asleep.

Steve Sokolowski · · #2331

I’m going to restart the mining server because I need to get a performance profile

Steve Sokolowski · · #2332

this is going to be painful for the next 10 minutes or so, but I need to know how to improve performance

Hopefully the "Both primary and merge mined shares are stale" will be a lot less to...

but probably the answer of this is on my side... sometimes there a "high" latency between US en EU

Chris- any update pls?
Xhris / Steve- any update yet? I know you have much more important things, but, this thing is same importance because we consider we stayed with you and worked hard during first 2-3 days. I would appreciate paying out as it is now exactely one week and things get forgotten at some point.

FRISKIE · · #2337

No, the problem is that the mining server has performance issues. It has a long queue of blocks that it can’t process before they go stale. We’re working on that now.

mickeekung · · #2345

X11 just got reset?

avgswsiss · · #2346

nameisis wrote: To continue previous text. What Mhash everyone is getting on Baikal miners?
nameisis: i’m getting to much rejected and lost blocks on Dash, still. But Steve has already talked about this issue. My hashrate is almost 4 GH- ALWAYS- lower than i should have- at least what’s being displayed on the web, even i want to believe it is not correct.

Steve Sokolowski · · #2347

ok, profile obtained, restarting in normal mode

Steve Sokolowski · · #2348

there might have been a lot of rejected shares there because of the restart for a few min

Steve Sokolowski · · #2349

things should return to normal within 3m

For x11 and scrypt- both? or for x11 right now?

mickeekung · · #2351

X11 is up to 150 GH/s now.

Steve Sokolowski · · #2352

Livestats are not working either Steve. I have just connected back and again away my x11. its boring Steve. Let us all know when you consider "done" so i can switch back and check.

crazyq3 · · #2354

why profit x11 lowest then on nicehash?

olkah · · #2355
