Steve, Chris... guys, someone has to say it: the site upgrade was a major clusterfuck. :)

mickeekung · · #2391

Steve and Chris might sleep right now. However I’m waiting for them getting up. :)

FRISKIE · · #2392

A Vanessa - fully agree. It’s clear by now that the machines are under-resourced and unable to cope with the load. Be it processor power, RAM, storage IO throughput, all of the above or whatever combination, the system infrastructure cannot handle the increased load. Period.

nameisis · · #2393

Hi anyone getting lower hashes than with Scrypt than they used to?

nameisis · · #2394

Getting 245 on A4, usually was at least 250 and close or over 260

ximing1688 · · #2395

Why are there no Megacoi payouts? When can payouts? Two days without payouts

tmopar · · #2396

I thought a4’s were 130mh?

nameisis · · #2397

A4 is 2 blocks. Technically 136Mhash each. But it really hashes at near 270’s

avgswsiss · · #2398

nameisis wrote: A4 is 2 blocks. Technically 136Mhash each. But it really hashes at near 270’s
It depends which A4 you have, 130 or 280 MH/s model. With same settings, one shows 470 avg., the other one shows 520 but none of them 560 MH/s. and it depends on what rejection is.

avgswsiss · · #2399

what static difficulty do you use? I have in meantime set to 131072 and looks better on this pool.

there is no 136 model. Its just resellers have split apart so they can make more profit and sell easier.

avgswsiss · · #2404

Steve Sokolowski wrote: is anyone having more than 2% rejected shares?
i’m monitoring what it will bring. There are two issues that i noticed: 1) if you mine solo a specific coin, ie. DASH, hashrate is not being calculated. 2) i just noticed even that i have not set proportional coin payouts, it is adding to my Dash balance, which should not happen. I have only bitcoin set.

avgswsiss · · #2405

Steve Sokolowski wrote: is anyone having more than 2% rejected shares?
On my Scrypt i have 96.11 % avg. hash. with two machines connected here.

avgswsiss · · #2406

Steve- Why is x11 mining Dash and not adding to Bitcoin balance?

avgswsiss · · #2407

Yes Steve- Not it even got worser. 100 MH/s per unit out of 560 MH/s i’m getting lower.

Not sure why. The owner once stated to us that it was a hobby to him and offered to sell the site to us. It was an unreasonably large price, so we declined, so perhaps he doesn’t want to spend the time to maintain it and also can’t find a buyer at his price.

I talked to the owner, he said he’s occupied with other projects and can not continue to provide this service.

Y11 Algo- sorry for not adding.

Steve Sokolowski · · #2450

tmopar wrote: chris is there a given moment in time each day the system does the auto payouts?
No. The exact time is dependent on the speed of the bitcoin network, which as you know is overloaded and unreliable. We do guarantee payouts at some point during the day, just not at a specific time.

Steve Sokolowski · · #2451

avgswsiss wrote: Steve / Chris- Payout for yesterday is 50% les than payout from 1 day ago, for same Algo, same Hashpower. Are you sure there is no mistake?

The right side is the 95th percentile of profitability figures over the past 2 hours, meaning that profitability was over that number 5% of the time. The current profitability is represented by where the progress bar is now.

FRISKIE wrote: So all the stats and earnings are unavailable again?
This seems to be a WAMP error transmitting data. For some reason, the memory leak on that server returned again, which will require some troubleshooting. I don’t think it’s indicative of a money-losing issue.

Before Live balance dissapeared, there was a balance of 0.163xx balance, after returning the live balance stats, it was only 0.164xxx- and if im not wrong there were quit few hours that the stat did not work. I personally did not take screens to compare, but based on experience it may be worth for you looking at it.

So for a medium or long-term mining, about 24 hrs, we should be based on the right side profitability which is more proper for long-term mining, right?

Steve Sokolowski · · #2470

ekan1975 wrote: do u have any plan to put in sha256 in this pool ?
Not right now, because of the performance issues. Before we could do that, we need to get CPU usage for the coin selection process under 50% consistently. We were thinking of having Chris go to the datacenter on the Memorial Day weekend to start installing servers for that.

avgswsiss · · #2471

Steve- i’m seeing you become like most of other pools, by just not playing fair and being sincere. I understand you have enough other things to do, but, we i, as a miner, expect to be paid for my hashpower and expect that i do have the right to know why my questions related to payouts and hashpower rate are just being not answered. I’m mining here with 20+ GH/s Scrypt and with 30+ GH/s X11, just for your information.

tmopar · · #2472

a few more shares in they have came down a little ... it might have been a localized phenomena 1335 / 22 ~1.6%

Still a few patches of rejects here and there, seems to coincide with the times the server here gets stressed, but a huge improvement and the best its looked since the upgrade by a long shot. (ermm, we are still calling that an "upgrade" right? ;) )

It’s not just the contact, but, the fact that we are now 10 days since your first upgrade and enabling x11 and almost all of issues have just been past in silence. The payout difference of two days that i posted day or two days ago, payout of 24th of full day mining that was pendent and now been decreased from 0.059xxx to 0.0002xxx and the message that the 0.059 was due to an error. Additionally, my main concern is hashrate that i’m losing here, by rejecting always between 3-5% and by never touching or never being near peak hashpower rate that i really have. Both, Scrypt and x11. I also know i can run away and leave you alone, and that i’m free to walk. But, was hoping to finally have found a serious and sincere pool.

avgswsiss · · #2479

@ Steve - looking at perf charts the best I can tell is that you have a scheduled process that kicks off about 10 minutes after every hour, and another at 30 minutes after - and like clockwork the stale shares kick in shortly after for a few minutes. As these are VMs you may be able to see what’s running at those times and schedule more resources to commit for that period.
