safecoin forked over to 192,7 algo..its not 144,5/zhash anymore

PolakCrypto · · #92117

might want to look into that

Chris Sokolowski · · #92118

Are you sure? Because the readme in the repository says that safecoin is equihash 144_5 (https://github.com/Fair-Exchange/safecoin)

BoogerHook · · #92119

It’s listed as 192,7 in the "coin specs" on the coin’s home site: https://safecoin.org/coin-info/

Digibyte error Authorization failed because the static coin/algorithm combination is in error.

Digibyte has a limit to the number of blocks that can be mined for one algorithm in a row; most likely you tried to connect when it was not possible to mine any more blocks of that algorithm until a block of a different algorithm was mined first

Steve Sokolowski · · #92122

please submit a support ticket and we’ll be glad to investigate whether that is the case

Does anyone see lower prohashing profits than other pool?

Prohashing isn’t true PPS. They add a fee for the average orphan rate, which is inaccurate. For instance, on Horizen, they have an extra 9.54% fee and for Zcash, a 5.06% fee, which are supposedly there due to orphans. However, the actaul orphan rates for these coins are only around 1-3%.

jde · · #92127

Prohashing: You should list your true fees. Someone mining Horizen is not paying a 4.99% fee -- they are paying over a 14% fee.

Exactly, some cases you pay 30% fees mining some static coin

siberianbreaks · · #92129

true pps means the pool operator absorv the risk thats why the 4.99%

These are the orphan rates we receive; remember that these coins have a lot of miners switching to them all at the same time, which drives up the orphan rates to high levels

Steve Sokolowski · · #92132

Ideally, a coin might receive a 3% orphan rate, but that never happens in practice

WTF, 14% , that’s crazy numbers. If prohashing doesn’t fix that, no one will come to you.

The transfer of miners at the same time causes the orphanage rate to be high because of your pool algorithm, not by us. The purpose of the pool your convert is to increase the profit for the miners, but it is counterproductive. You need to fix that

Steve Sokolowski · · #92137

I think you’re missing what I said; the issue is that other pools are bringing in a lot of miners, not us, as the orphan rate does not include stale blocks, only orphans

Steve Sokolowski · · #92138

Unfortunately, it’s just the way that mining works, and there’s not much we can do about it

I looked up that orphan rate issue - it turns out that the average orphan rate is 7.11% this month, down about 1% each month from a starting point of 16.5% last January

Steve Sokolowski · · #92141

so the orphan rates have significantly declined over time

Has anyone had their payouts go directly to your Ledger Nano S for ERC 20 tokens? If so, how did you do it? Was it as simple as putting your Ethereum address into the ERC 20 payout address line on ProHashing? Any input is greatly appreciated in advance.

mike0204 · · #92143

@ Dr_Soos It’s not that simple. You need app other than Ledger Live to make it work. The 2 apps that I know of are MEW and My Crypto. I use My Crypto. Basically, the app connects to your ledger, opens up the Ether Wallet and allows you to set up lots if not all of the ERC 20 tokens. You basically send it to the Ethereum address and when you do a token search, your ERC 20 tokens are attached. The problem with Ledger Live is that you can’t do a token search. The tokens may indeed be attached, but you can’t see them.

mike0204 · · #92144

@ Dr_Soos I forgot. In full disclosure, I have only done ERC 20 transfers to my Ledger from exchanges, not from Prohashing.

Dr_Soos · · #92145

@mike0204 I have MEW linked to

Dr_Soos · · #92146

Ledger Live

Dr_Soos · · #92147

I have sent plenty of ERC 20 tokens from exchanges. I just wasn’t sure if you could set it up the same way as a ProHashing payout.

Steve Sokolowski · · #92151

Chris just restarted the mining servers to resolve an issue that caused inconsistencies in coin errors depending on your IP address

Steve Sokolowski · · #92152

it affected digibytes

Steve Sokolowski · · #92153

and other coins at other times

KEBKR · · #92154

Is there a problem with sha256? Miners showing very low hash rates.

jamesn338 · · #92155

Does prohashing support multiminer? I got it linked to my dashboard and it says the miner is currently running. im currently mining LiteCoin cash but i havent received a single share for 20+ mins
