@oppresseddude : are you overclocking the L3? Have you plugged in a watt-meter to check how much its pulling from the wall? And its not 800 watts a day, its 800 watt-hours per day.
That is ALSO assuming the wattage to run it doesnt put you over your supply cap, which incurrs additional costs on every watt used over your limit the rest of that month.
Also to note: friend was running HIS numbers and thought he only had to pay the Energy Charge on the wattage to run the miner. he sorta left out the Transmission + distribution charges also applied to each watt used. Took his energy from 5 cents up to 12 just like that.

this is true but... many factors determine how much the net is on that mined coin. factors such as expenses - ie; energy consumption, operating expenses, anything involved such as rent, a percentage of your home. then once your net if figured, then your tax bracket comes into play. for argument’s sake, say your net for the day is $10 and your tax bracket is a net 18% then you owe $1.80 that $10 leaving you with $8.20. many, many factors involved and many many ways it can turn.
I also dont think its the net that gets the tax, its revue generated that is taxed. Then you deduct what you spent from that. Capital gains is on net after what you paid for the coin or were taxed when it was made.
Nice, in 1 hour the LTC difficulty looking to drop 8%. More coins for those left still mining. Drop looks like 20% of the miners stopped mining on LTC network.
it looks like something caused the primary server to reboot, but no shares were lost except for a few people who failed over to the backup pools for a brief period
sorta wish I could run my miners, with diff drop litecoinpool is paying almost 20% more than here. Would be a nice mount of coins if it was worthwhile to mine with the costs as they are now.
i’d say in a day or 2 if the price doesnt jump back up where it was, a lot of folks will be shutting off. Then i realized most the people on here dont actually know how much they earn or pay to earn it so will continue to mine at a negative for the next month until they notice the prices.
if you were mining a flat stable coin and getting moar coins in the undervalued coin then yes. But with all the coins losing value, you arent getting anymore percent of coins than you were before. Just the values are less.
before you made $10 a day and got 10X $1 coins. Now you make $5 and get 10X $0.50 coins. Still the same number of coins, just less value to each of them.

I mean went to a back up pool - both SHA and X11 were down long enough for a back up pool to synch and submit hashes. For the SHA it was happening frequently and I could hear the fans revving up and down until I finally switched it off at about 4am
going to bet profits are down today, not just the overnight crash, but with people constantly rebooting instead of mining its hard to get a hashrate going.
This happens every year at yearly upgrade. The server creates some config file by default that isnt big enough and each year chris has to go back in and alter the file to be larger to work with the pool.
