did you go to innosilon site and see if there was new patch or firmware it may need?

CSZiggy · · #90112

and by NEW...from innosilcon or online from some guy?

alexis97 · · #90113

innosilcon , scrypr l3 + used, try another pool

CSZiggy · · #90114

i would check innos site and see if it needs an update run on it

CSZiggy · · #90115

good luck

A9.... password just put "e-off" and reboot A9 at A9 menu... give it a few minutes to climb to 50kslos

citronick · · #90119

use the port for Equihash

citronick · · #90120

If all that fails..... Steve did say that there will be a brief downtime this afternoon to add Monero pool and other stuff - this may include the ZEC upgrade

citronick · · #90121

As I write this... my A9s are mining along quite nicely so its likely not a A9 problem...

what firmware do you have?

CSZiggy · · #90123

CSZiggy · · #90124

click the A9, save it to your desktop, log into your machine, go to the update, point it to that file and click update, then reboot.

CSZiggy · · #90125

citronick wrote: As I write this... my A9s are mining along quite nicely so its likely not a A9 problem...
no that means the pool is able to use A9s. Doesn’t mean his A9 isn’t a problem. Possibly the company sent him a defective model that needed repaired instead of a working one.

citronick · · #90126

Innosilicon ASICs quality wise much better than before... it would be rare if its DOA. Is it a used or new unit?

akenharris · · #90127

SHA-256 abruptly drops to 20 PH/s? Possible website error? My S9’s are have connectivity issues since I updated to Bitmain’s latest software(today), difficulty on dynamic

Chris Sokolowski · · #90128

Sorry for the service interruptions. We just released the latest version of our mining server, and I will be enabling Monero mining in a few hours. The problem was that because I had to restart our server, both the old and new servers were trying to execute the same query, and that caused our database to lock up. When that happened, the mining server dropped a lot of connections.

akenharris · · #90129

all good, thanks for the quick update

PolakCrypto · · #90130

mmmm lmk when that monero is live ill jump on @chris sokolowski

Is anyone else having issues with the equihash algorithm since the restarts? My miners are lucky to see 93% efficiency since late last night.

Tried it but shooting blanks - but port works!

okay, we just restarted the server and cryptonightv8 is now online

PolakCrypto · · #90145

im submittng valid shares fine on CNV8

Steve Sokolowski · · #90146

try using xmrig and see if there are any issues for you

PolakCrypto · · #90147

but im getting socket error protocol error 5...and losing connectiong here like every minute

PolakCrypto · · #90148

using xmr-stak

Steve Sokolowski · · #90149

if that works, then the problem is likely that SRB Miner uses a different protocol that we weren’t aware of

Steve Sokolowski · · #90150

or, that you need to change its configuration to use the one we’re using

PolakCrypto · · #90151

do you have a link @STEVE of what miner and config you used that works 100%?

wickimining · · #90152

using cryptodredge 0.9.4

GregoryGHarding · · #90153

@Steve Sokolowski : </strong> downloading now, will let you know

GregoryGHarding · · #90154

@Steve Sokolowski : </strong> no errors with XMRig

PolakCrypto · · #90155

i switched my algo on xmstak to "monero" intsead of "cryptonight-v8" like i had before..seems to be ok so far

PolakCrypto · · #90156

cryptodredge 0.9.4 works OK but i dont like its results or power use...its wonky as hell compared to xmr stak

PolakCrypto · · #90157

some of my cards have higher hash on Cdredge, then some have lower hash...

PolakCrypto · · #90158

Do we have to use Nicehash protocol for proper nonce on Cnightv8?

Steve Sokolowski · · #90159

PolakCrypto wrote: some of my cards have higher hash on Cdredge, then some have lower hash...
That’s probably because you haven’t submitted that many shares yet for it to determine your acutal hashrate - wait about 2 hours

PolakCrypto · · #90160

@steven thats a negatory bro...LOL not to call you out but thats old school with tales of ccminer to wait 2 hours for actual hash rate..

PolakCrypto · · #90161

im looking in the miner not pool side, Cdredge shows actual stats after like 1-5 minutes of cards

siberianbreaks · · #90162

100% nicehash negative delta for cryptonightv8

PolakCrypto · · #90163

??

PolakCrypto · · #90164

anyone been mining on Cnightv8 for more than a hour with no disconnects? if so what miner software are u using..xmrStak seems to be garbo/not fully compatible yet with prohashing

GregoryGHarding · · #90165

Make sure you use port 3341 instead of the "a=" password argument

can you share your cli for xmrig and what version of xmrig are you using? thanks

citronick · · #90169

i have tried SRBminer, cast-xmr, xmr-stak and xmrig -- all are resulting in hashing for a few minutes and then disconnects from PH

citronick · · #90170

cast-xmr-vega v1.5 -- seems to work best out of all the miners so far - but disconnects from pool - its not appearing in PH dashboard but at client side its still mining and submitting shares

PolakCrypto · · #90171

@citronick, the only miner ive gotten to stay connected constant is CryptoDredge 0.9.4

Im trying XMR-stak 2.5.2 newest version now since it has best hash for nvidia

PolakCrypto · · #90175

Or claims they fixed a bug that was causing poor hash rates on nvidia cards*

citronick · · #90176

PolakCrypto wrote: @citronick, the only miner ive gotten to stay connected constant is CryptoDredge 0.9.4
let me try that now

PolakCrypto · · #90177

@citronick it runs fine, might see better hash depending on your cards..some cards i have to take down to Intensity 5 in the cfg otherwise at intensity 6 i lose alot of hash

at end of day, need a stable miner for them AMD cards

PolakCrypto · · #90179

lol curious as to what miner they tested Cnighv8 on before implementing it on the pool, or what settings, usually they post a guide for any stand offish settings they need in particular for prohashing

citronick · · #90180

PolakCrypto wrote: lol curious as to what miner they tested Cnighv8 on before implementing it on the pool, or what settings, usually they post a guide for any stand offish settings they need in particular for prohashing
chris said that he is using xmrig with no issues

PolakCrypto · · #90181

@citronick didnt you say you got disconnected using xmrig?

citronick · · #90182

PolakCrypto wrote: @citronick didnt you say you got disconnected using xmrig?
I think I got it working with xmrig (following chris) -- on windows (Vega) and also on Linux (SMOS) with AMD cards and also NVIDIA cards. CLI as follows - for SMOS Linux.... "--algo cryptonight -o prohashing.com:3341 -u <putyouruseridhere> -p n=$rigName --donate-level=1 --print-time=5"

Steve Sokolowski · · #90183

there seems to be a problem with what these miner expect when an error occurs - they disconnect in that case

Steve Sokolowski · · #90184

if no error occurs, there is no issue

Steve Sokolowski · · #90185

Vance is looking at the problem now

PolakCrypto · · #90186

@citronick theres really nothing special about those settings, see if you still disconnect or get the socket error after a bit of mining

PolakCrypto · · #90187

xmrstak has a few options to mess with but i switched em all and still got disconnected like using stratum in front of prohashing.com in address..

PolakCrypto · · #90188

then xmrstak has a "

PolakCrypto · · #90189

"use nice hash" false, option I put to true but doesnt make any difference

citronick · · #90190

no disconnects with this plain settings, just ensure to use --algo cryptonight NOT monero. The Vegas are going strong

GregoryGHarding · · #90191

i have 480’s at 8 intensity doing around 600 each.. seem right?

Steve Sokolowski · · #90192

citronick wrote: no disconnects with this plain settings, just ensure to use --algo cryptonight NOT monero. The Vegas are going strong
this is with xmrstak?

xmrig -- i followed chris since he said he using xmrig without any issues. my vega rigs on WIN10 and xmrig doing well. however i see that hashrate reproting is lower on the PH dashboard vs miner side

GregoryGHarding · · #90194

Steve Sokolowski wrote:

using smr stak is fast switches to the backup which is prohashing 3333 with a=, and back again, with same parse error

GregoryGHarding · · #90195

xmrig uses more power and less hash

PolakCrypto · · #90196

i use to use xmrig but havent recently with nvidia..last version they updated a few months ago I used it and it was hard crashing

PolakCrypto · · #90197

with same clocks, and copying over existing specific block/config sizes for each card from other miner to xmrig..it was a pain

citronick · · #90198

PolakCrypto wrote: i use to use xmrig but havent recently with nvidia..last version they updated a few months ago I used it and it was hard crashing
same here, so my choice of miner was xmr-stak for Linux and SRBminer for WIN10

PolakCrypto · · #90199

@steve sokolowski I can confirm however despite half frequent disconnects I am getting proper earnings according to calculator on website...so far

PolakCrypto · · #90200

for cnv8....im just leaving it with my CFG having 2-3 inserts of prohashing for my pools CFG so it doesnt stall out for 15-20 seconds after getting disconnect, it just reconnects after getting disconnected immediately

GregoryGHarding · · #90201

the errors are occuring before share is submitted and after pool issues new work

citronick · · #90202

xmrig is showing very low hash....

Steve Sokolowski · · #90203

PolakCrypto wrote: @steve sokolowski I can confirm however despite half frequent disconnects I am getting proper earnings according to calculator on website...so far
that’s great - Vance is working on that issue and should have a solution within a day

PolakCrypto · · #90204

I do imagine tho without the disconnects id get a few % more on earnings..but hey its the 1st day of CNv8! im so excited tho!

PolakCrypto · · #90205

was thinking it wouldnt be released till middle of november..here we are Trick or Treat present for the 31st! lol
