@shieldwolf : a coin is a coin is a coin. No matter if its minable or not, it will follow the bitcoin trend. No matter if its tied to bitcoin mining or just value of the company
in the zuckberg senate hearing a senator said "COngress is good at two things, doing nothing and overeacrting" then he said congress is about to overreact after your testimony...
@ CSZiggy: True to a very large degree....for now. Bitcoin became valuable because of it's initial ability to be used independent of regulation. There is an huge value in any token able to be used to purchase real goods or services. (i.e. Venezualean economy)(Darknet). Any of it is only as valuable as the buying/selling population makes it and how much of it is available. If it can't be used to effectively 'buy' (including its own sale) anything then it becomes worthless
@shieldwolf - all true, however, the value is also dependent upon the goodwill of the community support, technical developments and leadership to champion the cause.
@shieldwolf, it is Ripple in particular that worries regarding price and coin value, only because banks do not necessarily have to use XRP to transfer value, they can, but do not have to
Like gold, many of these currencies have value due to actually representing wealth, 1 LTC is $114 bucks right now and I can buy things with it, same goes for BTC, and probably over 1000 of the 1500 or so coins out there
As to TRX, I am hopeful for any currency that can bring value to the system and a working product. I got started mining Siacoin, and they have a working product.
My take on TRX, is that it will be like netflix, but sure as anything, people who own IP, want to be paid, I should read more on it however, as maybe it more than just a content delivery system
Good to see folks talking on here more often, instead of just problems, as Steve and Chris have provided a means for that, I usually lurk, as my phone does not allow me to scroll back in the chat when I m logged in
@alim @holygoof - definitely good point on the XRP and correct on community, tech, and cause. Still wondering what kind of 'outside' regulation, if any, will do to a majority of tokens. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge frowner on FUD. Just trying to be realistic and forward looking on the right path for profitability

so its unfortunate that XRP does not require its use of XRP, other aspects of it I can forgive/forget because I do like the decentralized nature of this, but I do want to make money
I actually would be interested in what Steve and Chris are getting paid in, Steve talked alot about Ethereum before it skyrocketed last year and thats what they invested heavily in

@lestat9 - you need to register at an exchange or a place which trades. There are many options for this, but I would advise to check the reputation and testing a small amount before committing your entire earnings. If you are in the USA (or I assume if you have a US bank account), Prohashing can pay directly into it AFTER you set it up. There is also an option to have BTC deposited into Coinbase. If you choose this option, please ensure you BTC/BCH/ETH/LTC (at present). You can then link it to a bank account (and I assume a credit card) to take fiat.
Settings menu, add BTC and then you will see the option to connect your Coinbase account. You can also send your earnings straight to a Coinbase address.
Hello to everyone I am coming to this chat in hopes of connecting with someone that mines Verge. I am offering a reward for anyone that can help me find and get my verge 65400 in my wallet.
I asked a girl on here who said she worked at a seafood processing planet if the relationship would provide lobster on a regular basis and she said "No, but I’ve got plenty of crabs."
Well China has 81% of the worlds hash rate and thus in theory 81% of the coins mined..and they aint payin to taxes to anyone in the west..and also if crytocurrency catches on.. you know who will own it essentially all
Bitcoin mining. Chinese mining pools control more than 70% of the Bitcoin network’s collective hashrate. Here is our estimated* mining hash power breakdown by country: China - 71%India - 4%Georgia - 2%Iceland - 2%Venezuela - 2%USA - 1% 15% of the hash rate is missing from above chart, but it’s likely that China crontrols an even greater amount.
