if you forfeit on LLC they cant come take your home
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:21 AM UTC · #72202
sue me for....running power?
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:22 AM UTC · #72204
the power companys are loving us
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:22 AM UTC · #72205
slip on my sidewalk? thats homeowners

AppleMiner wrote: sue me for....running power? well I wanted to eventually sell some hashing power, and open a line of credit on it to pay for some solar energy and what not
NowMortimerJames · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:22 AM UTC · #72207
this of course is well down the line
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:22 AM UTC · #72208
there isnt anything for this I think I need to be protected from, If I dont pay the electric bill, they turn it off and im done.
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:23 AM UTC · #72209
at that point then maybe go LLC and expand it
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:23 AM UTC · #72210
for me its all self owned and self reported and self income
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:23 AM UTC · #72211
Theres no point in really doing much less u wanna pour lots of money into insurance and shit
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:23 AM UTC · #72213
450$ a year, covers me for 60K of my equipment.
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:24 AM UTC · #72215
but wouldnt home owners insurance cover it
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:24 AM UTC · #72216
does not cover computer equpiemnt over like $2000
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:25 AM UTC · #72217
thats what you need the marine-transport for, its like boats, and expensive computers and luxary items
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:25 AM UTC · #72220
so my home owners insruance doesnt even cover my server and my desktop
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:25 AM UTC · #72221
i looked into raising the homeowners, no amount would cover over 10K in miners
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:25 AM UTC · #72222
so went with the sub policy for way way cheaper speciifically to cover that
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:26 AM UTC · #72223
things you learn during a crash course of expanding a farm and getting it up and running
radobagam · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:26 AM UTC · #72224
guys do yourselves a favor, if you own a d3 run to grantagas. i’ve never broken $8 a day here. don’t waste your hash rate. everything else is great but at the end of the day profitability is king
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:26 AM UTC · #72225
along with cooling...power I acounted for, but cooling took a few tries to master
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:27 AM UTC · #72227
Im not that spent into mining yet im trying to do the minmal
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:27 AM UTC · #72228
yeah, but then you sit back...and pay the bills
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:27 AM UTC · #72230
and trying to make enough profit to pay for itself if it doesnt then its just pointless to go bigger
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:28 AM UTC · #72231
dont think i didnt spend 80 hours testing the rigs, swapping hashboards, maxing and mining the freq to min the errors and get best profits
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:28 AM UTC · #72232
yeah thats why i modded my firmware
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:28 AM UTC · #72233
only having 1 miner, you can OC til it starts to get some errors.
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:28 AM UTC · #72234
so i can lower the power consume
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:28 AM UTC · #72235
having 3, you can roulette the has boards about and put all the bad eggs in 1 case, and up the clocks on the other 2
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:29 AM UTC · #72236
but the miners are unpredictable though
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:29 AM UTC · #72237
like one restart there will be 0 errors
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:29 AM UTC · #72238
then you restart again 1000 errors
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:29 AM UTC · #72239
thats why I spent 80+ hours monitoring and recording each one at diff temps and freq and mixed and matched most of the miners 2X each to get them all setup right
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:30 AM UTC · #72240
but how long is the ROI for you then
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:30 AM UTC · #72241
my grandad would do that, in his garage...on his mustang
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:30 AM UTC · #72242
making the timing perfect, getting the belts just right
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:30 AM UTC · #72244
now I do it in the shop on the miner rigs
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:30 AM UTC · #72245
yeah i did that too on my camaro
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:31 AM UTC · #72246
but these miners are made like shit
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:31 AM UTC · #72247
Ive not had any issues, as long as they stay cool
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:31 AM UTC · #72248
when they start to get warmer they get issues
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:31 AM UTC · #72249
Mine are as cold are there gonna get
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:32 AM UTC · #72250
and i cant seem to get the error ratio right because its never the same
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:32 AM UTC · #72251
im thinking maybe its cgminer 4.10 giving me shit
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:33 AM UTC · #72254
if you saved that and swapped back to the original firmware
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:33 AM UTC · #72255
would it still have those issues?
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:33 AM UTC · #72257
and no im not getting any errors
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:33 AM UTC · #72258
cause i can restart mine 2 or 3 times and not get 1000 errors until they been running a few days.
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:34 AM UTC · #72260
after 4 or 5 days some of the boards may start to get into that range
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:34 AM UTC · #72261
yeah thats what it should be
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:34 AM UTC · #72262
but i wasnt even over clocked
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:34 AM UTC · #72263
and im overclocked now and 0 errors
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:35 AM UTC · #72264
maybe the undervolts wasnt enough to keep the computes going?
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 03:35 AM UTC · #72265
and it needed more and not so much less?
greaseman316 · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:10 AM UTC · #72273

here is what im using for ispace and multipool, but want to make switch to prohashing

-o stratum+tcp://prohashing.com:3333 -u "username" -p "blank" andthen my zeus arguments
deathlessdd · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:26 AM UTC · #72283
you need to put a=scrypt in password
myeportal · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:26 AM UTC · #72284
what works elsewhere wont work on prohashing, any good help is appreciated in advance
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:27 AM UTC · #72286
@deathlessdd : should default and not be needed for scypt
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:27 AM UTC · #72287
@myeportal : for username you used the account name from prohashing.com right
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:28 AM UTC · #72290
you can actually list your password out
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:28 AM UTC · #72291
the password for the miner isnt the same as on your acocunt
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:28 AM UTC · #72292
if it is thats the issue 8)
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:29 AM UTC · #72296
with the line paramenrs if you have 2 password argments have to quote the hwole thing up
AppleMiner · Wed Jan 03, 2018 04:29 AM UTC · #72298
can be trickey and messy at first
