I tried to use d=16384 doesn’t work always reverts to dynamic??

gnode · · #62277

Anybody able to use static diifs?

gnode · · #62278

*diffs

AppleMiner · · #62279

that value might be too low

AppleMiner · · #62280

try 2 or 4X that value

gnode · · #62281

Same problem with 32768. Supposedly this was fixed.

AppleMiner · · #62282

double it up again

AppleMiner · · #62283

i thought we were up to 64K diff for statics now

gnode · · #62284

No supposedly this was fixed for low hash rate miners but apparently not

AppleMiner · · #62285

oh when was this fixed, i didnt see anything

gnode · · #62286

Variable difficulty restrictions relaxed

gnode · · #62287

in news section

gnode · · #62288

Duh, I just read that again and it is dynamic not static

AppleMiner · · #62289

and what did we learn?

AppleMiner · · #62290

im joking, just kidding

gnode · · #62291

yeah the most important of the 3 R"s

AppleMiner · · #62292

remember kids, measure twice, cut once.

blastar · · #62293

gnode wrote: Anybody able to use static diifs?
No, it doesn’t work! I have been trying since last week, but it always switches dynamically and throws off my miner!

AppleMiner · · #62294

i always use them on mine

AppleMiner · · #62295

d=131072

gnode · · #62296

Not me I use the saying "I cut it twice and it was still too short"

AppleMiner · · #62297

not sure you can make wood grow...oh wait...yeah i guess you can grow wood

Steve Sokolowski · · #62298

I’m going to revert that change - it made things worse

blastar · · #62299

Steve S. advised me to use it but it non-functional. It is quite frustrating finding your miner hashing thin air most of the time lately!

AppleMiner · · #62300

i thought the help page said if you dont know what you are messing with to omit it completely

Foxx · · #62301

was the server restarted not too long ago?

Steve Sokolowski · · #62302

I’m going to revert the changes one server at a time

Steve Sokolowski · · #62303

this change didn’t help with live miners, so we’re back to square one

blastar · · #62304

AppleMiner wrote: i thought the help page said if you dont know what you are messing with to omit it completely
I did, but the dynamic difficulty is all over the place on my L3+, jumping from 64k up to 1.05m and back to 528k in a matter of 1-2 minutes!

blastar · · #62305

after th

blastar · · #62306

sorry... I meant to write: after that my L3+ stops hashing

Foxx · · #62307

yep i see Steve announced that the server was restarted the announcement came at 2L42 pm so im guessing that it was actually restarted around 2:30 the exact time my miners went down. i wish you guys wouldn’t just restart the server so willy nilly like that, everytime you do so, my D3’s will not reconnect.

Steve Sokolowski · · #62308

we hope to get to the point where we aren’t restarting the servers within a few days

Steve Sokolowski · · #62309

the only reason we’re doing it now is because we believe the increase in profitability will outweigh any losses due to restarting

Foxx · · #62310

i am becoming very dissillusioned with this pool. pm’s don’t get answered. way to many bugs and the constant server restarts are killing me. there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme nor reason to the maintenance here it is all very willy nilly if you ask me.

Foxx · · #62311

Steve Sokolowski wrote: the only reason we’re doing it now is because we believe the increase in profitability will outweigh any losses due to restarting
Steve, every time you restart the servers, you throw my machines off. i can’t be available to track them 24/7. your killing me here.

Foxx · · #62312

love you guys and want nothing more than to continue to support you but.....

HASHINGAWAY · · #62313

were you go?

HASHINGAWAY · · #62314

any test done on multipool

Steve Sokolowski · · #62315

doomguard · · #62316

hashrate dropped significantly after server restart?

Steve Sokolowski · · #62317

ok, we’re doing a full restart of all mining servers to revert

Steve Sokolowski · · #62318

it was good enough before

Steve Sokolowski · · #62319

these changes didn’t help live worker status and we’ll have to go back to trying things again

Steve Sokolowski · · #62320

Chris restarting now

Foxx · · #62322

another restart? oye!

deltasniper73 · · #62323

stratum is dead

Steve Sokolowski · · #62324

ok, that should be the end of the restarts for some time

rogerk3 · · #62325

dang it.

we would love to, but there are a lot of issues with things like live worker status and performance issues with the mining server that we need to fix first

Steve Sokolowski · · #62338

when there is enough manpower, we’ll be glad to do that

why i do not see any live worker ?

bpvarsity12 · · #62344

its being worked on hashinaway

grom1 · · #62345

Hi Steve, I agree with the previous post. Please have payout available in Ripple and IOTA.

holygoof · · #62346

Does anybody use coinbase here? and if so have you ever withdrawn funds into their cash account, I was wondering about something

HASHINGAWAY · · #62347

sure works

HASHINGAWAY · · #62348

pbtravo ok thnx they are back hashing away

cvmines2 · · #62349

Hello all. The creator of Awesome Miner has said this: Prohashing is very special as it uses the password field to specify algorithm information, and the Pool URL is always "prohashing.com:3333" no matter of what is being mined. Because of this special design of prohashing, it’s not possible for any software to look at the Pool URL and see which coin or algorithm is being mined - all of them look identical. This is a major drawback in the design of prohashing and it will for that reason never be supported with profit information from Awesome Miner.

cvmines2 · · #62350

Is there any way for the developers of prohashing to meet him in the middle somewhere somehow so we can get profit information shown?

tommygdawg · · #62351

yes and yes sold some ltc for gbp £1800, and transfered it to my UK bank account, transfer took about 4-5 working days, after the GBP to EUR conversion to my bank then EUR to GBP there i ended up with £1750

Roccoone · · #62354

just logged on and saw the payouts were half of what they were supposed to be. I’m new to Prohashing, is this normal, is the other half gone or will it be paid out today?

IzzyMoreno · · #62355

can you tell me when you will pay my btc? i wait till days with lowered threeshold

DopeAbsurdity · · #62356

uhhh website just went bananas?

The database seems to have locked up

Steve Sokolowski · · #62358

I needed to resize the column for bitcoin fees

Steve Sokolowski · · #62359

we never anticipated a value greater than 1000

rulovico · · #62360

down again

DopeAbsurdity · · #62361

just the Website I think -- miners are still working and Steve said it was database lockin up

rulovico · · #62362

no, half of mine show PH pool as Dead

DopeAbsurdity · · #62363

dunno mine are still going it seems

rulovico · · #62364

restart your miner and you will see, they have a cap of miners i think and you will need to wait until other pour guy is kick out

It blows my mind that you’re drowning in real pool problems and these people are asking you all these innocuous inconsequential questions!! HEY GUYS, THE POOL IS FUCKED UP AND STEVE IS TRYING TO FIX IT!!! STOP ASKING STUPID FUCKING QUESTIONS!!

Steve Sokolowski · · #62366

the website is back

Steve Sokolowski · · #62367

nothing happened to miners, the website locked up for a minute or two

Steve Sokolowski · · #62368

and I’m still working on live workers

holygoof · · #62369

@djliss thanks bud, i wanted to leave mine in coinbase itself to convert immediately to bitcoin, was wondering how long that would take. Saw that it takes a few days for bank xfer, and supposedly immediate for paypal

holygoof · · #62370

but then you gotta put back in for purchases bleh

BenRickert · · #62371

Thank you Steve.

holygoof · · #62372

hoping to avoid to the bank and back again :)
