dashRog · · #60865

just got my first miner, anyone know why only one worker is showing up? I caught 2 workers briefly but most of the time it shows 1 worker

blastar · · #60866

@dashRog hi, if you only have 1 miner, then you only see 1 worker.

dashRog · · #60867

ok, thanks @blastar, I thought that might be the case

ya i am curious bout this too

the chart is based on $ paid / hash spent making it on scrypt

AppleMiner · · #60870

so it does not reflect HOW or in what coin the users were paid out.

AppleMiner · · #60871

that is how much you could make mining straight LTC, like over on Litecoinpool

AppleMiner · · #60872

vs how much the users here were paid out using whatever coin payment they selected.

AppleMiner · · #60873

what they need here really, is a 1MH expected payout by coin instead of just 2 for scrypt

AppleMiner · · #60874

then you could select any coin they are currently paying out in and see how the dailys were for just those people.

AppleMiner · · #60875

as it stands, the profits of the people picking BTC are mixed with those picking LTC and ETH and Monero, and vertcoin, and everything else.

AppleMiner wrote: that is how much you could make mining straight LTC, like over on Litecoinpool
I have run this test... I make more on litecoinpool.org than what the line says.

dajackson33 · · #60877

can someone help explain this to me? if PH mines the most profitable coin and then exchanges it to LTC for example, shouldn’t the difficulty of LTC not matter? like if i had an orange and you had an apple and we traded, it shouldn’t matter how hard it was to pick your apple if the exchange rate was apples to oranges

dajackson33 · · #60878

my point is, the coins with the easiest mining difficulty should theoretically yield the most profit. but the past 36 hours have been garbage for me on here compared to the 2 days prior

AppleMiner · · #60879

@dajackson33 :  which part do you need help with?

AppleMiner · · #60880

you arent mining coins, you are mining $ then converting it to the coins you want. so you arent mining a percent of coins and converting to a percent of coins.

dajackson33 · · #60881

@AppleMiner : i saw a 30-40% drop off in payout over the last 36 hours

AppleMiner · · #60882

me too, why i moved my miners off also.

AppleMiner · · #60883

i put in a ticket but until i hear they are reimbursing or pay out, im not here either

dajackson33 · · #60884

of course you’re mining coins

dajackson33 · · #60885

then those coins get sold at an exchange for your payout coin

AppleMiner · · #60886

no, your not, your mining $ = to the coins and converting it

AppleMiner · · #60887

if you were mining coins, then the value of the coins you are mining would not impact it.

AppleMiner · · #60888

the value of the coins going up and down affects what coins get picked to be mined

AppleMiner · · #60889

so if it was set on coin percents you were mining, the price wouldnt affect the coins profitability making it higher or lower to be picked.

dajackson33 · · #60890

yes, and you mine those coins because they can be exchanged for your payout coin at a higher rate

AppleMiner · · #60891

the fact that a coin can move up or down based on the price that affects its profitibility means its price based not coin percent based right?

dajackson33 · · #60892

technically yes, but a coin with lower difficulty yields a higher percentage of that particular coin

dajackson33 · · #60893

and along with price, makes it more profitable

AppleMiner · · #60894

so at some point a pool that pays out a percent of a coin, vs the $ equivalent of the coin's value, will produce a higher rate.

AppleMiner · · #60895

PH pays 50$ a day, litecoin pool pays half a coin a day. Once the value gets over $100, then litecoin pool pays more.

AppleMiner · · #60896

once the value of LTC goes under a certain price, then PH pays more based on $ equals, over percents.

dajackson33 · · #60897

that’s assuming you’re taking a cash payout rather than a coin

AppleMiner · · #60898

no coin # = coin #

AppleMiner · · #60899

2 coins on Litecoinpool would be the same as 2 coins on PH

AppleMiner · · #60900

not looking at the cash looking at how many coins I get at the end of the day

AppleMiner · · #60901

AND since i take my payouts in LTC, its apples to apples

AppleMiner · · #60902

the payout for the one and the other are on the same metric.

dajackson33 · · #60903

that’s exactly my point--i would expect similar returns if i mined only LTC here vs. litecoinpool

AppleMiner · · #60904

really?

dajackson33 · · #60905

but because PH by default mines the most profitable coin, theoretically the payouts in coins should be higher

AppleMiner · · #60906

ok.

dajackson33 · · #60907

ok maybe a little less because of the fee

dajackson33 · · #60908

but you get what i’m saying

AppleMiner · · #60909

yes, because PH pays you $50 a day, and litecoin pool pays me .25 coins a day. But once LTC goes over $400 then litecoin pool then pays more as a percent vs the $ amount on PH.

dajackson33 · · #60910

i’m not following--PH is paying me in LTC so i don’t understand what you’re saying

AppleMiner · · #60911

there is a graph you can plot with 2 lines, and once they cross over, you swap to the other pool

AppleMiner · · #60912

yes, they pay you in litecoin equvalent $

AppleMiner · · #60913

not in litecoin equivlaent coin percents.

AppleMiner · · #60914

its if you want a $ exchange pool or a mining percent

AppleMiner · · #60915

at some point they cross and the opposite one becomes more profitable.

dajackson33 · · #60916

which should be inherently higher than litecoinpool based on the fact that you’re mining easier and more profitable coins rather than only LTC which has tripled in difficulty in the last month

AppleMiner · · #60917

$50 vs .25 coins.

AppleMiner · · #60918

$ vs percents.

dajackson33 · · #60919

if i’m mining more $’s worth, then i’d expect a higher LTC % based on the current exchange rate

AppleMiner · · #60920

you are also comparing a 101 pool with what fees? none? compared to a pool with 5%

AppleMiner · · #60921

Jackson, $50 does NOT equal .25 coins , ONCE the LTC value goes over $400.

dajackson33 · · #60922

understood

AppleMiner · · #60923

under a value, PH may have better profits, over a certain amount, the percent of the coin will outweight the profits PH pool can provide per day.

dajackson33 · · #60924

but the difficulty of mining LTC solely continues to skyrocket

dajackson33 · · #60925

which significantly impacts how much you can mine in any 24 hour period on litecoinpool

dajackson33 · · #60926

i’m saying it’s confusing to me how that would have any impact on PH

AppleMiner · · #60927

and it doesnt impact how much you can mine on PH?

dajackson33 · · #60928

not if you’re mining other coins

dajackson33 · · #60929

at lower difficulties

AppleMiner · · #60930

you dont think LTC is mined 90% on here?

dajackson33 · · #60931

i guess that’s what i’m confused about

dajackson33 · · #60932

if that’s true, what’s the point

dajackson33 · · #60933

of mining other coins

AppleMiner · · #60934

slightly better profits

AppleMiner · · #60935

but with 5% fees vs 101 with no fees, at some point it will overtake the other pool

AppleMiner · · #60936

this pool doesnt try to compete on price, it has other features and abilty ti payout in multi coins.

AppleMiner · · #60937

being legit they won't be able to compete with non filing tax code pools

doomguard · · #60938

I am mining ltc here and i chose ltc as my payout.

AppleMiner · · #60939

when i mine here, me also doom

doomguard · · #60940

Thought i can get more ltc here

AppleMiner · · #60941

possibly

AppleMiner · · #60942

depends which is higher, $ or percents for a given day.

mark · · #60943

@ AppleMiner « Fri 7:19 am » i put in a ticket but until i hear they are reimbursing or pay out, im not here either. We have moved all our workers to LTCpool to.

NYCrypto1 · · #60944

I have 12 L3 pointed at litecoinpool.org and I get 1.08 LTC per day. Depending on price of LTC, im making $300 per day there. If I pointed 12 here, I have an average payout of $230-$265. Apple is right, this site has different functions which other sites dont offer, so you will pay a premium for those features. If you want to make more on LTC then go to a LTC pool only

mark · · #60945

We move our L3’s back here a couple of days ago but with PH’s lack of stability and an unreliable payment structure we have had enough so have moved back to Litecoinpool . org

dottat · · #60946

just moved mine away from here

NYCrypto1 · · #60947

I still have miners pointed here, but thats so I can get payouts in BCC and ETH.. so I dont mind paying the premium

NYCrypto1 · · #60948

This site is very promising and like every growing company, they will go through some growing pains, but that doesnt mean I should lose profits in the meantime..:))

NYCrypto1 · · #60949

Mining is an ART

AppleMiner · · #60950

If mining is ART, then I must be Jackson Pollock

NYCrypto1 · · #60951

lol

mcrutche · · #60952

Apple- can you share that graph you were talking about?

AppleMiner · · #60953

which one?

AppleMiner · · #60954

payout or daily?

AppleMiner · · #60955

i talk about a lot of graphs

AppleMiner · · #60956

either the charts 1MH expected payout

AppleMiner · · #60957

or the earnings page payout by coin line / bar graph under that line graph

mcrutche · · #60958

AppleMiner « Fri 12:59 pm » or the earnings page payout by coin line / bar graph under that line graph.

mcrutche · · #60959

The earning page payout by coin line / bar graph under that line graph

AppleMiner · · #60960

on the earnings page

AppleMiner · · #60961

under your live payout

AppleMiner · · #60962

there are 2 graphs, 1 shows coins earnings per day on a line graph

AppleMiner · · #60963

if you hover on the data dots it shows the coins you earned for that day.

AppleMiner · · #60964

and what the $ payout was for those earned coins
