As a newbie, with only one D3 machine, can anybody tell me what the recent dialy earnings of an L3 have been?
Helotours · Sun Dec 31, 2017 02:14 PM UTC · #67607
Expect scrypt difficulty to rapidly increase in March, concurrent with the two large L3 releases. Unless LTC price increases, profitability on a daily basis will suffer. Hint: Go for the coins, not the money.
blakeman12 · Sun Dec 31, 2017 02:45 PM UTC · #67608
@Helotours : right, which coin though?

JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:19 PM UTC · #67634
people are playoing with real money in this game now,not just a few scrypt kiddies messing around like 2014-2015
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:19 PM UTC · #67635
so need to be real to the newbs
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:20 PM UTC · #67636
@Steve Sokolowski : </strong> any update on the errors ive produced?
greaseman316 · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:23 PM UTC · #67637
wow these cloud miners are just amazing i tell ya lololol
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:29 PM UTC · #67639
JiveTonto wrote: @Steve Sokolowski : </strong> any update on the errors ive produced? I made modifications to be released on January 7 that will throw that coin into error when the same block height is mined twice
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:29 PM UTC · #67640
we haven’t been able to identify the cause of the problem, but were able to add protections against it
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:32 PM UTC · #67641
ok and what about what i identifyed causing the high orphan rates with your pools compared to others
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:33 PM UTC · #67642
JiveTonto wrote: @deathlessdd : and i bloody hope those coins arnt worth anything yet, hence why immining them So your mining on coins that probably wont be worth anything ever?
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:33 PM UTC · #67643
instead of swamping the coin while its profitable, why not leave a few 100mhs allways churning away?
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:33 PM UTC · #67644
think youlll be on the good side of that dailyprofitline if you try it for 48 hours
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:34 PM UTC · #67646
just like bitcoin in 2014-2015
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:34 PM UTC · #67648
but you have to remeber volume is key
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:34 PM UTC · #67649
but bitcoin was of its only kind
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:34 PM UTC · #67650
since they all are related to bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:34 PM UTC · #67651
you just have to wait for the attached markets tomove
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:34 PM UTC · #67654
some coins just dissapear and never return though
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:35 PM UTC · #67656
I thought the samething with buzzcoin
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:35 PM UTC · #67660
i do coins allready on an exhnage
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #67661
yeah these are on exchange to
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #67662
mine volume when others are interested inprofit coins
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #67664
JiveTonto wrote: ok and what about what i identifyed causing the high orphan rates with your pools compared to others That’s due to the network connectivity problems and bandwidth limitations
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #67665
But more power to u for takin a huge risk
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #67666
that should improve significantly when the Enterprise class dedicated internet service is installed in March
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:37 PM UTC · #67667
@Steve Sokolowski : </strong> disagree with what ive witnessed, that is part factory yes
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:37 PM UTC · #67668
but I started mining zencash when it was 34cents and now its almost 60
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:37 PM UTC · #67669
but ive seen the daemons issue the same block to 6 miners and all report it found at the same time ( same block number/hieght) and only one of the miners gets it
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:38 PM UTC · #67671
JiveTonto wrote: but ive seen the daemons issue the same block to 6 miners and all report it found at the same time ( same block number/hieght) and only one of the miners gets it that’s a different issue from what you’re reporting
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:38 PM UTC · #67672
no its not,its caught in one of my screenshotsive got two posts running
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:38 PM UTC · #67674
you reported the same block being found over and over, which we investigated and added a failsafe against, and have a task in to figure out the cause in more detail later
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:39 PM UTC · #67675
let me find you a link ot post
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:39 PM UTC · #67676
if many customers are finding the same block within a second or two, that would be normal
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:39 PM UTC · #67677
sometimes a lot of solo miners choose the same coin and they compete with each other
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:41 PM UTC · #67679
under the picture of last blocks found
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:41 PM UTC · #67681
now once one of those blocks got accepted it moved on
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:41 PM UTC · #67682
ive also seen it with other coins on the live block reported page
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:42 PM UTC · #67683
so this is the same issue you reported
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:42 PM UTC · #67684
I’m not sure why you believe there are two issues
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:42 PM UTC · #67685
you reported one issue, that the same height is found multiple times
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:42 PM UTC · #67686
that’s the one that we added a failsafe against but weren’t able to identify the cause of
deathlessdd · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:42 PM UTC · #67687
isnt it just cause from thowing alot of hashing power at a coin that cant handle it
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:43 PM UTC · #67688
no, in these images, the found blocks occurred over the course of many minutes
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:43 PM UTC · #67689
im saying theres mulitibpe causes
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:43 PM UTC · #67691
it apears the same issue but isnt
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:43 PM UTC · #67692
to identify this problem, we’ll need to issue a new release to report debug information, and it’s not a serious enough issue to justify a release just for this
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67693
so the last blocks found image, you see differant finders over a period of 20 seconds
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67694
that the autoswitching pool put towards it
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67695
so we’ll add the debug information on January 7, and then hopefully we’ll figure out the problem for a fix later in January
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67696
yep, because the same block was found repeatedly
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67698
then once one got accepted
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67699
the rest were orphans and it moved on
Steve Sokolowski · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67700
there’s just one issue, and one cause - that the same block is being found repeatedly for many minutes or hours
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67701
now when i was doing ti solo
JiveTonto · Sun Dec 31, 2017 03:44 PM UTC · #67702
it was hanging and not moving on
