so how many watts does each 1070 card use under full load?
holygoof · Mon Nov 06, 2017 03:16 AM UTC · #45546
He bought that new mobo that can handle 19 cards...i guess with linux
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 03:16 AM UTC · #45547
do you have watt meters plugged into the wall to record the watts from all the sockets for the rig combined?
holygoof · Mon Nov 06, 2017 03:17 AM UTC · #45548
We used killawatt on his rig, was stsble with 7 cards 960 watts 30 hours
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 03:17 AM UTC · #45550
so 230 MH for 950 watts of power
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 03:18 AM UTC · #45551
as long as its a asic resistant coin it should be fine
holygoof · Mon Nov 06, 2017 03:18 AM UTC · #45552
I think so, maybe its more like 30-31.
holygoof · Mon Nov 06, 2017 03:19 AM UTC · #45554
He was dualmining Sia, but moved over to decred, think it lowered his etheteum speeds

ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 05:38 AM UTC · #45557
Definitely NOT a GOOD day here ...Sorry, but I am out of here ...Back to Nicehash ...
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 05:47 AM UTC · #45558
yeah i agree something is killing the hashrates, or stalling something overloaded
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 05:47 AM UTC · #45559
and i keep having miners bounced
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:04 AM UTC · #45560
Same thing with mine ...since yesterday night, when I decided to come back to try again ...again shitty day ... no go here for me
Aura89 · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:29 AM UTC · #45561
Not a good day? Interesting, it was one of my best days in awhile. Close to $20 with an L3+ again.
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:29 AM UTC · #45562
yesterday and day before were fine
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:29 AM UTC · #45563
checking today i was getting scrap
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:30 AM UTC · #45564
miners were bouncing on and off backup pools wouldnt stay connected
Aura89 · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:31 AM UTC · #45565
How long has "today" been going on? By that i mean, what day are we talking about? As far as i can tell, the "today" today, just started not that long ago.
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:33 AM UTC · #45568
whats your hashrate at now?
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:33 AM UTC · #45569
November 5 ...24 + 1 hours long day was "today" ...now is Nov 6 today ...
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:34 AM UTC · #45570
yeah and the whole, yesterday was a great payout, it should have been, 25 hours in it, yeah.
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:38 AM UTC · #45571
There was a serious storm and weather were the server is hosted. I assume the weather had something to do with it. I am sure they will post something about it... still most profitable place to mine regardless if it went down for a couple hours aggregate here and there. I have seen they paid people extra in the past for problems
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:38 AM UTC · #45572
Slowly coming back 2.39G out of 2.51G - 5xL3+ ...I am poor miner in comparison to you, Apple ...
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:38 AM UTC · #45573
yeah the storms passed from pittsburgh over to pilly and we got hit pretty hard
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:39 AM UTC · #45574
never lost power or net here on the miners
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:39 AM UTC · #45575
but i did see all the workers tank to 0 and no recorded live feed for a bit
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:39 AM UTC · #45576
so maybe a power flicker or restart
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:40 AM UTC · #45577
I am in Canada and we got hit by the same front you did, ours was just wet, not severe.. I seen tornado and severe thunderstorm watches. Hopefully they upgrade their systems to prevent this in future
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:40 AM UTC · #45578
Yeah ... the weather ... Trump ...Russia/Putin ...there is always something/somebody to blame for our/their mistakes ...right ?
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #45579
i have 2 ISPs for the miners. comcast and verzon
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #45580
but really, if during a storm both go out...im still helpless to do anything
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:41 AM UTC · #45582
I hope Bitmain loses power to their mining rigs for a few months lol
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:42 AM UTC · #45583
but if the failover is out also...nothing i can do
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:43 AM UTC · #45585
I would definitely think so! At least we would get ROI and profit! They must have hundreds and thousands of each version of machines, their next generation machines are already being used!
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:44 AM UTC · #45586
I am in Florida ...my miners have been mining during huricane Irma ...luckily no power or internet loss ...my cables are underground ...only loss was my carport... half of it ...
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:44 AM UTC · #45587
Is the Bitmain shed in a flood prone area? Cross my fingers lol
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:46 AM UTC · #45588
I have 4 L3+ and eight D3s on the way. There is rumours that the price is going to spike like bitcoin for dash, if you hold onto them
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:46 AM UTC · #45589
I want to sell at least 2 of the D3s I don’t know what to do!
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:46 AM UTC · #45590
you wont get but 1000-1100 for them
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:47 AM UTC · #45591
I’m in Canada, someone offered me $2200. But I’m still at a lost due to custom fees
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:47 AM UTC · #45592
I see some people selling them for 3k CAD
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:47 AM UTC · #45593
I will take 4 ...L3+ ...
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:48 AM UTC · #45594
maybe to people already in canada
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:48 AM UTC · #45596
I’ll give you a discount, 17k CAD lol
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:48 AM UTC · #45597
I will sell you 4 xL3+ for 16k ...Deal or no deal?
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:49 AM UTC · #45598
That covers my D3 cost I sent to Bitmain. Not including custom fees, and other accessories
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:49 AM UTC · #45601
Me too ...just messing up with you...
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:50 AM UTC · #45602
I make about $200-$400 a day just trading inn kraken
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:50 AM UTC · #45603
if you know ppl willing to pay 2000 for D3s let me know ill sell them some
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:51 AM UTC · #45604
You forgot to say "shitty" in front of Kraken...
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:51 AM UTC · #45606
Me too ...this time seriously ...
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:52 AM UTC · #45607
Why is Kraken shitty? What do you use?
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:53 AM UTC · #45608
Just my opinion, based on experience ...down every time you need them like a market start moving ...
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:54 AM UTC · #45609
What do you use to trade? They have new Beta version. They made some better improvements
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:54 AM UTC · #45610
I still use them ...GDAX is more stable, but only BTC, ETH and LTC ...no BCH ...others
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:56 AM UTC · #45611
Thanks I’ll check them out
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:56 AM UTC · #45612
I like EOS I’ve made modest profit off that
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:57 AM UTC · #45613
I’m not one of the lucky ones who made a lot of money off bitcoin so I’m a small player in the game
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:57 AM UTC · #45614
Yep, based on CryptoWatch ...it’s better, but still not a 100% stable... I am coming from Forex ...100% availability
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 06:59 AM UTC · #45615
I just looked at Gdax, they derive their prices from coinbase. In my opinion, so far, to my knowledge, Kraken has the Best Buy and sell prices for all coins
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:00 AM UTC · #45616
I can sell LTc on gdax for $54.11 or on kraken for $54.77. They make money just that way that’s why they have no fees
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:00 AM UTC · #45617
coinbase is the public face of the GDAX underlying exchange
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:01 AM UTC · #45618
when you buy sell on coinbase the prices are offset a few cents either way
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:01 AM UTC · #45619
Watch ETC -classic ...but they already moved up from 9.65-75 to 13.60 ... and XRP - ripple ...from 0.20 cents up to 0.25-0.30
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:01 AM UTC · #45620
and that -seller fee or buyer fee pays them monies
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:01 AM UTC · #45621
so the next question Minermoe, once you sell them
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:02 AM UTC · #45622
how do you get the cash out of kraken?
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:02 AM UTC · #45623
can you sell that into your paypal?
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:02 AM UTC · #45625
I withdraw and goes to my bank account
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:02 AM UTC · #45626
GDAX is the real exchange of Coinbase, which also sell , but as a retail...
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:03 AM UTC · #45627
gdax thru coinbase allows paypal deposits
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:03 AM UTC · #45628
Coinbase in Canada we can not sell, only buy. Kraken I can withdraw via ETF or wire transfer in any currency I want
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:03 AM UTC · #45629
You can also use Coinsquare and they support many deposit methods and withdraw methods. Email money transfer, PayPal, money order etc
confusedjtag · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:04 AM UTC · #45630
bitmain almost raped me by selling me alot of d3 im glad my partner was in favor other wise
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:04 AM UTC · #45631
I'd make a US paypal account, and link that to coinbase, then just send the USD to yourself CAD
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:04 AM UTC · #45632
Apple ...you DON’T ...except you got very lucky somehow to pass their verification process ...AND your bank somehow is "compatible" with their bank in Germany ...
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:05 AM UTC · #45633
@ Appleminer it doesn’t work that way, you can not withdraw USD to a CAD bank. We don’t have routing numbers we use a different banking system
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:06 AM UTC · #45635
So i cant send you 5 USD to your paypal address in canada?
ZiGen · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:06 AM UTC · #45636
Bof and Ally are NOT working with Kraken banking... I move only the coins with Kraken ...GDAX/Coinbase is my "fiat" highway ramp ...
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:06 AM UTC · #45637
i cant buy something on ebay from soemoen in canada? Sorry I call bullshit.
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:06 AM UTC · #45638
ive done it, just last month
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:06 AM UTC · #45639
both something from someone in canada and paid USD paypal for it
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:06 AM UTC · #45640
Yes you can pay and receive worldwide
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:07 AM UTC · #45642
so if I send you 5 USD what do you do with it?
Minermoe · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:07 AM UTC · #45643
Why would I use PayPal and pay their ridiculous fees? I would use Kraken and pay only $5 a withdraw
AppleMiner · Mon Nov 06, 2017 07:07 AM UTC · #45644
can you only respend it, no way to get the paypal in canada tied to your bank for a deposit?
