instead i got 2 D3 with nothing
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:40 AM UTC · #50292
and a huge customs bill for 490 dollars lol
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:41 AM UTC · #50295
Guys, my D3 is resetting every 5 secs if i plug the PSU for more than 2 hashboards.
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:41 AM UTC · #50296
and another when your psu’s arrive
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:41 AM UTC · #50297
sounds like it can’t supply enough juice
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:41 AM UTC · #50298
what is your psu rated at may?
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:42 AM UTC · #50304
u might wanna hook it to a meter
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:43 AM UTC · #50306
But i had two PSUs, i just received them today
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:43 AM UTC · #50307
either that or there is a fault on your d3, mabe a short on a board
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:43 AM UTC · #50308
cause i hooked mine to a 600watt psu and it ran one hashing board
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:43 AM UTC · #50311
i havent even gotten mine yet
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:44 AM UTC · #50313
The miner started doing that
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:44 AM UTC · #50314
when your in the miner tho do u see it hashing?
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:44 AM UTC · #50315
try one hashing board at a time and see which one gives issues
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:44 AM UTC · #50318
If i run one board, it is working well
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:45 AM UTC · #50320
As soon as i run two boards, the miner resets
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:45 AM UTC · #50323
None of the boards stay up 80
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:46 AM UTC · #50324
have you tried all the hashing boards 1 at once
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:46 AM UTC · #50325
im running mine currently on a 1000watt psu
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:46 AM UTC · #50327
Test each board, they all are working, miner is not resetting
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:46 AM UTC · #50329
firmware on control board?
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:46 AM UTC · #50330
Run both or three boards, reset every 5s
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:46 AM UTC · #50331
maybe its drawing to many amps
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:47 AM UTC · #50332
But when you say resetting is it losing connection?
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:47 AM UTC · #50333
So the room i am using did not supply enough amp or watt?
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:48 AM UTC · #50336
Test each board on the same pool, the pool is still online
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:48 AM UTC · #50338
Giving hashrate each normally
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:48 AM UTC · #50339
best way to test is having a watt meter so u know
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:48 AM UTC · #50340
have you got an electric cooker outlet, mabe try that
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:49 AM UTC · #50342
The hell is electric cooker outlet
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:49 AM UTC · #50343
I have a normal outlet just as you plug your computer and shit
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:49 AM UTC · #50344
but i dont think it would be feed power
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:50 AM UTC · #50346
we have high amp outlets in the uk for electric stove / cooker
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:50 AM UTC · #50347
if it aint hard wired in
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:51 AM UTC · #50348
I am still waiting for my second miner, if it still does the same thing, then i guess i have to call the electrician?
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:51 AM UTC · #50349
well id buy a watt meter first
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:52 AM UTC · #50351
i’m drawing 2kw from a ring main socket and its fine, my dryer is 2800 though
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:52 AM UTC · #50352
hardwired is if u wanna install a 240volt
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:52 AM UTC · #50353
yeah id get a meter to see what its drawing before anything else
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:53 AM UTC · #50354
So what should i test if i have a metter?
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:53 AM UTC · #50356
how much amps or wattage its drawing
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:53 AM UTC · #50357
it will probably give you w
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:53 AM UTC · #50358
but it shouldnt be pulling more then 1600 watts..
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:54 AM UTC · #50359
i mean i plugged my D3 into a 1000watt psu and it was pulling around 1290
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:54 AM UTC · #50360
Before plug in your miner, does the meter tell you the total of amps or watts in your room?
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:54 AM UTC · #50362
just what is plugged into it
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:55 AM UTC · #50363
How does it tell you if you can run your miner as certain amps or watts or not?
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:55 AM UTC · #50364
but may I would log into the miner and goto advanced and underclock it to 481
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:55 AM UTC · #50365
there is a button the the watt meter that will allow you to see it
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:56 AM UTC · #50368
The fans did not set to any %
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:56 AM UTC · #50369
this is my gpu rig draw currently through a tp link smart plg with power meter, it comes with an app
https://imgur.com/7b3yKsP deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:59 AM UTC · #50371
funny yours is almost the same watt as mine
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 01:59 AM UTC · #50372
So your miner drawn total of 1056w as of now?
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:00 AM UTC · #50375
Is set the low frequency fixing this?
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:00 AM UTC · #50376
since i only have a 1000watt psu
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:01 AM UTC · #50378
But bitmain’s psu is 1600w, right?
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:01 AM UTC · #50380
i have got all cards overclocked lol
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:01 AM UTC · #50381
but no way of knowing how much the D3 is pulling
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:02 AM UTC · #50382
So i guess my room’s outlet wasn’t capable of drawing more than 1000w or something
djliss · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:02 AM UTC · #50384
if you have 2 psu’s try 2 hashing boards with 1 and the rest on the other, see if it makes any diffrence
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:03 AM UTC · #50385
also did you plug every plug on the D3 may?
may142012 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:03 AM UTC · #50386
Yeah, 3 pins on each board and 1 for the controler
armenia72 · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:04 AM UTC · #50387
why does the pool keep going down
deathlessdd · Sat Nov 25, 2017 02:04 AM UTC · #50388
I would try the underclocking and see if it stays running
