it looks like it, im hashing according to my logs but PH website tells me no valid shares and not earning anything.
piet · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:19 PM UTC · #44216
i will restart some miners, see if it helps...
Skarda · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:22 PM UTC · #44217
My Mh/s on my L3s is hanging sub par at 200 to 300mh. they should read at least 550mh/s. efficiency says 90%. Anyone know whats up with tha?
th3dark · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:28 PM UTC · #44218
Skarda: I believe that your reported MH/s change a lot according to the specific coin that you mine at that time.
th3dark · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:28 PM UTC · #44219
200 is too low of course
th3dark · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:29 PM UTC · #44220
Mine is OCed @ 620MH/s and I now see it @ 533 MH/s on site
memomix · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:33 PM UTC · #44222
@th3dark : how did you OC with which supply?
Jakeg5280 · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:53 PM UTC · #44223
memomix: you can turn up the Frequency on most miners and OC them. L3+ can be overclocked to atleast 600mhs most of the time. some can go as high as 620 like this guy. i only get 610 max outta mine. keep mine at about 600
Jakeg5280 · Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:54 PM UTC · #44224
why can i make $24 off of my L3+ on NH and only $19.5 here on PH? Everyone pointing hash here from NH is losing money
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 30, 2017 01:08 PM UTC · #44225
its not the HW issues you have to be aware of for OCing, its the rejected rates that seem to factor in.
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 30, 2017 01:09 PM UTC · #44226
you can turn it up to 600 or 620, and still have 0 HW errors, but if the rejected rates goes up, that will mess with the hashing numbers you get credit for it seemed to me.
Jakeg5280 · Mon Oct 30, 2017 01:20 PM UTC · #44227
yeah i keep my HW errors around .0004%-.0006% with it clocked up a bit. even at stock setting i got a few errors here and there. small increase in HW errors for 20% increase in hash power
memomix · Mon Oct 30, 2017 01:26 PM UTC · #44228
@Jakeg5280 : you overclocked with APW3++ PSU?
memomix · Mon Oct 30, 2017 01:28 PM UTC · #44229
I overclocked my D3 but I got many HW and x000x-xx00x0 soething like errors.. I’m just turn up to 537 M bu didn’t worked with APW3++
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 30, 2017 02:06 PM UTC · #44231
so the apw3++ goes up to 1600

MrHollowPoints · Mon Oct 30, 2017 03:31 PM UTC · #44235
If you OC the Antminer you will void warranty
MrHollowPoints · Mon Oct 30, 2017 03:32 PM UTC · #44236
Best believe Bitmain has a way to tell if you have done it
memomix · Mon Oct 30, 2017 03:33 PM UTC · #44237
so for OC,connecting the pin changes is important?
malcolmputer · Mon Oct 30, 2017 03:36 PM UTC · #44238
It’s been 15 minutes of mining, and I’m still seeing "No Valid Shares Yet". What am I doing wrong?
memomix · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:01 PM UTC · #44241
I tried again to OC but I got HW hugely errors in 1 minute.. why this happening? my electirc is 220v.

confusedjtag · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:27 PM UTC · #44245
Also this pool was causing 6 of my machines to fault which is just insane
confusedjtag · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:29 PM UTC · #44246
if one miner on a Ethernet switch is faulting from a loose Ethernet wire or plug in could that cause them all to fault besides the other units on different hubs?

im confused about how to read the live profitability chart for scrypt v. X11 hashing
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:43 PM UTC · #44248
3.65c for scrypt and .07c for X11
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:44 PM UTC · #44249
is that saying that scrypt hashing is FIFTY TWO times more profitable than x11?

Lost a board a one month old L3+ last night. Make me sad
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:51 PM UTC · #44252
3moose did you overclock it? how did you lose the board?
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:53 PM UTC · #44253
No, it was a thermal cooling issue. Internet went out, so the machines went into standby... and room cooled to like 40 degrees. They say cold for 3 hours... condensation formed... and when I restarted the mine 6 blew. 5 were ok, one lost a board.
th3dark · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:55 PM UTC · #44254
3moose? Care to answer previous qustion?
th3dark · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:55 PM UTC · #44255
Oh I just saw your answer. Sorry
th3dark · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:56 PM UTC · #44257
Do you have your miners overclocked?
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:56 PM UTC · #44258
3moose damn that sucks. it got so cold that condensation formed!? where are you antartica?
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:56 PM UTC · #44259
Cold last night on the east coast.
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:57 PM UTC · #44260
I only have one overclocked for testing.
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:57 PM UTC · #44261
its possible the hashing board can be serviced/repaired
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:58 PM UTC · #44262
I have claim in... I can’t open it until they let me... and I suspect I will see a burnt board. If it is... they won’t replace it.
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:58 PM UTC · #44263
how is the overclocked testing going?
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:59 PM UTC · #44264
L3+ might still be profitable even at 75% hashing
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 04:59 PM UTC · #44265
The OC is fine. I will rotate my machines in two months... I think I want to keep them from being OC so I can offer the bitmain warr
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:02 PM UTC · #44269
you can run profitability projections assuming OC will reduce miner lifetime by X days/weeks/months etc
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:03 PM UTC · #44270
if OC increases hashing by 10% but reduces miner lifetime by 9% then its a good move
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:03 PM UTC · #44271
of course hard to predict how OC will impact miner lifespan
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:12 PM UTC · #44272

sublimeguy wrote: thanks for your reply to my question re live profitability Happy to help.
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:21 PM UTC · #44274
I have run a test on NH and did show that 20% overclock does not equate to 20% increase in shares.
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:21 PM UTC · #44275
even at 100% acceptance.
3Moose · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:22 PM UTC · #44277
But, I don’t want to read to much into one test. I will try it again.
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:34 PM UTC · #44278
yeah youd have to take some averages
sublimeguy · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:35 PM UTC · #44279
i guess x% OC wouldnt necessarily = x% increase in hashing power, youd probably have to play around with that
memomix · Mon Oct 30, 2017 05:44 PM UTC · #44280
I think Nicehas are not good.. running at low hashrate and When I try to work with there then the sound of my device starts to rise..not a very profitable pool just my opinion.

selling 4x D3s $1400 each with power supply, free shipping anywhere in the States
Paul_sq · Mon Oct 30, 2017 06:25 PM UTC · #44283
does the reward for mining get reflected by the price of the coin, or is it a set rate to miners? Ie. if LTC was at $200 would miners get paid more? Thanks.

jupjup · Mon Oct 30, 2017 07:48 PM UTC · #44289
No OC. My L3+ is running for a month or so, performing around 98% normally, but hitting lower numbers for the last days...

Poolpuppy wrote: PH is not great atm could that translate in lower miner efficiency?

i think it has more to do with how many workers are connected looking for coins.
AppleMiner · Mon Oct 30, 2017 08:03 PM UTC · #44294
$14-$16 for a L3+ is about normal for now

I’m looking at buying some hash power from some cloud mining companies. Which is the most profitable?
TheoD914 · Mon Oct 30, 2017 11:24 PM UTC · #44301
neither, cloud mining = you taking care of somebody elses expenses as you get rewarded in small amount that can be worth it but after waiting a long time
ProHasher1111 · Mon Oct 30, 2017 11:25 PM UTC · #44302
I’ve been using Hashflare, and getting good results. I’m looking for others
TheoD914 · Mon Oct 30, 2017 11:25 PM UTC · #44303
you should just download some coin apps, choose a few you like, why do you like them? what intensives makes you believe those coins will go up? a good example is Steller Lumens or whatever its called, they are teamed up with IBM which last nights baseball game in USA there was a new commercial adveritising the use of blockchain technology

so just looking at Hashflare, you pay 7.50 dollars per MH vs buying a miner such as a L3+ with 504 MH and your saving half the expenses
