and I plugged them into wall outlets all around
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:06 PM UTC · #29414
then i turned off all the breakers in the house
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:06 PM UTC · #29416
and i went around and mapped out all the outlets that were on that circuit
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:07 PM UTC · #29417
then i flipped it off and the next one on...repeat, repeat
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:07 PM UTC · #29418
found out what all fuses when to where and what all I had plugged into each
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:07 PM UTC · #29419
added up the watts, converted to 110 amps, found out my loads
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:07 PM UTC · #29420
another way, plug in a watt meter and read it, it should even have amp conversion
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:07 PM UTC · #29421
you prolly shouldnt be running a miner without a watt meter and a IR temp gun imo
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:08 PM UTC · #29422
May the fuses should have a number on them
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:09 PM UTC · #29427
your water heater or dryer / stove may be on a double fuse, it has 2 levels when you activate it, those are 220 lines.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:09 PM UTC · #29428
the rest that only have a single level throw are your 110 lines.
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:10 PM UTC · #29429
oh, my stove runs on 3 phases ^^
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:11 PM UTC · #29431
Sweden, we got lower amps but thats what u get with running lower volt u have to up the amps.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:12 PM UTC · #29432
The us has stupid children that like to lick light sockets so we cant have cheaper more dangerous power in our homes.
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:13 PM UTC · #29433
my stove is 10kw 360-420 volt on 16 amps, some laundry machines/dryers runs on same. rest of house is 220 10 amps
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:13 PM UTC · #29434
yeah damned EU most of it is 220, makes running a mining system a bit easier
may142012 · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:14 PM UTC · #29435
Which watt meter are you using?
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:14 PM UTC · #29436
and Im sure your cooling costs are....free, just open a window
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:14 PM UTC · #29437
didnt know american children where more stupid then other nations, i tend to think it happens after they grow up ^^ we got child safe wall sockets.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:14 PM UTC · #29438
some cheapo white ebay 6 dollar one
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:15 PM UTC · #29439
we started to make GFI sockets more code, and some newer places install only those now.
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:15 PM UTC · #29440
hehe atleast half of the year yeah, no problem at all, im basically heating my home with this machines, turning my new heatpump off... ^^ should have spend those 10k on rigs instead.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:16 PM UTC · #29441
so in 200 years when all the old houses have all been replaced and the new circuits are in, and wireless power has already happened for 10 years, then USA will be ready to swap to 220V.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:16 PM UTC · #29442
soon as we learn that metric system....
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:16 PM UTC · #29443
rofl, brits are not much better on that part
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:17 PM UTC · #29444
i think we inherited it form them
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:17 PM UTC · #29445
they so scared of the metric system they are leaving EU
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:17 PM UTC · #29446
My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead and thats the way I likes it!
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:18 PM UTC · #29450
here in europe we try to confuse eachother by measuring wind speed either in Meter per second, and then some other nation decide we measure it km per hour. imagine confusion when watching some foregin news on winds... RUN!!
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:19 PM UTC · #29451
yes that will let you see what load you have on the 110 lines
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:19 PM UTC · #29452
with the power you have now, you plug that power into that transformer, then that transformer into that white reader
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:20 PM UTC · #29453
and then that reader into the wall outlet, and you do that for each miner
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:20 PM UTC · #29454
after you get readings from 1 you can use the watt meter on the other, only need to get a reading after its been up for 2 hours steady or so
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:20 PM UTC · #29455
then you shouldnt really have to check them again unless you start to overclock
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:21 PM UTC · #29456
overclocking them will bring their consumption up, keep in mind.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:21 PM UTC · #29457
but as it is, if your circuits are 15 amps, you will have 2 miners plugged into 2 fues and nothing else on them
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:21 PM UTC · #29458
so you cant plug 1 into the living room if you have a TV, cable box, dvd, playstation plugged into there also.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:21 PM UTC · #29459
each miner would have to run on its own circuits
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:22 PM UTC · #29460
my advice, buy flashlights and batteries
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:22 PM UTC · #29461
it may get dark with no lights on.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:22 PM UTC · #29462
you could bypass the transfomrers and powers and get a power that goes right into the 110 lines
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:22 PM UTC · #29463
or just get a low energy LED’s u can afford another 7 watts on the fuse ^^
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:22 PM UTC · #29464
and just go miner, power, watt reader, wall outlet
may142012 · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:23 PM UTC · #29465
I have a room with nothing plugged in the outlets.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:23 PM UTC · #29466
its the finding 2 circuits to run them on with nothing else on those lines
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:23 PM UTC · #29467
well most rooms are one fuse.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:23 PM UTC · #29468
kitchen ones are bad, the microwaves pop 1-1.2KWs when those run
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:23 PM UTC · #29469
a blender toaster iron, those all run amps
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:24 PM UTC · #29470
do what he suggested, map ur sockets, find two sockets that u can use, that’s free from other loads.
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:24 PM UTC · #29471
that’s it. use those two, if u dont have any, maybe u should have two new circuits put in for this.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:25 PM UTC · #29472
thats if they even have amps to spare to run lines or have access
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:25 PM UTC · #29473
i made several new circuits and new fuses, but i have like 6 free fuse slots in my garage to hook into so i was good.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:25 PM UTC · #29474
if its an...im renting this apartment...then its sorta what it is
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:26 PM UTC · #29475
if its your own house and you have amps to spare, or even if you have just 1 free circuit
may142012 · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:26 PM UTC · #29476
Yeah i am owning the house
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:26 PM UTC · #29477
well, im saying put in new lines. up the main fuse. renting a nother place seems more expensive...
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:26 PM UTC · #29478
you can get that 1 15 amp load on 110 converted to a 220 line and run both miners off it without any transformers
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:27 PM UTC · #29479
if May has 100 amp service coming in, to raise that to 200 amp service is like $2000
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:27 PM UTC · #29480
unless you know people but if you have to hire someone to up the amps coming in....yeah
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:28 PM UTC · #29481
if u plan on mining in the long run you might consider the better more permanent solution if its in pricerange.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:28 PM UTC · #29482
put in new lines not always viable or cheap option
mycide · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:29 PM UTC · #29484
sounds a lot, but maybe its not on 110?
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:29 PM UTC · #29485
if its just 2 miners, find 1 free circuit you have nothing else on, and get it converted to 220 and run both miners direct to that line without that transfomer being needed on either.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:29 PM UTC · #29486
we have 220 coming in, on 100 or 200 amp service
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:30 PM UTC · #29487
and you can get that raised up to more, but 100 was the old like pre 50s standard and 200 is more modern
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:30 PM UTC · #29488
so it depends when the house was made/rewired
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:30 PM UTC · #29489
so the 220 gets split down to 110 lines, and some stays at 220 for bigger items, heater, dryer
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:30 PM UTC · #29490
but the amps always stay the same
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:31 PM UTC · #29491
100 amps in is all the more you have to work with
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:31 PM UTC · #29492
so if you split off say 35 for the big stuff, that gives you 65left..., 15, 15, 15, 20
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:32 PM UTC · #29493
if you find one of them 15s is free and make it a 220 @ 15 amps, you should be ok to run both miners off that 1 circuit at 220
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:34 PM UTC · #29494
GL may, hope you make out ok.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:34 PM UTC · #29495
wonder how many people bought 3 or 4 machines and never thought about how they were going to run that many
may142012 · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:37 PM UTC · #29496
Hey, i have a friend willing to sell 5 D3s on Ebay listed at $100 each, ready to ship, but accept btc as payment only, some guy bought all 5 and committed to pay btc outside eBay. After he sent 3.75 btc to my friend’s wallet address, then called my friend a scammer because my friend refunded his paypal money, and sent this email threat: "I see you canceled the order. An investigation will find you and prosecute you, in one form or another. Here is the bitcoin address for you to send the 3.75 bitcoin I paid you immediately. 37VivxT8THZTHr3S2CtUh5jp25hKnvoa2F"
may142012 · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:39 PM UTC · #29497
My friend is now afraid that he is traceable with bitcoin address or where he lives to get arrest.
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:40 PM UTC · #29498
why did he refund the paypal?
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:41 PM UTC · #29500
so he took the btc? did he ship the miners?
may142012 · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:42 PM UTC · #29501
Because he doesn’t want to deal with Paypal or the other guy, so he canceled them
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:43 PM UTC · #29504
so if he was paid and cancelled he should return it all
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:43 PM UTC · #29505
or...your friend really IS a scammer and plans to keep the illegally gotten funds
may142012 · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:44 PM UTC · #29506
So will he get arrest if he did not return the btc?
hashingpro · Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:45 PM UTC · #29511
to receive the BTC payment?
