my 2 L3+ are alive on 3333, but dead on 443, for around 30 min now...
hashingpro · Thu Sep 14, 2017 10:57 PM UTC · #24596
maybe the VPN they were putting in?
Conrad · Thu Sep 14, 2017 10:59 PM UTC · #24597
So I’m trying solo mining and I’m getting paid in the coin that i’m mining, will PH convert it still for payout to the coin of my choice?
frphm · Thu Sep 14, 2017 11:31 PM UTC · #24598
GGH banned me from the slack
frphm · Thu Sep 14, 2017 11:31 PM UTC · #24599
Just wanted to let everyone know

Hello, anyone on here use an APW5 with two miners?
frphm · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:09 AM UTC · #24606
Steve, GGH's behavior on the "Prohashing" slack reflects your business. Rethink this weird situation please
Forum notification · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:09 AM UTC · #24607
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:12 AM UTC · #24609
they did have a model of APW5++ that had enough cables to run 2
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:13 AM UTC · #24610
but please do not use splitters to make enough plugs happen
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:13 AM UTC · #24611
that is just as bad as only plugging in 2 plugs to each hashboard
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:13 AM UTC · #24612
err 1 plug instead of 2 to each hashboard
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:14 AM UTC · #24613
@frphm isnt the GGH slack his own private channel?
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:15 AM UTC · #24614
liike me having a ventrilo server or teamspeak, and I can kick anyone anytime i want.
GenotypeJim · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:15 AM UTC · #24615
Bitmain have said its ok, just wanting to hear from anyone who's done it
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:15 AM UTC · #24616
i would love to see where they said OK
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:16 AM UTC · #24617
I read if you dont have them all plugged in you can void the warrenty
GenotypeJim · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:16 AM UTC · #24618
Yeah I'm talking about using y splitters
frphm · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:16 AM UTC · #24619
hashingpro wrote: @frphm isnt the GGH slack his own private channel? It is endorsed by the brothers as an unofficial support channel. So no, it is not his personal Slack. He runs it, but it represents Prohashing.
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:17 AM UTC · #24620
unofficial--meaning they have no ties, not owned, they have no say so
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:17 AM UTC · #24621
if it were OFFICIAL support channel you may have something
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:18 AM UTC · #24622
My ventrilo is an UNOFFICIAL chat channel, come in there, ill kick you and you can be upset over that if you want, just saying its NON official
frphm · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:19 AM UTC · #24623
It has the Prohashing name, and is in a post made by Steve as a method of receiving support. It is endorsed by the Prohashing business entity
platoday · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:19 AM UTC · #24624
I want to complain about efficiency being around 90% but BTC is around 3300$ so whatever!
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:19 AM UTC · #24625
@geno we are still suing KNC miners over the Titans, they only PUT 1 pci-e connector on a board.
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:19 AM UTC · #24626
let me tell you about putting over 250 power through a pci-e line.
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:20 AM UTC · #24627
and why you shuold be drawing 500 through that line to split it into two 250s.
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:20 AM UTC · #24628
and what color that will make the connectors, the wires, the miner, the walls, the curtains...
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:21 AM UTC · #24629
*HINT* its any color you want, so long as its black.
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:21 AM UTC · #24630
@frphm im not sure there IS a prohasing entity
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:21 AM UTC · #24631
more like a club or a group
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #24632
hence the, we will move ahead with official annoumcments once we deal with a lawyer.
frphm · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #24633
Steve's reasoning for not taking over the Slack (this was passed on by GGH) was that he wanted it to be a place where we could speak freely. Well, I just got banned for that, so that goal is not being accomplished.
frphm · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:22 AM UTC · #24634
hashingpro wrote: more like a club or a group Incorrect, Prohashing is a registered company that pays taxes.
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:23 AM UTC · #24635
you know more of it than i do apparetnly
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:23 AM UTC · #24636
Guess we have to wait for GGH to come in and tell his side of it
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:23 AM UTC · #24637
there are always 3 sides to a story, I need to hear the other one
lhfx21 · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:25 AM UTC · #24639
Hello, anyone is having a better performace using the d parameter with the L3+? Thanks in advance
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:33 AM UTC · #24640
yes, when I have valid shares anyways
lhfx21 · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:35 AM UTC · #24641
what d value do you use?
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:42 AM UTC · #24642
Yes, I am curious of d valuse vs auto d
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:42 AM UTC · #24643
and why does it make a difference
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:44 AM UTC · #24645
and why does it make a difference
bluelemonadecrypto · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:45 AM UTC · #24646
it means you get less number of shares to try and solve but larger portions of the "puzzle" but statistacally should all work out but can be better because each share has a more or less fixed overhead to transact so many small shares is inneficient if yo have the computational power to do larger ones
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:46 AM UTC · #24647
so Im a total noob. Im trying to cash out my $2 - but there’s not a "cash out now" button.
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:46 AM UTC · #24648
is there a link with instructions or something someone can share?
bluelemonadecrypto · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:47 AM UTC · #24649
I moved away from auto d because when they introduced the scheme booting off a miner that had d too small (submitting shares too often which can overload things)
bluelemonadecrypto · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:47 AM UTC · #24650
no cash out now button, you have to generate min balance and wait for the daily payouts
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:48 AM UTC · #24651
I’m already behind the min payout balance - I didn’t realize they only pay out once per day
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:48 AM UTC · #24652
Obviously I didn’t read the fine print
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:49 AM UTC · #24654
well good news, the minimum is as low as a pool comes which is nice if your looking to switch coins or move on
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:53 AM UTC · #24655
I have been using p2pool and coin mine. Im not sure which is better - or if there is such thing as better
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:53 AM UTC · #24656
I have only had my miners for about a week - still learning
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:54 AM UTC · #24657
steep but interesting learning curve
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:54 AM UTC · #24658
Yeah. Plus I got in right before the big down-turn. So that’s fun
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:57 AM UTC · #24659
any suggestions? I am using Baikal miners. x11
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:57 AM UTC · #24660
stick half your miners at each place and compare the daily outputs
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:58 AM UTC · #24662
I have 2 miners. but one of the raspberry pie things showed up broken. They are supposed to be sending a new one - but right now both miners are daisy chained - so I can only do one pool at a time
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:59 AM UTC · #24663
Well I love pro hash here not sure if p2p would be better
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:04 AM UTC · #24665
myself I love $$$ and ill go where its paying the most. And still sit in here and chat.
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:05 AM UTC · #24667
so where are you making more
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:05 AM UTC · #24668
since the L3+s wouldnt connect for over an hour, anypolace today
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:05 AM UTC · #24669
well that’s the thing - with the value of dash going down so fast - it’s hard to compare
Skarda · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:05 AM UTC · #24670
btw are more L3s going on sale tonight at bitmain or was that yesterday, cant figure out the time
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:06 AM UTC · #24673
once I get the other raspberry pie and can hook up to 2 pools at once I will be able to compare
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:07 AM UTC · #24674
Im trying to get in line for a D3 o maybe an innosilicone A5
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:07 AM UTC · #24677
at 300 a month going to take 5-7 months to pay those off too
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:08 AM UTC · #24679
they tried to do one last night, some captcha error
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:09 AM UTC · #24680
I have been on pro hash for 2 hours - 45 minutes. earned $3.28
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:10 AM UTC · #24681
that seems about the same as p2pool
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:10 AM UTC · #24682
maybe even a little less -
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:10 AM UTC · #24683
unless you have a miner on each site, please do not make that assumption
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:11 AM UTC · #24684
at the same time, let me clarify that
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:11 AM UTC · #24685
I will be able to do that shortly
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:11 AM UTC · #24686
you cant sample pool A from midnight to noon and then pool B from noon til midnight and compare them
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:12 AM UTC · #24687
the prices of the coins will surely have changed during those 12 hours, has to be at the same time
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:12 AM UTC · #24688
I know. That’s what I was getting at earlier - hard to compare when I can only do one at a time
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:12 AM UTC · #24689
yeah once you get the other controller in
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:14 AM UTC · #24690
so are y’all freaking out ab the big drop in value?
hashingpro · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:15 AM UTC · #24694
ebb and flow sir....ebb and flow.
mkbclr · Fri Sep 15, 2017 01:15 AM UTC · #24695
lol yeah. only about a week
